[Q] How to know which lib is related to an app? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm trying to port an app made for an other phone.
How to know which files in lib folder I must use?
Is there a place in the apk where the shared libs are mentioned?
Or inside de .so?
Thanks for your help

You are talking about native libraries now? There's a GNU utility "readelf" dumping various interesting information related to an ELF binary such as used libraries.

I'm talking about the files with .so extensions who are in system\lib

Yes, dynamically linked native libraries, that is. Use the readelf utility.

You'll find it in elfutils, part of just about every GNU/Linux distribution.

Targeting GNU/Linux, not using GNU/Linux, is just plain stupid. Like repairing your Chrysler using all the special tools from Toyota. :silly:

the simplest way is unlock bootloader and flash custom kernel...
I can't unlock my bootloader ...

Follow the thread we link, it's easy
I can't because in France when someone buy a phone in a operator, the operator block the bootloader and I would not use wotan server.

Trust me if there is any easier way it is already have been posted. It is either root your device using that method for locked bootloader or forget about it. Get over this topic and stop spamming this thread.

If you're rooted it's in system/media/audio/ui/PowerOn.ogg
There's a method of getting rid of it in the toolkit too but it's easier to install ES File Explorer and remove it yourself.

First, I introduce me to you, I'm glad to be registered here cause you make very good job for phones users. I heard talk about you on galaxys2.fr.
So, for the first time, I flash and root my GS2, now I run with 7comp which looks to be sympathic, but yesterday, I made first walk in settings, I don't think I made troubles, but since this time, I can't receive my SFR signal. I tried to find where can be the problem, nothing! Somebody could help me please?
Thanks a lot!

Welcome, buddy.
First time that I heard about "7comp" but looks cool, too...
I would recommend to flash another kernel. (please check which version u are and what is compatible to this (with Mali driver or not etc))
Over this have a look in issues list, if it isn't reported yet. (http://code.google.com/p/samsung-gs2-7comp-rom/issues/list)
Much success
CHEERS

the kernel is more off related to wifi ma8, since ur not able to recive ur SFR signal is due to an in-compatable Modem/baseband, which u have to change and see, link below for the same.
they r CWM flashable zip files that can be flashed thro recovery just like a custom rom, try a cpl of them and see which one will give u better signal
Modem Collection
Ok. Thanks. But what i don t understand ils that sfr signal was received correctly before few jours. And lost without changing anything in connexion settings... should i just reflash 7comp rom?

try a different modem from the link first and see, if still issue persists then reflash the rom and see
I think there s no compatible modem in thé liste. I m on lpw. Before i was on lq6. But 7comp flash turned phone on lpw. Si, maybe i ll fond one for lpw on Google.

there is no need for any compatability with ur exsisting one ma8, just try XXLPS or XXLPX and see
also install 'Getrill' app from stores and match the RIL with ur baseband/modem and then check for signal issue
Really sorry. I m not expert. Lol. What s ma8?

Because i have the android version i9300XXELLA on a S3 32go and i'd like to change for a non blocked bootloader as XXEMB5 or XXEMC2 ... is it possible without a pc with mobile odin please ?

no

No pc, no bootloader flash ...

Mobile Odin has some limitations compared to Odin as it runs inside android. It can only access partitions that are visible from android, and bootloader is not one of those.
That's why you must use Odin.
Thank you very much for your answer ...

This on the other hand means if i flash a Stock-FW (for example XXEMC2) with Mobile Odin but have an older bootloader (from XXDLIH FW): I will have the new Kernel etc. (with SD-Fix) but remain on my good old bootloader???
yes. there's no official confirmation whether or not the bootloader or kernel contains the fix

That was not the question, but thanks
And if i interpret the "yes" right it means i can flash the new stockrom with Mobile Odin and it wont change my bootloader.... *happy*

could anyone help me on building kernel form source ?

as i'm a noobie, i'm trying to build a kernel for my SM-p350,
i follwo the goole and samsung source code instrucction,
download the right version of toolchain and also source code.
for the first practice , not chage any deconfig,
set environment and make , kernel zImage is successfully compiled.
then pack it with Android Image Kitchen, flash it in odin,
but stuck is warrany bit error after reboot.
my tab is rooted and install TWRP.
try several times without move.
finally only can falsh back to stock kernel.

right , i extract stock kernel form stock rom, then unpack it,
replace its zimage with my new compiled one, repack it.
Try to flash supersu right after flashing your kernel. If not working ask help to ashyx. He made a kernel for this tab.
