I can't multitask. Well I can only multitask with a few and that are:
Standard music player
Whatsapp
Hotmail
But with other apps I can't like with the standard webbrowser.
How can I make multitask possible?
Thanks in advance.

Hello, jan2426
Are you tried kinds of multitask apk already ?
For example Smart Task Switcher or Task Switcher or MultiTask Manager or ...
Maybe you can multitask to using more handiness.
However, You have to keep "Free ram space" in mind. Because our device doesn't have enough capacity of ram
So If you open alot of apk, device to be slow and to be unstable and get freeze or be restart sometimes.
Anyway, be careful with multitask

Thanks for your reply.
Although it was not totally what I was searching for.
But I also guess there will be no app for it, its just in the custom rom.
The only thing what I actually want is that he doesn't close the standard browser (shouldn't take that much RAM I guess, of course depends on how many tabs you have open).
This should be more a request for the newer version of the custom ROM in place from a question.

This hurts a bit in my heart though, especially for the big x10's.
I will need to learn to life with.
It isn't a big deal although it would be a bit better if I could multitask.
Atleast still thanks for your response, I know now atleast where I deal with.

Doubtful.
Those apps rely on the Touchwiz framework that comes with Samsung Roms, and so won't work others, like AOSP.
Maybe check out S3 forums, see if anyone was able to port them.

there are always ways to do it.
i was able to run the TW launcher,S voice and a couple other things from the S3 on my nexus.
i personally haven't see it done though. you can always try and throw it in system/app and see if it works.
I have the handwriting keyboard do you think it will work. I'll try and report back.

Mozyman's right, most of this relies on Sammy's TW framework. (Same reason you can't run that stuff on a CM10 GS3). Google "Touchwiz on Asus Transformer." Some work has been done I think to port TW to the ASUS, but you're going to have to run the TW launcher. Pity, because I too love the GS3 Calendar widget and haven't found anything quite like it.
Hello,
I've been on stock kernel/OS since I bought my unbranded I9100 some time ago, that means Gingerbread 2.3.4, I9100XXKI1, Kernel 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKI4-CL575468 (rooted, of course).
I'm thinking about trying CM9 or CM10, just for fun. I think I know pretty well what to expect, but am trying to figure out if there are things I will be missing. As far as I can tell, the following will change significantly:
- Touchwiz launcher replaced, of course. No biggie.
- Swype will be gone, right? I played around with CM way back, and there seemed to be some discussions about how to take Swype with you, but I assume this will be rather hard when going from Gingerbread to JB? Or is there a good way to keep it (without buying it separately)? I like it rather a lot...
- The four hubs (Social Hub etc.) will be gone. Good riddance, as well, I've never used any of them.
- I've not used any of the Samsung remote features (to locate a stolen/lost device; OTA, or KIES), so I guess they will be gone, but I won't miss them.
Is there anything else I've missed that's been added by Samsung? I want to avoid a problem where I don't actually notice anything important missing at first, and then noticing weeks later...
Thank you for your time!
I noticed my camera was missing on one of them.

No tv out. No fm radio. If swype is the keyboard typing style, i dont think thats gone, but i will check.
Camera is still better in stock touchwiz. Also, clear ram from recent apps isnt there.

You could use titanium backup to backup all of your (system) apps. If something (important) turns out to be missing, you can restore it easily. Apart from that, flash it, you won't be disappointed. Good luck with exploring all the possibilities.

Apps only in touchwiz wont work in aosp roms since they are deeply integrated within the touchwiz framework, so no use backup app system apps nor system data. Restoring system data may cause problems ranging from bootloops to force closes.

Alright, the clock. I use that a lot, all of it (alarm + timer + stopwatch). That would be a bummer to loose, I guess there will be some useful replacements on the market though.
There are plenty of camera apps around. Can I safely assume that the picture quality (as it is) will be the same as with the stock camera app? I use the camera for taking pictures, I need no effects, online stuff etc. around photos. In fact I am not that happy with the stock camera, as I find it tough to shoot a photo when I don't see the screen... so I'll be happy to hunt for a camera app that supports some of the hardware buttons for shooting.

Well yes, but I'll have to register/pay for it, or don't I?
Is there a way to see which app is Samsung specific, on the phone itself? Or is basically *any* app that shipped with it either in gapps or by Samsung/Touchwiz?
Thanks a lot, again.

anyone has the same problem?
This is by miles the best ebook app on Android, presentation wise at least. It replicates the sensation of reading a real book rather well. No other ebook readers on Google Play can even hold a candle to Samsung's in-house ebook reader.
we should give out a rewards if anyone make it work without stock ICS ROM or TW. What I meant if running pure ICS ROM (CM9) or JB.
so far it does installs, but always crashes when you tried import.
It is not bad but it is not my preferred reader app. There is no way to disable page flip animations. There is no way to set a default font size. The minimum font size is too large for my liking.

The simple answer is No. You need to use Samsung stock ICS or with Touch Wiz. the book reader needs Samsung's frame work

Technically this is correct and incorrect.
The app itself will work but you need Samsung's MyFiles app to import books into the ebook app, which runs off the TouchWizUX framework.
If somebody could find a way to get MyFiles to work outside TouchWiz, then in theory it should work perfectly.
Thanks for the link, i will try this
Is it even possible to install this on a galaxy s3 non-rooted? And if yes, somebody could explain? Thanks in afvancd

Here is a page describing how to remove the dependencies on TouchWiz: Link
I would try it but I've tried many times to decompile and recompile ICS apps with no success.
My advice to anyone is to get My Files working out of touchwiz, then ebooks would work by default.
This app works on my nexus 7 running non touchwiz framework.tho clicking on import causes it to crash
It's possible to use ebook without touchwizz fw.
Import does not work but if you open the epub file with a file browser, it does not crash.
thank you very much. i am able to install and it is working perfectly well. BTW i am running toldo jellybean rom ics v6
I'm aware that there is currently no Root or TWRP out yet for the US Snapdragon models but is there any way to remove all the crap bloatware that Samsung fills their phones with? I find it extremely annoying that you cant remove any of this stuff. I'm planning on getting an S9+ tomorrow but i'm still on the fence of it due tot he fact that i cant root it nor remove the bloatware. I really like being able to customize everything to my liking as I did with my S4, S6, and S7.

Bloat is VERY easy to remove on this device using a proper package disabler.
I use package Disabler Pro and the PDP plugin app for permissions and I can disable EVERYTHING with it. It costs 2.50 but is well worth it!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ospolice.packagedisablerpremium&hl=en_US
This phone is even more customizable than the S8 / Note 8 series. I love Samsung phones but not the software. However, this version of the Samsung Experience is really good! Lots of tweaks just in the settings apps.
There are a lot of apps that would require root but have similar non root apps. Check out the apps section and see what other people have to say as far as customization. For me, its a great mix of customization, features, and performance.

My understanding from a response a techie gave on the subject is that there really isn't anything gained by deleting them. The O/S has reserved the space on your phone that they are using. Even is you free'd up a bunch of space in that "reserve" by deleting them, that space cannot be used by anything else. The important bit is to prevent them from running and taking up RAM.
You can use ADB shell to remove them. I took off a bunch.. Bixby gone. Samsung Voice thingie gone. Samsung Keybord thingie gone, etc. There's a post here https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...-bloatware-youd-recommend-to-rid-off-t3759500
Besides the stuff in that thread, I used Application Inspector from the Google Play store which will show you the name of something you can uninstall.. for example "com.sec.android.application.name" or something like that.
