i just installed power amp pro and beats audio manager, working fine so far but
would still like the original stock player also
In the default video player when ever i play the video ( in vertical holding)in generally the video should align to the middle but mostly of the time(8 out of 10 times) it is aligning to the top .
I started observing this after the recent official update ,is there any solution for this ?, Does any one of you have the same issue ?
Try clearing the application data of the video player or download a better video player: MX Player.

MX Player is the best use it
Using an alternative video player isn't solving the issue though is it? MX Player solves the problem but doesn't look as polished as the stock player.
I've had the same problem as the OP since flashing different ROMs, it certainly wasn't a problem before. There is also the same problem with YouTube in portrait mode.
Have tried clearing data and factory reset but to no avail.
It is frustrating to say the least...

I also had the same problem. And I belIeve the camera app also had the same problem...I did fix the problem....flash the fastest Rom again and problem solved.
Have tried the latest stock ROM this morning and issue still present. It is however only present on AVI files, not mp4.

I've got same problem and really no idea how to fix it
i love style of stock player but mxplayer is more powerfull
So this issue is in YouTube app, Camera app, Video Player app ... i guess it's related to root access ...

Any solution apart from installing a different ROM? Youtube gives me this problem. Quite annoying.
Even tho Max player says its compatible with JB there is no sound. I find it the best out there, but I keep having to go back to pics. Anyone have any ideas how to get round this

Mxplayer is presently one of the crappiest video players on jellybean.
I've emailed the developer and they said they working on it.
Presently, I'm using Dice player which is very good, it plays every file with sound. It also has more customizable functions than Mxplayer.
Another player I can recommend is bsplayer.
Swyped from my Samsung Galaxy SII
