Is there any way to allow drawing mode with the S Pen even with the use of a 3rd party keyboard like swype? I installed swype and am not using the included swype BTW but it doesn't work in the included swype or the swype beta.

Atm im using Swype beta keyboard. But im keen to hear other options what do people prefer.
Free or paid aps. Lets get a list going here.
list so far
* Better keyboard 8
* Skype Beta
* Stock
* Gingerbread Keyboard
* Thumb keyboard
* Smart Keyboard Pro
I use Better Keyboard 8
Using stock one atm (it works pretty darn well imho)
Might try the gingerbread keyboard which should be hanging around on xda here somewhere. (It's been great on my samsung galaxy spica)
Thumb keyboard looks nice too for thumb typing in landscape
One thing i'm missing in quite a few keyboards is arrows to go back a few letters.
Thumb keyboard, it have almost everything, including the arrow keys
Thumb keyboard : letters and numbers are shown on the same keyboard
I am using smart keyboard on my 70 . Its looking great on portrait and landscape .. Has a good support for languages that i need . I just remove few features from settings like sounds haptic feedback and few others to become as responsive as the normal keyboard ... Has not split keyboard support so may not be the best option for 101 .
I tried 6 or 7, and for me Smart Keyboard Pro is the best, especially after a bit of configuration.
I use Hacker's Keyboard at the moment. It has all the extra things like Escape which are useful for me in terminals, etc.
swype,
I liked slideit more but was having problems with the latest version.
Thumb keyboard on 101.
I use "Any Soft Keyboard".
I need a 3 language full support, and it do this well.
Thumb keyboard..
the best keyboard i've used..
I use slideit, but it is not as good as Swype.
Can you tell me how to get swype to work again with Swype 3.0?
I always get the message This version of swype has an invalid license and will operate with limited functionality. This is strange because you would think that an tablet version would work on a tablet as my Archos 43IT

+1 for Thumb keyboard on A70
I use swiftkey beta keyboard. pretty good with thumb mode landscape - two little 1/2 keyboards on the edges and number pad in middle.
Absolutely no competition here ,
+1 Thumb Keyboard ........ Head and shoulders above. 101it
SlideIt keyboard for me. I couldn't find Swype when I was looking, but with the new version of Slideit, you can adjust the size in landscape, so it works perfect.
Anyone change their stock CM7 keyboards I like some of the replacement keyboards I've seen but wonder if it's safe to install these? I would like a keyboard with bigger keys and a .com key
Hacker & Swype installed without issue here
using thumb keyboard which has pretty big keys. might want to try that out.
I like thumbs keyboard as well, but I have had some occasional force close issues with it. they are rare. I use this keyboard with my phone, tablet, and nook
Using Swype and Slideit both successfully on CM7. Swype in CM9 becomes almost half size and I have to install from backup.

i used slideit on my original inc (like it better than swype and the other keyboard apps).
since switching to the 4g i've been using the stock htc keyboard with swype enabled. it's been working fine for me so i have not installed any keyboard app.
yesterday i saw this thread...

after a day's use this is a great keyboard app! more responsive and configurable than the stock keyboard... combines features of apps such as swiftkey, swype, etc...
my biggest concern so far is that it calls home for updates. i have not found a way to stop that. i don't like my apps updating unless i manually allow it. i don't know if there's something i can do to stop this or not.
I installed Kii from the Playstore and it updates through there. There's been about 3 updates in the last week but I keep going back to the swiftkey flow beta it's been the best I've used.

This is a really nice keyboard replacement. There are a couple of features that I like on Swype better tho. Easy punctuation by sliding from the character to the space bar and easy dictionary input. If there's there's an easy way to do this with kii I haven't found it yet

is there anyway to know which third party keyboards are safe to use?
Is like a neon one but the warning message when setting it makes me nervous about the possibility of it recording and sending my input.
I'm pretty sure that pops up for most if not all third party keyboards. Stick with the big names and you should be fine. I personally use Swiftkey.
Go with the famous ones: swiftkey, touchpal,slide it or the google stock keyboard

I want to switch the default honor keyboard what do you guys prefer to use? Can you post screenshot also? Thanks ?
I use Xperia keyboard
SwiftKey has been my default keyboard for years. It is able to load 3 languages simultaneously, learn and saves the words and predicts the next words based on your typing history. Whenever I change phone or did a reset, I just have to log in to my account and get all my previous typing history without the need for the app to relearn it again. For example, when I type in my office address, after I put in the company name it straight away suggests the address, I just need to select it in the prediction/suggestion bar no need to retype.

Steering wheel and pedals.
oh no, wait. ... gboard.
GBoard and Hackers Keyboard
Gboard
I use GBoard and SwiftKey. I keep changing between them but as of now I'm using GBoard.

I use SWIFTKEY and Huawei swype
Gboard is the best with no lag.
Currently using GBoard
Gboard is the best with all features, no lag.small size.
Swiftkey. I tried Gboard but I like the features on Swiftkey better.
AnySoftKeyboard as it is quite customizable
Gboard is coolest one.
GBoard for the dual-language gesture typing support.
