Hi,
I am running HyDrOG3N rom, I enabled keys backlight when screen is on and it worked, but once I lock my screen and unlock it again, it stops working and doesn't turn on until I re-adjust brightness or enable/disable it.
Is is something to do with the settings or a rom bug?

I don't know why your search button is broken but after I did it for you, yes bug. A thousand posts about it.

Sometimes i have problems with the proximity sensor in call. The proximity sensor isn't quick and i click accidentally some buttons that breaks the call. I would have an app that block the screen immediately after the calling start, and when i leave the ear from the screen the screen is still blocked. Is there? Is there also a feature in such roms for that? I use now the resurrection rom, but i have used also cm and oxygen, and i have had the same problem. Thanks

guys please help me, i have a serious problem.
i had a LIB(criskelo14) based rom with domination v1.3.4 and everything was super smooth. yesterday installed a LJ4 based rom(criskelo 18) and then domination v1.4 . after installing this amazing theme my proximity sensor is always on and i have too much battery drain.
i wiped my device and with a fresh install every thing returned to normal.but after restoring my apps problem is back. i have deleted many apps that may caused this prob but nothing is fixed.
i attached a list of my apps.about 340 apps.
please guide me what should i do?i don't want to loose my apps.
please take a look at list of my installed apps
I think its viber.
Uninstall it and look at your sensor.
If so the last update for viber fix the problem with the proximity sensor.
You need v2.2.3.109 instead v2.2.3.108.

don't know how can i thank you.
maybe in future,i hope so.
I have been reading in many threads in the Xperia Sola/P/U sub forum that one should turn off auto rotation to save battery if that feature is not being used.
I used to do that. Until yesterday evening while playing Temple Run, when a doubt came to my mind.
Since auto rotation is turned off. But the guy in the TR2 picks up movement from tilting the phone also. Which means the gyroscope (on whatever device that is used to measure angular movements) must be running even after auto rotation is turned off..
So if gyroscope is still on, is there any actual battery saving?

What is the yes for??? :sly:
Does gyroscope still run in background?

Yes is for Turing it off disable sensors and it saves battery
Sent from my Xperia U using Tapatalk 2
By turing off auto rotation means
Screen will not rotate while in normal apps, gallery, brpwser etc
It doest mean it will completely turn ur senor off...
Games require gyroscope so it will run while playing

That will turn off sensor for screen rotation but not for games.
But if you arent playing game and you have autorot turned off you are saving battery
Ps sorry for my bad english

If Auto Rotation off disables sensors, how are games still able to sense movement.
If auto rotation off does not disable sensor, how is battery being saved?

Games are exceptions tell me rotation of ui is more frequent or playing of games use common sense and if you don't believe thn observe it

It does disable the sensor, but when you install some apps (games in paticular that use the gyroscope and stuff) they have the permission to turn it on, but outside of that app it will be off. Very simple actually

Turning off autorotate will not save your battery.
Also factor in the negligible savings from cpu not polling sensors, or processing animation for rotation.
It will NOT save your battery at all...

See my previous post. However small, a saving is a saving.

I know. Just wanted to point out that your previous post was factually incorrect. The quoted one is true tho.

So I have the Verizon S4 with latest Hyper Drive ROM. Do any other Hyper users have issues with the Prox sensor? When I pull my phone away during a call, nothing.
I have done a lot of searching here and tried the multiple fixes but most say they only work with stock.
Before I revert back to stock to check my hardware wanted to see if anyone will have issues.

Same thing here need to go back to stock to check too. I wake it up withe the power button

Have you tried cleaning your proximity sensor? I've read that dust/dirt will cover it, using compressed air may clean it out.

YUP, tried with a can of air. My S4 is really a couple months old. I think it has to do with the configuration. Again, I've tried the suggested fixes listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2045569&page=2
Now I'm wondering if I can acutally change the specific files inside the /Proximity_Sensor folder. There are raw_data, state, prox_avg, threshold high/low files ect.... Can anyone provide the values of those certian files? And how to modify those?? You can see the values in a file explorer. Maybe thats the key.
Mine are:
Thres_high 60,45
Thres_low 60/45
raw_data 67
state 67
prox_avg 0,0,0
THANKS!!!
