I noticed there are several links floating around in the forums. The goal of this thread is to bring them under one roof, and also to prevent ordering cases for the LS970.

Ordering any unconfirmed cases can be a gamble. I really hope to avoid listing incorrectly advertised cases. Unfortunately there is only one way to find out for sure.

I wouldn't count on the Otterbox case. I have emailed CS asking whether it will be compatible with AT&T's E970. No response. They also have a few long outstanding questions about compatibility under Q&A unanswered.
Also, if you look at the pictures, you'll notice that the camera and flash in the image are definitely not E970's/

I assure you, the goal isn't to be misleading. The goal is for new people (or just others browsing the web) to quickly find cases for our phone. We both know how rare they are. Instead of looking through pages of numerous threads, searching for links, why not put them in one place?
I have updated the OP to be a little less misleading.
Well I'm going to be purchasing this phone in the near future and I think the thread is helpful. I like the idea of some one stop shopping for a case and it would be great to see some pics and reviews from those who have purchased a case.

silicon cases for LS970 fit E970
hi all-
FYI, flexible soft 'jelly' silicone cases (NOT hard TPU plastic) for the LS970 do fit the E970 just barely. I received a case from an eBay seller, Casewear today which turned out to be an LS970 case. The E970 must be just slightly thicker but with a little stretching the shell conforms to the E970 frame well-enough for daily use, and all the cutouts for the camera, speaker and other ports are fine too.

New links added for the TPU cases (Still not confirmed, mine should arrive very soon). It does look very promising from the pictures though. Also, I received an e-mail from Luxuary Cell Wireless. He confirms that the silicone cases are 100% for the AT&T E970 model.
Dude, I bought the 7$ bundle on the jelly case/ black...for sprint, could have dealt with the camera area but it was too narrow, even tried stretching the $%#$% out of it, oh well..got a Zagg today, fits good, miss that ultra smooth glass feel though.

Just got my TPU case from Cellularzones. It fits perfectly. The power button and volume rocker are covered but very easy to push. You can kinda see the notification light. I got the black/smoke version so it may be more noticeable with the clear version.

PDAir are now offering a flip-type black leather case ... 1st I've found.
Probably not the highest of looks - I prefer Covertec myself - but cheap enough (USD$28) and will have to do until the real thing comes along (I always wanted to say that )
I just got my o2 o2(o2 orbit2) yesterday, it fits krusell Orbit Case for HTC3300 perfectly - except the hole on the back doesnt fit camera :-( but anyway i didnt buy it to use it as regular camera. So far i'm happy.

I've been un touch with Krusell , They don't have a case for the HTC Polaris ,

I've been very happy with my previous Piel Frama case for HTC Touch
and I'm a bit quite disappointed by my Boxwave case (except a very good price for a general good quality)

I ordered that exact pen from amazon last week. It just arrived yesterday. It's legit.
But keep in mind: This pen comes with no AAAA battery (luckily I bought a 2pack the day before they arrived)
It comes with no box... just wrapped in bubble wrap. (I bought my wife a tripod along with this order and it was just thrown in the box as pictured.)
I've been playing around with it, and it's been working nice and smooth. Definitely worth it.

Just received via USPS mail the Scribe pen that I ordered on Nov 24th. (note: Big thanks to GODZSON for the heads up on this deal!) Shipped in a bubble pack mailer envelope and wrapped in a bubble pack and plastic baggie. Just tested it on my EVO View, works fine so far. Although the ad states it includes a AAAA battery, it does not.
Aesthetically I like this black colored pen over the silver one from bestbuy. Sprint stores charges $49.99 for the same pen.

Do we have any confirmation that the International Version and the AT&T LTE Version are in anyway different? Mic Placement, Etc?

From what I understand, device dimensions are the same, but no one has yet been able to say whether or not MIC placement is identical.
From the pics i have seen the Mic looks like it is in the same place but not sure about the 3 mm jack

Edit: just compared two back shot pictures of the note. One international and one AT&T. The 3.5mm jack is in the same position.
i ordered an aluminum bumper from ebay. it should be here soon. ill update everyone when i get my note!
for aluminum bumpers, i dont see a problem with mic placement. or the 3mm jack. you can just mod them easily.
anyway, speck a couple of cases out. i have used the candyshells on my iphone for about 2 years now and have dropped it about a billion times. the phone is in good condition still so they work good!

Thanks...I see your case shows the AT&T Version with the capacitive buttons....guess that means your case should fit like a glove. I went ahead and ordered the white one figuring that if I didn't like it...i'd only be out 8 bucks.
On another note...(no pun intended).. I currently have an IPhone 4s and use a Credit card case like the one in the attached images... Since I've been an Iphone user since the very first one, I'm having difficulty finding decent cases for other phones (IE...Note).
Are there any cases like this out there for the Note?

What are the holes on the bottom right of the phone? It is located on the backside of the phone directly across the speaker phone. I see some cases for the N7000 having the slots opened for it and some just covers it. Also most pictures of the International Galaxy Note does not have the holes there.. is this ATT only?

I always used Elago with my iPhone 4. They're not the best at protection, but they're the thinnest short of a decal skin. For me, that's the most important thing on a big phone.
I bought the white, because I have the white note, but maybe I'll buy another color too later, or return the white. Hope it's not that tight, like the Amazon reviewer implies, but I don't plan on removing it ever.

And finally, does the Gloss and S-Line cases both feel about the same?

Here is mine. Just received it today. It's a G4-slim fit. It's a hard case that is super thin and has a rubbery non -slip feel to it.

just got an email back today from tpu cases that they are going to be molding there cases as soon as the get 100% confirmation of the mic placement and the international version is thicker than the AT&T note but they will be coming soon

We are making a case for it, we just wanted to be sure that the AT&T version was the same as the International version. I'm glad we waited as it turns out the AT&T version is slightly thinner. I'm still waiting on confirmation of the mic placements as well, AT&T has been known to move them on previous phones. As soon as we have a 100% confirmation of the design of the phone we will start making our mold.

Errr lol....I predicted all along that basically all intl Note accessories should work with at&t version.
But if the info from them is accurate, then looks like the opposite.
I'm also counting on those various HK and Singapore vendors to quickly release TPU cases for at&t Note.
I only have used TPU cases for the last several phones I had....best combination of thinness, and the dust repellant element.
I hope its not true just received my tpu case I paid 5 bucks for. Looks great hopefully it works. We will see on the 19th. They don't even have a phone to verify the thickness. So how can they be sure?

I'm just glad the $30 case I ordered was advertised for the i717 . . . sending it back if it doesn't fit!!
Rearth is selling theirs as i717 specific and the cases look identical (mic placement). They have pictures up of the case on the i717 but I wouldn't be surprised if they're photoshops.

Rearth just emailed me back and said they designerd their i717 cases with a unit in hand. Assuming that's true that means mic placement is the same as N7000 based on these pictures.
I went to best buy yesterday and an employee gave me a note model to check if my case would work. It does. mic placement is the same.

I did not think the dimensions of the two models would be different enough that they were not be interchangeable on the cases. Thanks of the update!

I meant best overall case i've ever used. Im including the 10$, 25$, and even the 35$+ ive spent on cases.
It's super light, it's durable, doesnt scratch easily, the material is flexible yet super tough, and it protects the entire side/back of the phone. Use a decent screen protector, and chances of your phone ever getting knicked/scratched are pretty slim to none.

These US sellers really make killing profits on this. These case are OEM case, real cost is like $2 or less. They import them in large quantity to US and sell for $16+

You have the right to your own opinion and you have the right to do whatever you want with your money, if you're happy to spend that much, then good for you.
But I also have my own opinion and here it is..
You know what, the real cost for this is actually in the range of 10-20cents.
US sellers (most of them are individuals working from their garage) import them in bulk, with import taxes and shipping cost, there's no way it will be more than $1 for each case.
If these US sellers sell the case for $10 (that's 900% profit) or less I won't mind buying from them. But selling it for $16+ and saying MSRP for this is $30+ is just pure greed.
I'm all in for supporting US economy, if these cases are made in US and selling for whatever price, I wouldn't think much before buying from them.
Oh, btw, another bad news for you, about 90% of the price you pay for your new Galaxy Note goes to South Korea.

Pretty much the same one is $3.78 with free shipping on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/271867174414 That's the one I'm using and it works ok...they now also have hard plastic ones on ebay for $2.59 [ http://www.ebay.com/itm/31136984068...49&var=610459552705&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT ] but they are non transparent colors. I went with a matte black.
This is what I got, I don't like the snap on ones because they don't protect as much if it falls.

I'll have to answer this after I get back from vacation as that case and another are sitting at home..delivered while I was gone. I'm currently using the clear tpu case.
They're exactly like the Incipio Feather cases. Actually not bad for $3 shipped. A little bit of a sharp edge on the bottom of mine, but the cutouts are perfect. Fit is snug.

official transparent case now available - but I didn't like it
The official transparent case became available directly from Alcatel's own web store about a week or 10 days ago.
I ordered one, got it in, but I didn't like it.
It fits well. Seems well made. But two problems.
One - it's really shiny, slick, makes the phone really easy to slip out of my hand.
Two - the parts of the case that wrap around the sides are absolutely flush with the front, they don't stick out at all past the front, which is nice unless you put the phone face down: they don't provide for any clearance between the glass and the surface where you've set it down.
I'm going to send this case back.
