i got a problem with an i 9100P android 2.3.6 tim

thats very weird.

any hint?

go into recovery volume up + Home Key +power and clean the cache.
Then go into advanced and clean daavik cache. reboot and maybe the rom will boot up pproperly.

i did wipe data and wipe cache the problem is that it has android system recovery (3e) with no advanced option, and even if i do wipe data and reboot phone i have still all data there

Boot loop (ICS AKOP)

I don't know, want exactly append, but i tried to access to market, it froze, reboot and since then, is in a boot loop. I can get in cwm, so i tried to wipe cache (worked), wipe delvik cache (froze & reboot), wipe data / factory reset (froze). I also tried to reflash the room (worked), and the gapps (froze & reboot). Any idea what to do?
Thanks

[Q] Debug during a recovery

Hi, I installed CWM custom recovery, and took several backups. I wanted to check that the backups worked so I tried to restore them. This just made my phone not boot (it sticks at the second screen which says "Samsung GT-i5500". (I can recover from this by re-flashing the stock ROM, but this still leaves me with some useless backups.)
Is there some way I can try to debug to see where it is going wrong? I have tried to use ADB logcat (from the android SDK) but it doesnt report anything ("still waiting for device").
I dont get any errors reported during the backup or the restore.
What I used...
Odin 4.28
Custom recovery: ClockworkMod-Galaxy5-v0.5.tar (When it runs it reports that it is version v4.0.1.5)
Closed down Keis.
Leave Odin controls at defaults and just add the OPS file and the above file for 'one package'
When doing restore I have run, from the recovery menu: clear cache, data reset, clear dalvik cache.
and then select the restore option
I have a samsung galaxy 5500
when restoring stock only restore data then wipe dalvik and cache.
flash stock rom then advanced restore data then wipe dalvik cache and cache.

Click to collapse
Thanks ashley117, but I didnt understand this. It was a bit too brief for me to follow (I'm just new to android).
"when restoring stock only restore data"
Not sure how to do this - it only comes as a single package.
Or did you mean when restoring my backup?
I was wondering how much this would restore. Will it do everything that would have happened if restore was working - will it preserve unlocked phone and rooted phone etc?

[Q] Bootloop after flashing stock ROM via Odin. I think I've tried everything.

The Wifi on my phone wasn't turning on, even after factory reset, so I reflashed stock ROM via Odin (v3.07)
I got stuck in a bootloop, and after factory reset via the stock recovery + wipe of cache partition, it was still stuck.
I then re-flashed the stock ROM. Still stuck.
Tried using Kies 3, with the firmware upgrade and installation tab. Said something about not supporting my phone when I was prompted to plug it in. (SM-G355H; Samsung Galaxy Core II Duos)
I then found an unofficial version of CWM v6 for my phone (there's no official support), and quickly flashed that (via Odin 3.09; which is what I use from this point on), forgetting that my phone was no longer rooted. I wiped davlik cache and data. Still stuck. Then I rooted my phone. Stuck.
Then I reflashed stock ROM (this time, I downloaded from another website) (to test my luck, I tried seeing if simply a factory reset and cache wipe would work. It did not) rooted my phone, and flashed CWM. Wiped davlik cache. Still stuck.
By the way, when I wipe davlik cache it says:
Warning: no file_contexts
E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]
Davlik Cache wiped.
Any ideas on what to do now? I can't send it to a manufacturer / repair store where I live. I'm thinking maybe I should untick Auto Reboot and/or F. Reset Time when flashing, use an earlier version of Odin or the ROM itself, or maybe there is something I can do with ADB? I'm not very familiar with it, but I'm more than willing to learn. I just need some direction...
I was just trying to fix my WiFi... :crying:
Update: Flashed with Auto Reboot unticked. Still in bootloop.
Alright, I fixed it by using Kies, via firmware upgrade and installation. You have to ignore where it says that your device is not supported, and just leave it to download. If you get stuck on the setup screen like I did, try cache wipe + factory reset. If it doesn't work flash an earlier version of the firmware. You might be using the wrong region (It's not always your country), use Kies to check. When it tells you what pda/ modem / csc it wants to update the region will be in parentheses ( eg ACR). Use all of them possible

Can only boot into recovery TWRP [Half Loop]

I was running cm12.1_janice-130915 on my Samsung Galaxy S Advance I9070 for a couple of days, than I got a bug which could perhaps be fixed by wiping the dalvik chache and another chache, so I long-clicked the power button, opened the reboot menu and chose 'Reboot into Recovery' after which it rebooted into recovery. However when I tell it from the recovery to reboot to system, it won't, it will reboot to recovery again.
So I started of by wiping partitions and chaches in the hope that the setting would be 'undone' in the end I did a factory reset and put the rom on my phone again, though it's still booting into recovery modus.
I don't know what I could do anymore. ADB-sideload won't run (if that would be any help). Is my phone a brick now or is there hope?
Sounds like you will need to restore the stock firmware / OS with Odin.

TWRP reboots and doesn't let me wipe

So I'm trying to clean flash a ROM and I want to wipe Cache, Dalvik, System and Data, but TWRP reboots every time and doesn't finish the wipe. And nothing gets wiped.
I tried only a cache + dalvik, but nada. Instant reboot to my home screen.
Tried TWRP 3.0.2.1 and 3.1.0.0 both, same issue.
Ideas?
Solved it. Went back to the May update via fastboot & rerooted + TWRP (latest). Done and dusted.
Mods may close this thread.
Same problem here. Any solution aside from flashing factory image?
