I set an alarm, but was on vibrate. Shouldn't the alarm be audible regardless?

On my Dinc, when I opened alarm volumes there were 6 categories: Ringer, Notification, Media, Alarm, Voice Call, & System.
On the Galaxy S3, I only see Meda, Ringtone, Notifications, & System. No Alarm volume. Of course, when I go into alarms, I see a volume level for that specific alarm, but what I'm looking for is a way to change the volume on the alarm stream mainly so that when I put my phone on silent I can also turn the alarm volume completely off since silent/vibrate modes don't silence alarms.
This was easy on my Dinc - no special apps or rooting required, but can't find any way to turn off the alarm sound on my S3.
Running 6.1.A.0.452 on my SXS and it seems that the alarm ringtone has changed to an increasing type alarm. It used to just "blast" the alarm ringtone to give me a good start to the day, but now it has stopped doing that
Any suggestions on how to get it back, instead of having the increasing alarm setting?

I've noticed recently that when my alarm goes off, the alarm ringtone sound increases from low to high. I'd like to have the full blast alarm ringtone again. Any suggestions on how to have the alarm go off at full volume?

I'm using the timer in a quiet environment and I would either like to have one of the following
The timer to vibrate when the alarm sound is completely silent. I set the timer and turn off the screen but theres no vibration AND no sound so I don't know when the time is up.
OR
The timer to play the alarm through the headphones. No matter what, all the alarms play through the speaker.
Is there a timer app or alarm app can do these?
I'm using cm 10.2 on an AT&T Galaxy S3

same problem with my ticwatch e3 and I have no idea how to turn the sound off for the timer app. It is driving me mad
Hi, All -- I remember the old (pre-Lollipop) alarm app warning me if if I set an alarm that wouldn't go off because the phone was in silent mode. But with the new "no interruptions" mode in Lollipop, there's no warning if you set an alarm which won't actually sound. I always try to remember to check that the phone isn't in "no interruptions" mode after setting an alarm, but I've forgotten twice in the past year and have had alarms not go off. Is there any alarm app out there that will warn you if you're setting an alarm which won't sound?
