Hello to all,
Besides the Android Keyboard, the Optimus G came with an LG keyboard that was very similar to swype. After changing back and forward from the LG keyboard and the stock android keyboard, I decided to give a try in my new Optimus G to the Swype Beta that is free and doesn't have a time limit or any advertising/spamming adware.
Long story short, I find the Swype Keyboard the best and most accurate for me in the Optimus G.
Try it, and let me know if you consider another keyboard better for the Optimus G.

Hope it helps.

I use Thumb Keyboard on all my devices. I love the themes and the Pinned Text option. It lets you save text and input it with two taps (great for emails).

I love Swiftkey too, if only they would add the saved/pinned text feature. I would be all over it.
Swype beta FTW ... I've tried to stop using it several times (because of their PITA install/update process) but I always come back.
Edit: the now testing the new SwiftKey Flow.

Definitely gonna have to vote Swiftkey 3!
Check out Swiftkey Flow beta. It just came out.

I currently using the SwiftKey Flow beta and it's pretty good. I could use the 4.2 keyboard if someone posts a link. Give that a try on this.

Holy crap dude, this SwiftKey Flow is pretty awesome! I'm coming from swype so am used to this dynamic. They've just done it better!

The flow through space part needs some work, but swiftkey word prediction is definitely second to none.

Out of curiosity, did you notice in settings you can change the flow thru space behavior? Maybe that will help you out?

Hello everyone I'm a proud owner of a EVO 3D coming from a Nexus S 4G and boy the only thing I miss is the keyboard...
Anyone know how I can get the stock Gingerbread from Google?
And yes I know I can find copies or similar on the market but I want the original.
Thanks to anyone for taking your time to read this.

The plus version of the above linked app lets you set custom key heights, so you can make the keyboard as tall as you want. Give it a shot in the first 15 minutes to see if its worth your washington.
EDIT: It looks smaller because its made for WVGA phones, not qHD, which is 160 pixels taller, so the keyboards much shorter in comparison to the relative height it would have be the original EVO.
That's what I assumed. Is the Droid X 2 qhd?
Edit: Yes, it is qhd. If I remember right, I kinda liked the multi touch keyboard that was ported from the original Droid X. I'll see what I can find

The better keyboard believe or not works better than the stock I would recommend trying it out I never use to like it but they made alot of improvement
sent from my HTC EVO 3d
The one from the Market is the same size. The reason it seems smaller is because the 3D is qHD resolution (960x540) vs the Nexus S 4G @ 840x480.
Thanks everyone I now have been playing with the on you guys recommended me and its way better than stock or swipe...
Again thanks

But its not working on my S3

Has anyone had any issues with Swiftkey not remembering words?
I have been using it since Saturday and none of the words or word orders that I am using seem to be remembered. I have a strange email address that was always remembered on my EVO but not on the Galaxy. I love Swiftkey but if it won't learn, it's useless. Could I be doing something wrong?
Maybe a wrong version?
Thanks!
Have you gone into the settings to have it learn your texting and messaging habits. Ive found occasionally you have to go in and manually have it scan your data to learn your habits.

Do a fresh install after copying your SwiftKey folder to another location. Just paste it back later if you want. That should fix any issues.

I believe this is not the goal of the keyboard. The screen size you save using this keyboard is fantastic! I know I can write faster with Swiftkey or with Swype Dragon but that doesn't matter.
For our devices the screen is not a issue, but not everybody has a huge screen like us.
Why are they selling minuum more than Swiftkey or even Swype as a matter of fact. I was planning to also buy Minuum but not sure now.
