Try to mount it in your computer. If it does not get recognized there either, you need a new SD-card.
I have a new SD card which my Wickeyleak Whammy doesn't read. Any solutions?

I didn't have to do anything specific to make it work. It worked out of the box.

U mean the internal memory? U won't need to format it m8, just delete what's on it and just flash over whats left.
No need for a format, there probably is a section in there to format it though.

Ok but why in others post the people speak about using terminal emulator or dialer code to format sd card?
Usually with rom i used cwm to format but by sgs3 this is not possible or i wrong
It is very safe and will keep your system clear. I tried. No problem

In some versions of CWM, the internal sdcard and external SD (emmc) are flip-flopped. In order to format the internal SD of my galaxy s2 using CWM, I had to choose the option to format emmc. If I chose sdcard (which should represent internal SD), it would have formatted my external micro USB. If you have an external SD, just remove it before trying this procedure so you don't wipe the wrong thing (I have made that mistake).
Okay I did a dumb thing and hit factory reset from bootloader instead of hitting recovery. So now only twrp folder shows and I have to flash from my eternal sd card. When Im in the Rom (CM10) I have no internal memory. I recieve a need sd card message when I try to download from the browser and under storage settings it says mount sd card under internal but It never mounts. And in cm10 I cannot mount usb storage. Sooooo.... wth? Should I run an RUU or is there a simpler or less painful solution? HELP! Thanks!
P.S. Is this the answer from the F.A.Q?
"Help I flashed a new ROM/update/script and now I can't access my internal/external SD card Its OK, the SD card has been corrupted but you can reformat it with recovery itself or by using recovery to mount the card and formatting it by PC"

What the title says, whenever I flash an AOSP ROM, my internal SD card disappears, and I cannot access it until I flash back to TouchWiz. I've tried 2 different AOSP ROMs, same problem on both. When I flash between the two, I've tried naming the sdcard "sdcard" and "sdcard0" but neither work. Help me please guys..
Is your SDCard formatted as exFAT?

Nope. Fat32. My external SD card works. It seems that it mounts the internal SD card somewhere else. I don't know where though.

Missed the internal part. It should be /storage/emulated/legacy

I got it to work. I had to format my entire internal storage. Luckily I had a backup in my external card.
