Hi,
Your link goes to the main page on the forum. Also, this section attracts the focus of people using the Samsung Galaxy S II I9100, so you might be better off posting in the forum for your phone which, I think, is this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1281
Also, if you can find the original thread for the mod you installed, you might be able to ask there for help; hopefully even if it isn't a mod for your phone you won't get flamed to badly (lots of jerks here when you make a mistake) and someone with some experience can take a look at what's in the mod and at least point you toward which files you need to put back to original on the phone, assuming it was indeed a mod from the wrong section.

i'm having the same issue too, there isn't a clear answer in the development page for the US version yp-g1 from what i can see. a link to this information would be appreciated.
Hi everyone,
Tonight my YP-G1 (USA Player 4.0) went into infinite boot logo loops.
Luckily I can still access Clockworkmod Recovery.
I agree it's not clear how we can fix our devices (I am a total newbie!).
I found what *might* be the USA ROM here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1412875
However no one has confirmed it's good and that it will actually work. I'm afraid to do anything, and not sure what I'm doing or what my options are. This is my first Android device and I only had it for a few days.
Please, someone help us newbies with some good instructions.
I am so nervous right now.

[Q] I NEED HELP Root Galaxy SIII

Hi guys my dad just bought me a phone and I've been researching and it appears to be a fake. It's model number is is still gt i9300. I saw a previous thread and someone had the exact same one and only he was able to root and get it to the actual stock rom of the real gs3. There must be a way to do this but I need someone to give me a link to a specific tutorial to do this. Someone please reply and and tell me what I can do. I'm still a noon at this stuff so try to explain everything in depth.. Thanks!
Wrong section dude. As you say its a fake, i don't know if even on the Q&A section you will get an answer, but try posting there.

If the hardware is different then your more liable to brick your device, i'm afraid youre going to get very little help if thats the case.
Also, this is the development section, you don't ask questions in it.

Few noob questions and wonderings

Hey there i got few questions i got Samsung Galaxy S II and i just noticed it has custom rom Omega 2.3 or or something like that(got that phone from my friend) and my qestions are how can i get back standard samsung rom? I dont really see any profits from that rom on my device and i think it would be better to get back Old one original since i heard that s2 gonna have update to 4.2 at the end of june .I dont really know how to work with custom roms so i would really like to get back original one can someone tell me how to get old one? I dont have acces to computer and i hope i can restore it somehow from options in mu phone please help .

This is the thread for going back to stock, but I don't know if it works without a Pc. Maybe mobile odin is a possibility. Search for it, if it hasn't been asked jet then go ahead and ask.
Verstuurd van mijn GT-I9100
Omg no idea how to handle that topic so another question am i gonna be able to update my phone to 4.2.2 when its gonna be released with custom rom via settings-> check for updates? If not guess im gonna go to some service saloon to recover old stock :/
Mobile Odin.

Want me to explain?
Ok, it'll flash any stock ROM you want by itself, no pc needed, only root.
More info? Search for it, watch a vid or something.

If that would be so easy for me i wouldnt bother myself with creating a thread here . I dont know what is flash and as far as i know i need some files to do that and i have to put them in some directory internal/external sd. I cant go to yotube cause my data plan doesnt count yt as free website so its charging me for streaming .So if someone care to help i would apreciate (browsing tons of threads with phone is painfull) so if you can help post me a guide if not dont bother to use reply button .
That's all good & well, but this is how everyone here learns stuff. If you're not prepared to learn, leave your phone stock lest you break it (I can almost guarantee if someone regurgitates 10 steps for you & you don't understand the why & how, you will have an expensive 'accident').
Or you could take the time to read the guides & stickies and learn.
You also need to lose the sense of entitlement. Nobody here owes you anything/XDA isn't like your carrier you paid money to for a certain level of 'service' (You're on ignore now, so I won't be reading any response to this).
Edit - Messing with your phone without access to a PC & not being prepared to learn a few things probably doubles your chance of turning your phone into a 116 gram plastic paperweight.

Hello all Need an expert

Hey guys I successfully rooted my sprint samsung galaxy 5. Works flawlessly. Now on to my girlfriend sprint mega. I've done my googling and looking at previously posted threads but its so much to take in I just confuse myself. Can some one who has already achieved this answer a few questions for me. I'm sure its been spammed here a 100 times just looking for anybody with the patients and or knowledge to help me out with a few things.
#1. Is there any mods that unlock the hotspot like there are for the galaxy s5?
#2. Could I possibly get a link to the best/most popular mod for the this device with #1 included
Its easier to narrow down the correct rooting tutorial. Its just having the confidence of finding the right mod and applying it. Do I need to flash a custom kernel or do the mods for this phone have them included.
Like I said any help is much appreciated. I'll patiently await your replies! :good:

None that I know of. When I try the Toggle it tells me it's unsupported. May need to have some things added and changed to make it work. You can always try an aftermarket app. Seeing that I do not have service on this phone and use it for modding purposes only.

Not much being done for the Sprint L600 unfortunately. Unless you can do it yourself, you can try porting the roms from the other Mega's but it's very likely you will loose your radio afterwards.
Look for the 4-way reboot menu, just search my forum name for the post. You can also do a couple of CSC edits in the feature.xml file located in the CSC folder to get a couple of things like the camera shutter sound menu and the call button in list in your contacts. There are a couple more mods to come like a working flashlight toggle and am buttoning up porting the S5 Launcher for the L600 with Theme Chooser included.

Rooting could not be more simple for this device. Just download PhilZ Recovery or TWRP for the L600 ( look for the meliuslteXX version i9205), flash via Odin. Make sure the first boot is into recovery and not the OS after flashing the recovery or it will not stick. After, flash root via recovery through the options in the menu and and then reboot the phone. Once rebooted install SuperSU via the Playstore. After you should have gained root access.
Like I said any help is much appreciated. I'll patiently await your replies! :good:
