Sometimes i have problems with the proximity sensor in call. The proximity sensor isn't quick and i click accidentally some buttons that breaks the call. I would have an app that block the screen immediately after the calling start, and when i leave the ear from the screen the screen is still blocked. Is there? Is there also a feature in such roms for that? I use now the resurrection rom, but i have used also cm and oxygen, and i have had the same problem. Thanks

My phones notifications have spontaneously stopped working. Was working tonight and today it isn't.
It no longer vibrates for all notifications including sms, email, Whatsapp, facebook etc. Vibration for calls and haptic feedback work fine.
I am using the stock rom. Tried jiggling all settings and many soft resets to no avail.
Any ideas? Please help!

Make sure once again that Vibration set to 'Always' under Sound - Settings.
Yes that was the first thing I tried haha

And you made sure that under Email app it is also set to Always?
Yes that and every single app that creates notifications. As I said this problem spontaneously manifested itself. It literally appeared overnight when everything had been fine and dandy before which is why I am so stumped.

Help! anyone else any ideas?

Well certainly the last option is to do a Factory Reset, what else could it be anyway? Make sure to Back up stuffs before

Hi,
I am running HyDrOG3N rom, I enabled keys backlight when screen is on and it worked, but once I lock my screen and unlock it again, it stops working and doesn't turn on until I re-adjust brightness or enable/disable it.
Is is something to do with the settings or a rom bug?

I asked on the ROM topic but no one replied, actually it got fixed by itself, I found it working suddenly.

Ok I have an issue that seems intermittent but is annoying and drains the battery. Sometimes after receiving a text the screen will stay on and not dim down, this would not be such an issue if the text was read straight away, but if I have not heard it or been busy this becomes an issue. The only way to then get the screen to work properly, is to reboot the phone. Anyone else had this issue, if so have you found a fix. The handset is a 3uk branded handset.
you have smart stay on?

Maybe it is a rom problem??

If u enabled smart stay and your ceiling lighting is directed to your phone, it will stay awake. Its not a bug just that smart stay "thinks" that you are watching it

Nope smart stay is off it was on but knocked it off a week or so ago, and now this issue has started. The phone is not rooted
What's your screen timeout set as?
Like, if you're reading a web page how long would the screen stay on if you didn't touch it?
Settings - display - screen timeout
Why don't you clear cache for messages app and badgeprovider app from application manager. Maybe they're stuck in some way.

Both caches were clear
Do you have Samsung's DriveLink app installed? There was a problem with that that caused the screen to stay on.
My phone keeps (seemingly randomly) performing a very short vibration when using it. I've checked logcat but can't see anything obvious that's causing it.
I don't have haptic feedback on, no accessibility options enabled and no keyboard input vibrations. I've also turned off smart alert.
Its stock, rooted and I've frozen/removed most of the bloatware.
Any ideas?

Maybe you are using the leaked JB 4.2 stock ROM?

"I've also turned off smart alert"
Thanks, but it isn't on (see above).
Does anyone have any real suggestions of what's going on?
I'm wondering if there is some kind of background error vibration that occurs?
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
I know this is a long route to take, but uninstall all your apps, or as many as you can, and see if this still happens, I suspect an app is causing this,I had similar on S1, and I'm sure it came down to a rogue app
I've found similar (maybe connected) issue. When I receive for example the text message the screen remains turned-off, however when I touch it, it shortly vibrates once. When I turn the screen on it is still at the pattern locker. Not annoying but strange behaviour.
