What keyboard do you prefer? - Honor 8 Themes, Apps, and Mods

I want to switch the default honor keyboard what do you guys prefer to use? Can you post screenshot also? Thanks ?

I use Xperia keyboard

SwiftKey has been my default keyboard for years. It is able to load 3 languages simultaneously, learn and saves the words and predicts the next words based on your typing history. Whenever I change phone or did a reset, I just have to log in to my account and get all my previous typing history without the need for the app to relearn it again. For example, when I type in my office address, after I put in the company name it straight away suggests the address, I just need to select it in the prediction/suggestion bar no need to retype.

SmartKeyboard

Google keyboard

Steering wheel and pedals.
oh no, wait. ... gboard.

GBoard and Hackers Keyboard

Gboard

I use GBoard and SwiftKey. I keep changing between them but as of now I'm using GBoard.

Chrooma Keyboard (epic!)
G-Board :3

Fleksy, Best keyboard for Android

Older Google keyboard V5.1.23.xxx and Hackers keyboard V1.37

I use SWIFTKEY and Huawei swype

Gboard is the best with no lag.

Currently using GBoard

Gboard is the best with all features, no lag.small size.

Swiftkey. I tried Gboard but I like the features on Swiftkey better.

AnySoftKeyboard as it is quite customizable

Gboard is coolest one.

GBoard for the dual-language gesture typing support.

Swiftkey and Google voice to text

Is it possible to use the Swiftkey keyboard and us Google voice to text at the same time. I like the Swiftkey word correction and keyboard style but I personally. Hate its voice to text

not related to swiftkey and google voice, but swype with dragon go is pretty sweet.
Only solution I've found when using an alternative keyboard is to pull down the notification when in a text input area. You should see a keyboard icon and "Select Input Method" in the Notifications.
This only lets you select the Google Voice Typing for that one instance.
I don't understand why the alternative keyboards don't allow you to select the default voice input, but it is what it is...
There's gotta be a better way but I'm having the same problem too. I love swiftkey but hate its voice to text. I've been looking for this for a couple days and posted on Android Central a out it but nothing so far. I'll come back if I find something.
Has anyone found a fix to this? I would also like to know the solution. I enjoy SwiftKey's keyboard, however, I prefer the voice-to-text feature found on Android's default keyboard...
You may want to check out AI type Keyboard Plus (similar to Swiftkey keyboard) as it uses the ICS voice to text feature as default
Do you use that? And if so have you used swiftkey 3?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2
Yes I use both and honestly I think the AI plus keyboard is just as good as Swiftkey. The one thing I really like about it is that the predictions bar works in almost every app, unlike Swiftkey, which only works ,at least for me, in certain apps.
There is a free version if you want to try it out
Cool I'm gonna try it out tonight. I live swiftkey but I want to use the vtt more and doing like theirs. Google definitely made theirs much better on ics.

Vote here and they will hopefully integrate voice typing from ICS/JB

What's Your Favorite Android Keyboad & Why??

Hey there guys, I have been on the hunt for the Best Android Keyboad, and I wanted to see what everyone here was using?? I have tried stock, predictive, and the slide type, (I have not had the chance to play with any of the other 3rd party keyboards, with all sorts of different technology's.
So, I was wondering if some of you fellow xda-ers wanted to weight in on this, and help guide me on my adventure??
Thanks in advance :cool

swype for normal language but my most preferred is hackers keyboard. latter has a full keyboard like on pc when in landscape mode. pretty awesome on big screens like galaxy note. also almost every keyboard has the stupid white text entry over the entire remaining screen where there is not the keyboard, which hides my chat windows away and makes landscape a pain. hackers keyboard does not do such. you have keyboard and chatlog.
I like Android 4.2's stock keyboard. It has everything you need. Predictive text, spell-checking, gesture typing, multiple finger gesture typing. I use English Azerty, and it is just great for me!
Swype, until I get 4.2

Swype, although the 4.2 keyboard's implementation of this looks nice. I also like Hacker's Keyboard on my tablet which is just a PC looking keyboard layout. If they could implement a Swype functionality with it then it would be my favorite.
Swiftkey 3 is my Favourite.
Simply because
1)It is more intuitive than the rest, thus producing more CORRECT Auto Correction
2)It learns your way of typing and in real time monitors all that you type and maintains your individual statistics
3)It individually Learns from your fb,sms, email and twitter threads.
4)It also provides a good number of visual customization options
Thus overall it proves to be the best package

Thanx guys for the input, and all the great info I find ShayonX, IMO, as to swiftkey 3, and as far as "prediction boards", go I think there is no better. I was actually going to go with swiftkey 3, but I just found it was lacking on skins, and customization. I like to be able 2 change the size, and width of my characters, (due to wide fingers), and skins are a great Addition
I tried Swift key 3, touchpal keyboard, go keyboard, and perfect keyboard, and ended up going with "perfect keyboard, bcuz the customization is very deatailed. I also tried swype style keyboard, but I found predictive to be the style for me.
I am running the Moto Phonton, so I won't be getting the 4.0 or 4.2 update, so is there anything else out there to look @??

Keyboard preference

Normally on my devices I use Swiftkey/Swiftkey Tablet for my devices (Galaxy Nexus and ASUS Infinity). But on the N10 I prefer the new Google keyboard with its swiping. I wish it had the better predictions of Swiftkey though... I bet Swiftkey Flow will be the best if both (also I think the Google keyboard is better proportioned for the N10.
What is everyone using?

Thumb Keyboard 4, in 10" tablet mode with some custom tweaks is my favorite by far. In 10" mode it is a split keyboard in both portrait and landscape, with a number pad and commonly used characters/punctuation in the middle (as well as long-press numbers).
Swiftkey Tablet is ok but a bit ugly IMO and lacks the customization features I've grown to love in Thumb KB. I don't use prediction that often so there goes a big benefit of using Swiftkey in the first place.
And I've never ever liked and never ever will like gesture keyboards, so the stock KB was turned off almost as soon as the device booted.
Swiftkey 3 Tablet is the best in my opinion.
Can't use a regular keyboard on an N10 due to the size of the screen and with SK3 it's easy to type with my thumbs in landscape mode.
You have the ability to switch to regular qwerty format if you wanted to.
Thumb Keyboard! The prediction / auto correction is flawless.
The customization is really nice...lots of theme / sound / haptic feedback combos to choose from.

How do you move the numbers on top? I can't seem to find that in the settings...
Guess I'll have to check out Thumb Keyboard

Under the Keyboard's Advanced Settings, you'll want to create a Custom input style (I use English (US) with PC Layout). Save it, and then set it as the default input language (may have to deselect "Use system language", then select the PC layout input, and then deselect any other Active Input Methods)
Main: SwiftKey
Secondary: Swype
Fun sometimes: FloatnSplit

I am a thumb keyboard fan. Very customizable. Swiftkey predictions were way off base whacky for me and size of keys was not customizable enough for my small hands. You can customize height, but not width, so using split keyboard in landscape mode didn't work well for me. Couldn't reach many of the keys easily. Thumb keyboard lets me customize both aspects, among many other things.

another user of thumb keyboard :good:

Alternative keyboards for TrueSmart

I'm relatively satisfied using the Flesky keyboard with my Omate TS, but since Swiftkey just went free, and I use Thumb Keyboard in my phone, I've been wondering what is the experience of other TS users with alternative keyboards, maybe better suited for small screens. I tried minuum for a while but I couldn't get used to it.

Hi.
I've just installed SwiftKey but it doesn't work. It only displays two lines of letters. Not optimised for small screens by the looks of it.
What works for me is voice typing using the Google keyboard. Pretty good actually.

I like MessagEase. The 3x3 layout fits in a small screen and gives me all letters in a single swipe (including french keyboard keys).
Interesting!!
I am using Google Voice because the Omate Fleksy is not in Spanish languaje.
I will try Minumm and Flit

Offence taken.
I preferred Graffiti
I preferred Graffiti to Flesky, Minumm and Flit on small screen of a smart watch, I never see anyone mentioned it though.
I seldom post and still could not post a url, copy and paste please.

I unchecked the Input Word Learning and Word Prediction in its Settings.

Keyboards

What are you guys using for keyboards?, native or something else
I use Google keyboard
I'm on the SwiftKey.
Just downloaded Go keyboard for a test drive
I use Google keyboard because it keeps all my vocab when I cross device. It would be cool if it could customize into being a thumb keyboard or something like Xperia Keyboard.
SwiftKey for me. I bounced around when I got this device I find that swift is more accurate with my rapid texting.
On swift and like it so far. Thanks for the heads up
I use fleksy! You should try it out if you get the chance. No swype but the correction is top notch.
