I'm looking for a way to disable the quick panel. I need to run some screen touch tests and do not want airplane mode and other settings being changed during the testing.
i know for other devices I can use QuickPanel Settings, but I havent seen anything for the Note2 yet.
What are my options? I'm in the process of rooting my Note2.
TIA

I think he might have meant the toggles at the top of the shade. If that's the case, not yet, but they're working on mods to modify elements such as those.
And I got all excited when I saw the topic count increase thinking maybe our first rom finally came out. Booo... :-/

Hello.
How do I remove/disable lock screen on GB 2.3.5?
On Atrix 4G there is a database entry that we could use, but it's strictly for motorola phones, now I'm using LG Nitro HD and can't find anything related.
Thank you.
P.S.
posting this question here, because we don't have many developers at Nitro's section..yet.

That app and so far all other of same type enables wake on volume keys - it's not acceptable.
I'd rather do it manually if I can.
Any more suggestions?
Thanks.
Well, I don't know more apps that disables lockscreen, I have Jkay app on SGS2 and in menu I can disable lockscreen, so maybe you use search and maybe find if your phone is supported by JKay.

Simple guide would be nice.
Upgraded to ICS today, the bottom right button doesnt bring up settings, it brings up a bar at the top which I don't like and can't change, the slider from lock screen changed to a camera when i often used it to turn silent on/off
it updated my facebook to the new slower/clunkier version
the text messaging is differnent
etc etc
I do no like this update and would like to revert to Gingerbread, has anyone done it and how do i do it?
I'm a noob too.

[PORT][ROM][ICS/Jelly Bean mod]JellyBlast V3.0.5 [OTA5]
I really wanted to post this to the forum above, but dont have enough forum posts, is there anyway to disable lockscreens altogether?????? I would like to use the Holo lockscreen or WP7 but they seem to have issues overiding the lockscreens already on the Jellybean ROM.
Thanks for updating the message colours, ROM much appreciated

"The forum above" would be the wrong place to post this (how is it related to development? => It's not). This is the correct place.
AFAIK, there's no way to do what you want to do (disable the stock lockscreen and it only). Might want to make sure your alternate lockscreens always have enough memory, or else they'll be killed and won't be able to override the default lockscreen.
Yes there is a way to do it
Open your notification panel and go to extreme right
There you will see a toggle showing lock icon
Disabled it by clicking on it and voila
Well, next time
Ask your questions on Q&A section.

For me, it does
Hi all. Just got my One yesterday. Wondering if anyone has created a mod that when long-pressing home button, will offer a list of currently running apps, task manager, etc? For anyone that has used a TouchWiz Rom, you are probably familiar, although I don't know if it is exclusive to TW's or not. Anyone?

1. Wrong section. This is development, not Q&A.
2. Just double tap the home button to get the multi task function.

Thanks - that was too easy. :silly: FWIW, I posted it here because I (stupidly) thought it would need a mod to happen.... Hey - it's early (although really late in LA)!
Moved as it does not belong in the Development Section....
Anyone find a way to disable the buttons yet? I found two downloads a few weeks ago, but foolishly deleted them. So now I have LQS2.8 running with them disabled, but can't upgrade to another rom.

This links DL's do not work, it disabled my power button.

I have seen this ability in Hyper rom, Jelly Beans, and Clean rom. In hyper rom It's under system settings -> my device -> display -> touch key light duration (under more settings section) -> and finally select "always off"
If this is helpful please say thanks! :good:

Are you running a Galaxy S2?
If so, this is not the right thread.
If not, take a look inside some of the original android dev section of the forum and check out some of the ROMs in there. Most or all that I have seen allow you to reprogram or turn off them pesky buttons and use the on screen navbar...
Do a little research, you might be impressed with your effort...
Or you can always Google it on Bing...!
This is a modified sec_touchkey.kl file. This will disable the back and menu capacitive buttons, while not changing the behavior of the home button. Push this file to /system/usr/keylayout.
If you want to use the on-screen softkeys, add "qemu.hw.mainkeys=0" to the end of your build.prop file located in /system.
