1. No you do not need an external sd card.
do the following steps.
1. copy the rom you want to flash to your internal sdcard.
2. reboot into clockwordmod recovery
3. using the up and down volume keys scroll down :
to install a zip from sdcard.
power key to select.
4. scroll down to install zip from internal sdcard. select.
5. scroll to the rom that you have copied to your sdcard, select
6. choose yes and the rom will be flashed to your phone.
7. while flashing if it asks you for any selects makke them.
8. let the phone reboot and you are done.
Can any one help me how to upgrade the OSof Cube U30GT M tablet pc Andriod Ver 4.0.4.
Flash u30gt
My best suggestion would be to go to flashmyandroid, there is a really good cyanogen version JB 4.1 there, with instructions. Before you flash the cwm base, as instructed, If you cannot read your external sd card, as I can't on my u30gt, copy the cyanogen zip to the root of your Internal sd
drive, do not erase the nand as it will wipe out the files, flash the rom in rktools, as instructed, then when you reboot the tablet to the cwm flash utility, clear the Dalvik cache, then browse to the cyanogen zip file in the root of your sd and update the u30gt. This is a really good flavour of 4.1

Hello,
i hope this is the right place to solve my problem. i also post it in the kernel-section because it happend after "set up dual boot". my english is not the best, but i hope you can understand / help me!
What happens
I set up dual boot with SiyahKernel S3 v1.8.9. 1.ROM Omega 38 2. ROM Slimbean. it works fine..
The problem:
After booting anyy ROM i have no access to the 16GB ExtFat ExtSD-Card.Galaxy says the same on every ROM " you have to format your SD-Card its broken" ( something like that )
When i connect the Card via Card-Reader to a PC ( Windows 7) or MAC ( ML ) or LINUX ( Sabayon ) it is also not readable.
BUT when i boot into recovery ( CWM, tried diffrent Vers.) i CAN access the ExtSD-CARD, i could see every Folder an also playing back Backups... or install zip..
When i mount it ( via CWM different versions ), connect the phone via USB to any PC / MAC its still invisible. When i use TWR-Recovery the ExtSD Card is visible but without any folders!
Question:
a) What the hell is going on?
b) Is there any way to access the folders to save the Data?
c) Is there a tool / script to copy the files from the ExtSD to the IntSD via CWM?
Strange....
Its possible to create a backup to the " unreadable ExtSD "... but when i use Aroma Filemanger the ExtSD isnĀ“t mounted... when i use CWM 6.0.2.7 the SD card is in Recovery visible... and mounted but not visible via USB-PC or after boot in ROM
I solved the Problem..
First flash a costum ROM...
1. Flash CWM 5.5.0.4 CF1.5 via Odin
2. Flash Speedmod-Kernel via Odin
3. Power Off Device
4. insert the SD-Card
5. Install SGS3 Toolkit Vers. 7.0 on Windows 7
6. Load Image for my ROM JB 4.1.2
7. Reboot System into Recovery
8. Pull the Files ( Point 11) to PC ( sdcard/DICM/ "for example")
9. after Finish type "y" and pull the next directory
10. and so on...
11.Power off device
12. Put SD-Card in Cardreader plu it to Windows and format the SD-CARD with ExtFat
HAVE FUN....
Hi everybody ,
I need your help to install Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 on my s2 i9100 , now i'm on ics 4.0.3 official .
Read the install instructions on the first page of the thread, follow the instructions. It's not exactly rocket surgery.

Flash philz kernel (choose according to your build number)
Boot into recovery
Select wipe data/factory reset
Select clean to install a new rom
Install rom zip
Install gapps
Reboot
If u get status 7 error then instead of flashing philz ...Flash any siyah/dorimanx kernle for ics.
Good luck.

The method for rooting and flashing CWM
1) Download Odin (http://androidfirmwares.net/Tools)
2) Download root kernel (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1103399)
-- just scroll down and search for ur version (settings>about phone>basis version)
3) Flash it via Odin
-- Extract .zip
-- load the root kernel in Odin (as PDA)
-- Put SGSII in download mode (Vol-, Home and Powerbutton)
-- Press "Start"
4) Phone should reboot by itself
5) Turn it off, then start phone in recovery mode (Vol+, Home and Powerbutton)
6) Check if u have enough space for backup on sd card (to be sure: 2GB)
7) Go to:
-- Backup and restore
-- Backup to internal sd card (for sure u can choose external if have and want it there)
-- confirm it and then let do the phone the backup (can take a while [5-20 min])
method to flash rom
1) Download Rom
2) Put it on internal sd card
3) Go into recovery mode (see above)
4) DO A FULL WIPE!! (U won't loose ur backup on sd card [but u can copy it to PC, too, if u want])
-- wipe data/ factory reset
-- wipe cahe partition
-- advanced > wipe dalvik cache
-- mount and storage > format data/system/cache
5) Then flash Rom via recovery
-- install .zip from sd card > choose .zip from sd card
-- Select the downloaded Custom Rom and flash it
6) Reboot and u r done!
hope this helps
THE PROBLEM: Can't get TWRP to install cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD.
So I am using the SD boot files (flashingb boot, MLO, u-boot, and recovery) with openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.1-acclaim-sdcard.img renamed to altboot.img to try and install cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD and GAPPS (an October version?) to EMMC on my Nook Tablet. So what I've done:
SD Card:
1. Formatted card with SDFormatter
2. Partitioned 500MB space in FAT32, set to primary, set to active. Named partition "BOOT"
3. Put on the 4 SDBoot img files, cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD, AND GAPPS
Installing
1. Used recovery.img (pretty much stock recovery) to wipe cache/factory reset, wipe cache partition, wipe Dalvik.
2. Rebooted and opened altboot (TWRP), selected install >> external SD >> cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD
3. TWRP says it cannot install cm_acclaim_10.2_12NOV2013_HD (bad file). What gives?
I've tried several different zip ROMS, and I've tried reformatting the card several times. I'm stumped. Would really like to get this done and have 10.2 on eMMc. Any tips?
One more important thing, I am not burning the img onto the card with win32diskimager because I didn't think you could "burn" multiple images into one card. So I've been just dragging them in. Still takes me to boot screen, sooooo...........
I guess I am just stuck on how to get TWRP to accurately flash the ROM to eMMC. Should I move the CM10.2 to internal storage and point TWRP there to flash the system?
Is there a reason why that you opted to use TWRP v2.6.3.1?
I'd suggest that you try using CWM v6.0.2.8 (which should be available at http://goo.im/devs/succulent/acclaim/recovery), it's known to work: I used it successfully to flash 10.0 through 10.2 (see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=43326042&postcount=123 for more info).
