The flash is working perfectly for me. I used the pro version. I haven't tried the trial version. It's really fast without 3G or Wifi compared to other browsers. The only think that sucks is that you won't be able to download a thing. I think it doesn't support downloading. It's the fastest browser I have ever known if your aim of surfing the net is to browse and watch and not downloading. I have also played Zynga Poker on Facebook using this browser. It's a bit laggy coz Galaxy Y doesn't fully supports flash.

What puffin and opera state is nothing new they run the data through they're servers and bring it back to you the thing about that is that sometimes it can omit a full web experience that's why I use opera mini (the smaller 1) for light tasks probably reading some info and I use dolphin for everything else

[Q] Which Browser Do You Use?

So since I've got my phone I've installed on 8 different browsers and still can't decide which one to use as my main one. So which browser do you use and why?
Dolphin mini because stock don't have a fast ua switch
Opera is the fastest but don't have a good configurable ua and there is no way to make it work at least for me btw opera is the fastest in all

Miren browser,
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA Premium App
Miren here too, although the stock one is really nice and smooth so I switch between them a lot...
I use Opera Mobile, couldn't stand dolphin.
Dolphin was great in earlier android devices. But is horrible now. Stock browser works great.

Definitely the stock SGS II Browser for me. on my SGS I went with dolphin. But the SGS II browser is so much better. They've tidied it up and now can finally open 8 tabs very very stable and fast.
I'm loving the browser the most! + due to Samsung's Exynos chip my SGS II renders pages apx 1.5 times quicker than my sgs on the same wifi network
i dont understand how you can use a browser except stock browser.it is the fastest smoothest browser.no lag nothing.stock browser's amazing performance was the reason for me to buy SGS2.
dolphin mini all the way

only one i tried was opera mobile but i couldnt get the flash to work ?
And with the stock browser i tried acid3test and it scored 93/100 and opera got 100/100 lol i dont know.
Any browsers that get a 100/100 in acid3 and have full flash support, or am i just a noob and not know how to activate the flash on opera?
Miron or Stock work great
Miron used to be far better but not any more.

Two friends one who has a sgs and the other iphone were amazed @ my stock browsers speed. We were all on same wifi at my friends house.
Seriously it is SGSII's best feature.
I'm not forcing you to use it, just don't rule it out thinking it'll be just like sgs stock or android stock browser before installing your own. Have a try, with bookmarks and everything. You might change your mind ☆★☆★☆

Stock browser looks like its the only one hardware accelerated. Wish there was a way to find out more info about this.
I switch between Firefox mobile and Opera Mobile. I've never even heard of Dolphin, I'll have to give it a try now!
Firefox crashes pretty often, but I still find myself using it more than the others.
I've done the hundreds of tests and stock browser is the fastest
Too bad
there's not a user settings like desktop or ipad et cetera.
Unfortunately you're stuck with mobile version sites in many instances.

GREEEEEETZ!!!
also using Opera Mini for years on all my old and current cellphones. IMHO still the fastest and when it comes to 3g it doesnt consume much of my data plan
Finally i choose dolphine mini, its more from opera mini..
Thanks for information guys

I used opera mobile.
I test some browser but some prob with these
UCbrowser= smooth than others , but uses more ram and processing use that drains your battery, and sometime it get slower.
Dolphin hd/mini= the cool browser. But on my 2g network it is slower.
Maxthon = good speed but for the tabbed browsing it is not good as opera and ucbrowser.
About opera it is best for me it is fast with opera turbo it saves your bandwidth so you browse more with paying less
Best for tabbed browsing it load websites fast and also in background
so go for opera browser

Best Browser For the S3

Done a search but nothing of relevance came up in these forums.
Just got my phone today and so far just using the stock browser which seems ok but undoubtedly there are better browsers out there, i always used X-Scope on my SGSII but im a bit tired of that now and looking for something else,i hear Chrome for ICS is supposed to be very good, so what browser is everyone using then?
Chrome is not that great on s3 yet, it lags and has touch delays..stock browser is undoubtedly the best browser I have tried . It gets the work done. Only thing I don't like is how you manage tabs . Try dolphin browser, should run as stock but with some enchanced features
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
Well the built in browser works really nice, but i personally like
firefox and that you can use addons like adblock and so that i value
a lot personally.
Though I don't currently have the S3 yet, I'll probably use Boat Browser. Easy to use and has been the best I have used for my tastes. It'll be the fist I install when I get my S3.
Dunno where you heard that Chrome 'lags', that's definately not the case. Alright, you don't have Flash. I always thought of it as a huge drawback but I haven't missed it a single time and I've been using Chrome for Android since the very beginning.
It has great tab management, staggering performance and a brilliant look. One of the best things about it is the integration with your desktop Chrome (and all other versions of Chrome you might be using.) Open tabs are synced in real time so let's just say you want to open a link from your phone on your desktop. no more mailing it around, now you can just click on it on your desktop. The bookmark sync is great too. And it's Chrome.

Use Chrome. Also install Flashify. In the rare instance you launch a site that needs flash, just click share, flashify, then select an alternative browser. The page you were browsing is then opened for you.

Before I used Dolphin, but there's a bug or something. When double tapping to zoom in on an area on the page it always zooms in to the left of the page (instead of the area you double tap)
Do more people experience this bug?
Dolphin Mini - best interface, not a ton of features
Dolphin HD - alright interface, just works
Opera Mobile - most like a PC, best comparability with websites that give trouble, has hardware acceleration, super smooth
Stock - smoothest, least features, and has problems downloading certain types of files, or downloading at all from hosting websites

Adobe Flash embedded videos not working on 4.0.4 - Fix using Nexus Files ?

Hi everyone,
as everyone knows Adobe is dropping support for Flash on Android.
Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) will NOT support Flash.
BUT Adobe is still supporting Flash for Android up to 4.0.X.
So far in theory. BUT embedded Flash Videos don't work with our Razr and every ICS Version (Leaked or not).
While Flash Menues work fine embedded Videos don't.
Test it for yourself on this sites (to prevent comments like: uhm, but its working for me):
southparkstudios.com / southpark.de --> Episodes
divshare.com
ESPN.com
ect.
Everything flash-based worked with GB 2.3.6.
Everything works on other Devices with 4.0.3 and 4.0.4 (At least the ones i know, like Galaxy SII SIII, Nexus, Odys Tablets ect.).
So it has to be some Moto/Razr bug. Especially since the Nexus shares the same CPU/GPU as the Motorola and their flash works perfect (tested myself with 4.0.4).
So i think its some hardware accelleration thinggy. Maybe someone could fix this or help me/us by sending mails & bugreports to Moto and to Adobe.
Thanks.
I have the same problem on my DROID 4 on the ICS leak

Espn.com
Gamespot
Just installed JB on my xoom. Flash works fine. And no I did not go to a F'in site that is backed up by html5. I know everyone is crying about espn.com. yea its weird it doesn't work on the razr. But I can assure you it works on my tab
same here.
it wont work on Chrome, but it's very very flakey on Firefox. and barely works in default browser.
yes, I have Flash installed.
update: and by flakey, i mean ur right. menu works. but videos doesn't. just tested on watch.ctv.ca and espn.com. (the ads works though...)
update: for ESPN.com, in Chrome, clicking on the video link of the mobile version of the site will redirect it to my MX Player, which then works fine...

Test it for yourself on this sites (to prevent comments like: uhm, but its working for me):
southparkstudios.com / southpark.de --> Episodes
divshare.com
ESPN.com
Thanks.

After downloading the update, I had to re-install Flash. Have you tried this?
Flash works flawlessly on Chinese ics, but not eu based
Sent from my XT910 using xda app-developers app
I can't use flash on eu ics based too. It wouldn't play on any browser (chrome, default browser, dolphin) that I have
This has worked for some people.
Uninstall flash.
Reboot.
Install flash.
Install adobe air.
Reboot again.

What sites are you trying? The 2 sites that I was most concerned about missing now work after having done this method. May not work for every site so its impossible to be dogmatic about it at this point.

Not sure about you guys but flash is still working fine for me even on jelly bean. you have to install the apk manually and then use a browser such as dolphin to view flash content. Screenshot taken with my nexus 7 and the same animation plays if i use my RAZR as well.

southpark studios for example, espn, liveleak etc
But watching football games at wiziwig forum which also requires flash works without any problems. This is so odd

How to* keep flash on a browser alive while in background

As of ics when you move browser in the background, that is switch from browser to another app, the flash content on the web page gets paused, like the waiting seconds countdown on a file sharing website, it simply means you can't multitask,
So is there a app that can prevent the browser from being dead in the background, or a floating browser will do the trick

sorry dude, im afraid that's not possible since the YouTube app is not designed to play video in background,n since it make little sense bcoz how you gonna watch,n if you want only audio it's not what YouTube is made for

I meant with browsers not YouTube app. With opera we can easily browse other tabs while listening to music on YouTube, even without ram manager. Well I guess I'll just have to stick with SuperVideo.
Btw, what other improvements ram manager makes? Other than keeping flash on file sharing sites while background, which opera does by itself, I think, there seems to be no visible changes..
Found a workaround in Firefox
Thought I'd share this workaround.
1. Flash Player (I'm using version 11.1.115.12)
2. Firefox for Android (version 17)
3. Use site requiring flash
4. Open settings menu in Firefox
5. Press Home/Power button to multitask/shutoff display.
Useful for flash music / radio / video.
You may want to use another browser to surf with music in the background.
cons:
Music continues playing if headphones pop out.
Not too sure of the battery drain.
Works on my stock Verizon S3 Jelly.

Got it. Misunderstood your steps. Working fine now. Thanks a lot.
Tnks, fr tc suggestion,
But wht I'm looking for is live gold rates, wht i exactly want is, when i move to another app from a browser, i still want the browser to run in background, it will be helpful to others when they r downloading files from megaupload etc where the timer stops once u leave the app

Try OverSkreen. It will keep Flash running even with the screen turned off and while using other apps. The only drawback is that you need to keep it laying on top of everything. You can make the window tiny so it's less bothersome but it would still be better to find something that runs completely in the background.
