Can someone of you senior members describe me how to flash custom kernel via Flashtool 0.6.5.
I try to put kernel .ftf file in Flashtool/devices/x10/kernel but Flashtool can't see it. Just see another kernel, which is there by default (modfxp.doomkernel.v.0.6 for locked bootloader). Then I try to put in firmwares folder, and when I pressed flash (lightning) button small window appear with my kernel file, and some other file (bootlock or something like that). I pick my kernel and Flashtool start to flash something. After I was told to disconnect, press back, and connect again usb (flashmode), phone start to boot with new bootimage (DoomLord one), and then turn off, and battery showed like on charging. I wait a little bit, disconnect from usb, and try to turn on phone, but phone stuck with doomkernel image.
I flashed back to stock with SEUS, root, and unlock bootloader again.
Can someone tell me what went wrong, and how to flash custome kernel???

Sure, here's (mirror) a small tutorial on how to do this. Just skip the part with rooting Your phone (if You already have root) and continue with unlocking. Please don't forget about DOWNGRADING
I have a xperia neo v rooted. i installed a new font fron Font Installer. after installing the font it asked for a reboot. but as it switched off it went into a boot loop. the phone is not going further the Sony Ericsson screen.
Plz help me.....
First question do you have CWM recovery installed and if you do then did you create a nandroid backup before install new font?
if not then you will have to flash your software again using flashtool.
in the future make sure do a nandroid backup before doing anything that changes system files.
Steps to download Flashtool:
visit: androxyde.github.com/Flashtool/[/url]
Steps to flash with Flashtool
1) Download the firmware you want to flash
2) Put it into the firmware folder in the C:/flashtool folder (or wherever you put the flashtool folder.
3) Run flashtool and click on the lighting symbol (flash button)
4) Select flashmode
5) The firmware folder will open, select the firmware you want
6) Follow on screen instructions to put phone into flashmode
7) when phone is conected in flashmode flashtool will start flashing the software
8) when it is finished disconect phone and if you got the correct firmware it should boot and all will be good.
This tutorial will guide you through all the steps required to install CyanogenMod 9.0, which is based over Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3/4.0.4 on your Xperia 2011 device. Please see that your device needs to be Bootloader unlocked for this to work.
P.S. - Please note that these instructions are only meant for reference purpose. In case you are coming from another ROM and already have a custom Recovery on your phone, then it’s mandatory to Wipe all data before flashing this ROM.
I will not be responsible if you brick your device by following the procedure given below. Proceed with caution!

mate at least go some research before making tutorials. CM9 recommends baseband .72 they even uploaded small .ftf file on FXP's server for easy download.
altho, .64 baseband will work. i am not specialist to know whats different between .72 and .64

No, it just stays black. I only notice a slight vibration when turning on but nothing comes up. Holding the volume button for CWM doesn't work also. Tried the kernel multiple times.

The one in the official CM 9.0 RC1 .zip. I don't know which one it is, it just says boot.img. Stock CM 9 kernel i'd say.

Sit down, take a deep breath, open google.com and ask it questions. You will be amazed what you can learn there. Some links will even bring you here, where all these have been explained, some time ago.
when i flashed the ice cream purness rom but i didnt wipe the data and the cache what happend that when i reboot the phone it stays on the sony logo i tried downloading the fastboot and using it but it tells me that my device isnt rooted and i already installed a custom rom !!
please help
To use custom kernels you need to have unkocked bootloader, which in this case is what fastboot is calling root.
first of all forger about pureness and flash a ftf rom (using flashtool)
then unlock ur bootloader (you can find how to in dev section)
flash alliance kernel (look it up in dev section) into the device (flashtool again)
now u can install it as it says in pureness thread by cwm

This means that now you have to disconnect your phone from the usb cable!
Try pc companion or SEUS.
(SEUS is better).
Although flash tool is best.
AND NEXT TIME FOLLOW THE GUIDE
also try with flashtool the latest version and try flashing other stock rom like gingerbread?

Binary's method wont work wid new ics fw

2 ways to do it depending if you have unlocked your bootloader
1. locked bootloader (will wipe data)
download sony pc software
click update
plug usb into phone holding volume down (flashmode) led will go green
click repair
allow to finish phone will be stock ics
2. unlocked bootloader
go to go dev forum
find munjenis ics thread
download his boot .img
download flashtool
plug phone in pressing volume up( fastboot)
use flash tool to flash new boot img
reboot phone
this will install custom recovery (allowing you to install custom rom)
still no simple way to root fw 54?
