My concern was the baseband. I'm new to G3 and rooted/recovery with the latest. Didn't known if I'd have an issue flashing a kitkat ROM.
Many thanks for the quick reply.

Question. I'm on Android 5.1.1 and with a different baseband. Do I need to revert back to kitkat baseband in order for me to flash this?

I had SlimLP 5.1.1 installed I just wiped and installed the rom with a KK gapps, everything seems ok at the moment but your experience my very.

I had no issue flashing on lollipop baseband.
Initial tests showed cellular, WiFi, and GPS all working. I don't have anything Bluetooth or NFC to pair with so I can't comment on those...however, auto brightness did not seem to work for me. YMMV..
Thank you Chevelle. Well done for an initial release.

Damn. Here come the big guns for our device

Installed as secondary rom. Seems to run good. I keep getting a message saying I have insufficient funds to message or something. Haven't looked far into it yet to see what it actually is. It's from me to me lol. Thanks for the rom
Sent from my VS985

Excited to see where this one goes!! Thanks for yet another choice in roms!

This is awesome to have!!! Is the GSM on this working? Where I can add, edit apn to get it working on MetroPCS(T-Mobile) or is this strictly fixed for Verizon?

wish we could get more 4.4.4 ROMS

Running this amazing ROM. So far so good! Issue I've run into since install is that video record with stock camera lead to force close.
Was able to get Mobile connection/data off MetroPCS/T-Mobile. Haven't tried out themes. Will post updates later on today battery life. Again thanks for the ROM!

I didn't have to do anything. It says unknown baseband but everything works fine. I did have to flash superSU from recovery to get root access.

So far really liking this! It's a little different getting used to, but the only issues I've noticed so far are the following:
- As someone stated previously, video recording in the stock camera app FC's, and auto brightness appears to not work
- My "weather" and "calendar" apps have no icons....they're just completely clear lol
- In settings > additional settings > buttons > custom key position, you can only see 2 out of the 3 keys at any point....making it difficult to reorder if you aren't careful
- In the play store, pretty much every app I download warns me that "this app is very large" and offers to proceed on wifi only. Even though I'm already connected to wifi and already have said yes on 10 other apps lol. This may not be a bug I'm not sure, but just thought I'd throw it out there.
- Finally, I'm sure it might not even be possible, but I already miss dt2s and dt2w lol.... Switching launchers I can at least get dt2s working
Other than that I'm very impressed with this so far, definitely hoping that this continues to get updated on a regular basis!! Thank you so much for your great work on this so far @Chevelle1768!!

Thanks for this rom. Thanks for keeping this great phone alive. Can't wait to where this rom goes.

I keep getting a notification that my Sim card can't be authorized followed by about 20 texts saying I have insufficient funds to send a message. Which is weird cuz I'm texting my girlfriend at the same time. All my phone info is right. I'm logged into my mi account. So I don't know.

BT Mac address
Anyone else having my issue with the BT mac address being changed to "00:00:00:00:5A:AD"? I had this on CM11 also but it was a different incorrect address and I was able to fix it. I've posted details in my thread for fixing the issue on CM11. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2759056#post58131969
Awesome work. Running 1/15 build. Gps was only issue. Great u got it submitted. Thanks a million!
no cellular connection on 1/18 nightly?
I updated my E970 to 1/18 nightly from 1/15 in the usual way and cannot get any cellular connection. not even for phone/texting let alone data.
I'm downgrading to my 1/15 backup now.
I've noticed cm12 seems to take a long time to connect to cellular for me. You did wait long enough right?

I waited much longer than usual. My son just reported the same issue on MotoG. Sounds like a CM12 issue not E970 specific.

same problem for me
***1/18/15 nightly*** Cell/data signal failure, Bluetooth mac problem 00:00:00:00:5a:ad. Intermittent bluetooth a2dp media push. Submitted bug report. Reverted to 1/15/15 nightly backup.
Thanks for hard work guys and girls.
Im on the 1/15 build and Im getting huge battery drain from cell standby even though Im getting good coverage here. This has been the case for most cm12 roms. Tried flashing different kernels and modems but I still keep getting huge cell standby battery drain. Any ideas?
Another strange behavior to report, when using the flashlight option from the quick settings, auto focus seems to be enabled, so my phone is clicking while I'm trying to look at something close up.
I also upgraded from the 13/1 nightly to the 18/1 nightly and I didn't get any cell reception whatsoever. Had to downgrade back to the 13/1.
same problem
issue is with cm12 18th jan nightly as it appears. i was also concerned that something is gone wrong with my phone when i update to 18jan nightly from 14th jan. no cellular network at all!!
however, while searching over web; lots of other users have reported the same issue. hope they will fix it tonight!! cant live without a phone; cant roll back as dont have any backup

Works on d802. Still I would recommend reading the OP here. Just translate it to English (using google translate etc)
Not sure about bootloader.
I was on SimpleROM Grola v1.2. and I just wiped and installed this ROM in TWRP.
Whatever the bootloader on SimpleROM Grola requires. It works on that.
Installed a few mins ago on D802 Int, currently setting up and restoring, came from 802 Lillipp rls (stock) - wiped all and installed this rom
After install i get massive LGSmardCardService has stopped workin, didn't need that so i deleted it
Will report back more later

You was under stock lollipop right? Could you explain which bootloader/baseband/stuff like this you flashed please ?
it is for all variants lg g2 ?,,,,, my unit is the D801

Also, xposed module g3tweaksbox works great on this ROM

No luck installing on my D801. I tried first from rooted V30B but it stayed on the LG Logo for 15+ minutes with only a slow flashing LED. I was able to get back into recovery and restore my backup but I'm anxious to give this G3 port a try.

Having some Bluetooth issues. Seems that the phone will only recognize nearby devices by only displaying their addresses. No other info shows and when trying to sync (my Fitbit Charge) it does not want to connect at all.
Hoping there will be a fix, I flashed the latest modem when first having the issue of no 3G/4G, and that seemed to work well, however it didn't fix Bluetooth.
Unfortunately, I will wait for more info before making this a daily. My fitbit owns me and requires that I sync it. One of us. One of us. One of us.

Just in the last week or 2(that I've noticed) a lot of our ROMs are doing a baseband check before the install; incompatible modem will give you a boot error and the ROM wont flash. I'm guessing your modem is 23c already since you're also using stock based ROMs, so that's why you wouldn't have had the error. The older 5.1.1 ROMs would let you roll with older modems, but not anymore I guess. (EDIT - I failed to mention you can flash you preferred/older modem once you are all booted and setup.)
And also, it's nice to have a ROM that supports RRO layers :good:
Can someone recommend a good dark layers theme with stock lollipop stausbar and navbar icons? Thanks

I have Android Pay working on the official LVY48F image, but I'm pretty sure the DPI change that was done with this will not work with it. Also had to hold off on rooting until after it was set up.
Sorry guys. I didn't mean to change it in the rom. I just wanted it set to 460 on my phone. I can give you a different build.prop file or correct it and upload again. Give me a second and I'll upload a correct build and a 2nd flashable zip to correct dpi only.
EDIT: Attached is the flashable zip to set the density to 560 which is stock. I am uploading the full ROM with it corrected and I will post the link here when it's done.
P.S. If someone tries the attached zip, please post and confirm that it fixed your DPI. Thanks!

You shouldn't be receiving an update message is you're running this build. Check your settings about and make sure that your build number is LVY48F. The update will fail if you try to accept it.
I got the update notification when I first booted but have not seen it since.
Was running the wrong version, 48C, my bad. Thanks guys.

If you ever get another one, don't update. It'll fail if you have a custom recovery. Even if you had stock recovery, you'll then lose root and be encrypted again. Wait for a ROM update.
^^ what he said, learned that the hard way

I think it'll fail even if you're so much as rooted.

Hello everyone,
I'm running into an issue here, I flashed this ROM so I could activate my Project Fi invite. Unfortunately, I am getting the same message as I've gotten on every other ROM. First, I will get error T301 and cannot do anything I'm the app. Eventually I get around it by attempting to choose network operators in the settings but get stuck at the part where I am trying to transfer my number. After typing in all the account info and selecting next, I get a notification at the bottom of the screen that reads "something went wrong".
I've been wondering, do I need to flash any of the radios, base (baseband?), or any other of the things that are linked in the OP? If so, which ones?
P.S. I have never flashed a different radio or bootloader etc. on this phone since I purchased in May.
If that's not the case does anyone have any idea what could be the issue? Any help is highly appreciated and I thank you in advance!

MTP workaround
By going into the Developer Options and under the Networking Title, if you configure the "USB Configuration" to MTP, you can transfer files from PC to phone w/out having to move files within recovery mode.

Hi,
Like others in this thread, I've been waiting awhile for a CM release for the Sprint M9. Great work!
I have two questions:
* What is currently working/not working?
* Is S-OFF required? I'm more interested in AOSP and tethering than SuperUser, and I do not want to pay $25 for Sunshine.
Thanks!
I'm not s-off and all his ROMs are working perfectly. Just flash it and enjoy.

By the way...... to get this working I did the following....
Downloaded SE Linux Mode Changer
Set to Permissive
Rebooted
Installed the Viper4Android APK
Installed V4A Driver
Rebooted
Launched V4A and set to Enabled and then also Force Enable
Reverted back to Enforcing SELinux mode
Result was almost blowing out my new 12" subs lol.....some fine tuning and I'm back to one bad mutha effin car audio sound system^^

I can't thank you enough for finally providing a Sprint AOSP Rom that doesn't lose activation. This literally has made my week/month/season.....At this point, I'd consider taking a bullet for you, lmao.:good::good:
Hey thanks for making this ROM, it's awesome. I just wanted to let you know that I tried making a phone call from the Google Dialer and it causes a reboot without making the phone call. Is there a fix for this?

I had the same problem when I used the Full Gappps. Try using a GApps that does not replace the native dialer.
Kernel source?
For some reason, I installed this and there was no built in SMS app so I used Google's messenger app and it is unable to send MMS.

Try another version of opengapps like micro version. I installed without gapps and gapps the default SMS app is there.

Yeah, I tried with the pico gapps and it was there, but then I was experiencing intermittent data loss. The only way to get it back for me was to toggle airplane mode, and even then it would stay connected for 5-10 minutes and then lose it again. I will try flashing the update you uploaded today and see if it has issues.
For some reason my previous post did not go through. But Is this Rom able to be used as a base for new roms like regular CM? If so then I forsee a jump in AOSP roms for the sprint m9(like my rom i will be making)
