I see many people here desperately looking to know 'how to get into recovery in Xperia Neo L' . I cant answer to individually each one of them, So I've created this Thread for the people who cant get into recovery from their Neo L switched off and If anything happens (such as soft bricks) they would have to reflash the whole firmware.
Im not sure that if it works for every recovery, but Im pretty sure that it works for all kind of CWM available for Sony Xperia Neo L.
Power on your device,
Wait until you see your notification LED lighted up (usually pink in Xparts)
Start pressing volume up button again and again just from the very moment you see the Notification light [Instead of again and again, Pressing the Volume up once in enough] (P.S: The Light Doesnt stay long)
That should get you into Recovery from your switched off/bricked Sony Xperia Neo L
Press Thanks you must if you think this thread I made helped you !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Volume DOWN button i think..
In my neo v i use clockworkmod, and i was trying to enter without success. Fortunatelly, i was playing around trying to find it and i found that when the blue light turns on, i have to shake literally my phone to enter cwm. So my phone uses the motion sensor.

Hello, Im trying to flash my phone with Jerpelea`s tutorial, but I cant put this phone in Flash mode, it says to hold the Back button after power it off, but it seems to have no effect at all...
also hold the back buttom while powering the phone doesnt work...
can someone help me please??
Hold back button down first then plug USB in and continue to hold back button
Hello A have the same problem is there a other whay?
Thanks
you have to switch the phone off.. take out the battery for 5 seconds (min).. then.. this is the bit you need three hands for... you need to hold the back button whilst plugging in the USB cable.. continue to hold the back button until the software tells you to let go..
Whill this work for de x10i ??
Resisting the temptation for sarcasm....
Yes, it's the x10i method.

There is only only method for the X10a/i/mini/mini pro/1.6/2.1/2.2 into flashmode, as Mr Iceman has already explained, if it doesn't work for you you're doing something wrong or your phone is broke. To save having to use 3 hands, plug the lead into the phone first, then attaching it to the PC is a much simpler task.
Oki, thank you, I will test it later because I have a bigger problem like I said here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=10781800#post10781800

SO Guys,
as u know im of course no Noob and i have some experince with android flashing/rooting/bootloader/custom ROms & Kernels, but i will buy Xperia S, so Question:
If i got Bootloop and cant pull out the battery what to do? Is there a Combination for Turning Off the Phone while boot? and i have read a few threads where people crying OMG i cant get to flashmode, is this really so?? Because i thought u can go to fastboot whatever u do with ur software..?! On arc S i always could go to Fastboot/flashmode Xperia arc S is better for Custom Roms/root hacking because battery removeable and micro sd and hardware buttons

you can remove the battery if you really want by removing the screws on the back, but there is a better way that is mentioned in the manual for the phone:
hold power button and volume up will restart, if you hold a bit longer it will shutdown the phone
this works even when the phone is booting or frozen so it is a foolproof way without unscrewing the back
i came to xperia s from an xperia play, i can say that the capacative buttons are not perfect, but are reasonable, because i found on my xplay the chrome on the buttons would slowly wear off.
you can access fastboot/flashmode same way on xperia 2012 devices
press volume up while usb plugged in for fastboot
press volume down while usb plugged in for flashmode
btw, i kinda prefer built in memory for phones, it saves me the hassle, and it is usually faster. i was kinda pissed when i bought the xperia play as a gaming phone, but i realised it only had 400mb for internal! isn't 32gb enough for you?

First of all you reset by holding power_volume up till 3 times vibrates
use the original rom and put it on firmware directory inside the flashtool
then use flashtool and flash system.sin and kernel.sin with unchecked wipes options ( by doing this you don 't lose your datas on phone )
if it dosen't repaire you must flash a clean rom again.
Boot loop Xperia S easy solution
There is easier way :
1.Turn off phone by long hold power button + volume up
2.Download Sony Updater Service program from http://software.sonymobile.com/emma/...-2.13.4.20.exe
3. Install program and follow instructions.
Good luck

Hello,
I bull**** with my xperia alone.
I think I accidentally flashed the kernel that was for xperia S.
I think because after flash the phone will not turn over.
Initially holding the volume up and power the phone vibrated, now no longer does.
Now if I attack the usb and hit the power button turns on the red light and nothing else.
How can I recover, help please!
thanks
thanks
Try holding the volume down button and attach sola with USB cable to the pc and if led shows green light, then you might be able to reflash with stock firmware again!!

Hello everyone!
I am new to this forum, but i find it the best place to find answer to my problem...
I own a Sony Xperia P and wanted to install MIUI on my phone, i had it rooted before, installed an CWM Recovery today and installed MIUI from ZIP. (Followed the instructions on the ROM page) and then it said to "Again Boot Into CWM" so i rebooted the phone and then my problem started... The phone does an vibration after booting but no screen or LED is coming up only an vibration. I got nervous and started to search over for solutions, tried to flash stock kernels or use SUS but it seems it doesn't detect phone at flashmode. When i plug in USB i get the green LED and then it comes to an short red one and dissappears. That's all i know for now if anybody of You could help me i would be really grateful

You're pressing the Power button which is the issue mate. Turn off the phone, Connect usb cable to computer, start up Flashtool and when Flashtool prompts you, holding down the Vol Key, plug in the phone and it'll work fine
Hope it helps
Cheers
