Any bugs or quirks we should know about?
I'm itching to install, but mine is actually running pretty stable on stock.
Also, does official CM10 have OC support for the kernel?

I haven't noticed any bugs so far (with like 5 minutes of use anyway). No OC or Voltage Adjustment support with the Kernel
Looking good. Speaking about serious modding, how would Windows 8, full or RT run on the Nexus 10, if at all?

Spec-wise, probably wouldn't be too much of a problem. But it wouldn't be an easy task. WinRT requires a secure bootloader, which the Nexus 10 (nor most/all non-WinRT devices) doesn't have. Next would be driver support, and I'm somewhat certain no public drivers exist for Exynos 5 platform on WinRT.

Cool
Well, the first nightly for Nexus 10 seems to be off to a better start then the Nexus 7's first nightly; that one didn't even boot
On the note of updating to future nightlies/builds, what is needed for such a process? CM10 has a built-in updater now it seems, but I can't say I've heard reports of how it worked.

Unless Microsoft compiles windows for the ARM architecture, there is no chance of it ever running on one of these devices ... Windows is X86/x64 .

in my mind a big problem of the updater is, that the updater doesn't include gapps. so if i want to make an update all the google apps are lost.
so i have to use the recovery mode furthermore

Hello,
I was using Opera Mobile on my Nexus 10 and had always the problem to touch on the menu, reload or tabs button when browsing because they were so small.
I recently found in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874641 how to patch and change between phone and tablet mode of opera.
To activete phone mode /with bigger buttons) on opera you have to add
Code:
const-string v0, "Nexus 10"
invoke-virtual {p0, v0}, Lcom/opera/common/r;->add(Ljava/lang/Object;)Z
to the com.opera.browser/smali/com/opera/common/CommonUtils$2.smali file.
If you are optimizing Opera think about using the extension enabled opera with AdBlock from here: http://dev.opera.com/articles/view/extensions-opera-mobile-labs/
Enjoy it!

Thanks Billy! Very Kind of you.
I tried it for a little bit and I love the interface change, but it's an older version of Opera. 12.0 isn't quite as fast as the newer 12.1.3
Thank you none the less.
Unless I can bribe you into doing this fix to the newer version of Opera mobile?
If not I'll say Thank you again! and Stick with Ocean and Dolphin for now.

I'll absolutely give it another try. It didn't dawn on me to try adblock even though you said in the original post to try the extensions enabled version with adblock... That's what I get for not paying attention.
Also that would be very cool if you could! I know the new opera performed nicely on my Galaxy Note.
Thanks for all the help Billy. Sorry for being such a newbie with this stuff.

The version is not with AdBlock, it is an extension enabled version from Opera. You can e.g. install Adblock extension.
If you install AdBlock you have to increase opera:config#PersistentStorage|DomainQuotaForWidgetPreferences (http://www.opera.com/support/usingopera/operaini/#persistent_storage) if you get a message about "exceeded storage quota" to 5120.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, the official play store version is running fine. If I want to install the patched version I get an error massage that install failed, so prior to install the patched version the current opera has to be removed. I'm running cm10.1 on my n10.

So I'll make this quick... just doing some google kung fu, I came across a Spanish forum... HTCMania (http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=836297)
Word is that user Davidvaz is responsible for this work and all credit goes to him as such, as I said I didnt' build this, just found it.
Low and behold, someone built a working Sailfish OS port for our Nexus 5... and it's actually pretty dang functional... You had to flash it on top of an existing CM 11 install and stuff.. but I combined the two and rewrote the updater script into one flashable zip.
Here's a rough idea of what works and what doesn't:

"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Also not working: Terminal Application. Installing applications from the Jolla Market.
This is very much a work in progress but it's very functional and I'm very impressed with Sailfish. Have fun!
Oh! And I'm pretty sure you can make it work with MultiROM if you have a primary that utilizes a kernel with kexec hardboot support... Don't quote me on that! I don't use it so I'm not sure... I'm sure someone will make it work if it doesn't already, though.
Download Mod Edit:Link Removed.. sorry copy.com is lame I guess, haha. Once someone downloads if they could mirror it on mega or someplace.. upload stinks.
Looks interesting, will download once upload's done.
upload is done. let me know if theres any issues with the updater script or flash itself..
Issues with the rom, however, I probably won't be able to assist you with.
Thanks for finding will give it a go....never enough roms for this rock bottom crack flashin fool.... Thanks for feeding my addiction... And glad you checked HTC Mania Ive found a few there, VampSkyDragon (lol that name cracks me up) and SlimVamp (again lol)... Probably one of the least likely Nexus 5 Rom places you'd think to look but they do have some so good lookin out.

This is only the Sailfish OS, you need to flash CM11 first before flashing this on your Nexus 5.

I tried it, working smoothly, however you cannot install Android Apps yet, Home screen doesn't align well and camera is broken.
Anybody try it out yet and is everything working? Screen shots would be nice to see =) Thanks!
Hi there. I know it's not my problem. But I know the guy who did this work in HTCMania and others here on XDA. He is Davidvaz, I use one of your roms, and I think you should at least mention it here.
At least say his name because many people do not look at the link, just go directly to download

My concern was the baseband. I'm new to G3 and rooted/recovery with the latest. Didn't known if I'd have an issue flashing a kitkat ROM.
Many thanks for the quick reply.
Question. I'm on Android 5.1.1 and with a different baseband. Do I need to revert back to kitkat baseband in order for me to flash this?

I had no issue flashing on lollipop baseband.
Initial tests showed cellular, WiFi, and GPS all working. I don't have anything Bluetooth or NFC to pair with so I can't comment on those...however, auto brightness did not seem to work for me. YMMV..
Thank you Chevelle. Well done for an initial release.
Damn. Here come the big guns for our device
Installed as secondary rom. Seems to run good. I keep getting a message saying I have insufficient funds to message or something. Haven't looked far into it yet to see what it actually is. It's from me to me lol. Thanks for the rom

This is awesome to have!!! Is the GSM on this working? Where I can add, edit apn to get it working on MetroPCS(T-Mobile) or is this strictly fixed for Verizon?
wish we could get more 4.4.4 ROMS
Running this amazing ROM. So far so good! Issue I've run into since install is that video record with stock camera lead to force close.
Was able to get Mobile connection/data off MetroPCS/T-Mobile. Haven't tried out themes. Will post updates later on today battery life. Again thanks for the ROM!

So far really liking this! It's a little different getting used to, but the only issues I've noticed so far are the following:
- As someone stated previously, video recording in the stock camera app FC's, and auto brightness appears to not work
- My "weather" and "calendar" apps have no icons....they're just completely clear lol
- In settings > additional settings > buttons > custom key position, you can only see 2 out of the 3 keys at any point....making it difficult to reorder if you aren't careful
- In the play store, pretty much every app I download warns me that "this app is very large" and offers to proceed on wifi only. Even though I'm already connected to wifi and already have said yes on 10 other apps lol. This may not be a bug I'm not sure, but just thought I'd throw it out there.
- Finally, I'm sure it might not even be possible, but I already miss dt2s and dt2w lol.... Switching launchers I can at least get dt2s working
Other than that I'm very impressed with this so far, definitely hoping that this continues to get updated on a regular basis!! Thank you so much for your great work on this so far @Chevelle1768!!
Thanks for this rom. Thanks for keeping this great phone alive. Can't wait to where this rom goes.
I keep getting a notification that my Sim card can't be authorized followed by about 20 texts saying I have insufficient funds to send a message. Which is weird cuz I'm texting my girlfriend at the same time. All my phone info is right. I'm logged into my mi account. So I don't know.

The N5X version of this update was released yesterday had some performance improvements and more: http://www.androidpolice.com/2016/0...emp-option-performance-improvements-and-more/
A reddit user named GoogleNexusCM, who claims to be the Nexus product forum manager posted this the 6P subreddit
I want to let you all know that an OTA update will begin rolling out today for the 6P. We value and listen to your feedback, and this update includes a number of bug fixes that will improve overall stability and performance on the Nexus 6P.

The fixes for this build are similar to the ones I mentioned for the 5X. Some of the fixes will help with/address:
General device performance
DND next alarm disappearing issue
Carrier-specific bug fixes
Connectivity improvements
I also should mention that the builds mentioned on the developers site are carrier specific, with the majority of carriers worldwide being on MHC19I (5X equivalent - MHC19J).

Hey, I noticed some weird stuff when I started playing around a bit after flashing back to MMB29V. (developer options wouldn't work, quick settings wouldn't come down from the dropdown). And yes, I was on MMB29V when I flashed MHC19I.
Now that I can get into TWRP, I can at least restore my backup. It will complain that system is mounted as Read Only. Just go to "Mount" in TWRP and uncheck the "mount system in Read Only" checkbox and Put a checkmark next to "System" in the list of partitions to mount. My nandroid is restoring right now. I'll update when it is complete.
EDIT: Nandroid restored and all is good again!

It would be most helpful if you know how to and have compiled a linux kernel from scratch in the past. The only thing I ask is that you read the entirety of this post before installing.
Download
Setup:
Unable to complete handset setup
After setting up WiFi if you are stuck at handset migration move back to the first language selection screen. Then hit next as fast as you can. Should skip you past problematic screen.
After you have completed setting up your handset install OpenGapps AARM64 architecture
Unable to send or receive phone calls.
After you install OpenGapps phone should begin to work properly again.
After installing let Davik cache rebuild for 10-15 minutes. I don't know why but that fixed it for me.
If you appreciate hard work and you'd like to contribute me moving out of my mothers basement here's my bitcoin address

what is this supposed to be??? Op seems kind of obscure as to what the purpose of the thread is
If you know what those kernel modules are, then you know what it does. I don't want to hold people's hands walking them though how to use it. If that's what XDA is for I'm just going to move it to my website and have this thread locked.
Its a rom with kernel modules so you can run Linux in a chroot with all the capabilities of a laptop for penetration testing. Its like the PwnieExpress. Except it actually works. Well, not yet, but I'm working on it. The things baked into the PwnieExpress anyone can install without having to jump through a million hoops anyway. I'm trying to do the hard stuff of enabling radio frequency hacking on your handset.
Eventually if I ever get a jtagulator I'll rip my phone apart and begin analyzing and dissecting the individual flash nand chips. The broadcom chip on the phone looks to not have been neutered either.
One for mine... ????

Well I was running my kernel build until today. It was working fine. Time for me to build a new kernel. Not because this one doesn't work but Cyanogen is officially dead so I'll be forking and building from AOSP sources now. :crying:

Is the lineage kernel so different?

I would say build from lineage.
Lineage OS is nothing more than a rebrand. It's still CyanogenMod.

Yeah I'll look into it. I'll probably build a new kernel tonight or tomorrow. It really works my CPU I might look into continuous builds using jenkins on a AWS instance if I can.
