High Battery drain in JB Roms - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi,
Ics Roms like cm9 gets minimum 2 days battery backup.but
JB Roms only gets maximum 12 hours backup. I like JB because super fast without overclocking.
Any solution or Recommend a Kernel.
Tested Roms+Kernel
Fxp149+Fxp149
Cx-MIUI+Fxp149
and other old fxp versions

BOOM
Use SE NEO TWEAKED
CM9 is still buggy and not recommended for daily use
yes use sony tweaked its better than cm9
cm9 fxp111 kernel also doesnt work so
sony tweaked is best for now.......
I switched from stock rom to tweaked v0.7 + inteks kernel. I ran this combo during a few months.
When tweaked v1 was released I decided to give it a try. Since v1 fully functional with inteks kernel I also install the nightelf kernel. I didn't really notice performance improvements. But I liked the changed buttons in the notification bar. But I also noticed a serious decrease in battery life. With inteks + tweaked v0.7 I could do 2 days without recharge. With tweaked v1 + and nightelf I needed a recharge after +- 15 hours ...
Maybe this also due to some widgets and such ... But I installed tweaked v0.7 again (kept nightelf for now) and my battery life increased again (+- 36 hours).
...
If i can say...
both of them suck right now... se.tweaked so bad themed so ugly and cm9 would be great but no gsm and buggy
I tried both of these two roms and wat i can say se tweaked is way better, smoother and everything is working pretty good and has gr8 battery life too.on the other hand cm9 is latest android bt battery drain is huge and video camera is bugged.hope this helps enjoy

Best kernel?

Just wondering do kernels make a difference on battery life at all.I find dooms and th japs very similar with battery life.just want to know if someone has tried many kernels for stock based Rom and what they find best.I don't care about overclocking as it causes random reboots imo

I was using champs x10s with complete stock last week to test (v8) it was pretty good I must say. (about a day and a half which is good for my usage)

Usually rom developers would suggest suitable kernels for their roms.
Rom: feralab volt v14
kernel: doom v06
rocking the unlocked bootloader, using xda premium app.
phones are like cars, you can't keep them stock for too long.
Hey @bodomfan sorry I can't reply to ur last pm for some reason XDA app fcs when I try to open ur msg (oddly enough)

Weird Im currently using champs kernel seems decent

I think, the difference betweeen the kernels availible for download is not directly related to battery consumption, it is just a matter of features. Some of them are overclocked or undervolted.
As far as I know, it is the choosen governor that makes difference on battery level.
For example :
- Performance governor does set the CPU frequency to the highest one configured
- OnDemande governor increases the frequency regularly until it hits the needed one
... and so on. You can read more here and here.
On my phone I use SmartassV2 because I don't want lags but I care a little bit for the battery, maybe I am wrong. If I am, can someone correct me
Same here really not sure why it fcs there but never mind

Battery Backup Help
Any suggestion for battery backup please, I have Xperia Mini Pro SK17i ICS 4.0.4, since, i updated to ICS i'm experiencing very low battery backup, any suggestion and help will be really appreciated.
I have wt19i aka LWW as well. I used ICS and for battery life it was horrible, though I liked it. Anyway, I searched many forums and they recommend SonyDroid. I just installed that and it appears to be fine, though still have no idea about the battery. Here is the page:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626455
The problem is that the walkman button does not work. In fact you have to install a zip to get Xperia player as a workaround to this problem. The DEV says version 7 will be around soon which hopefully fix this problem.

ICS stock ROM has an battery life issue..
Solution: Unlock BL(at your own risk ofcourse), then flash a custom Kernel like KRsH kernel or FXP 132 Kernel.. these kernels give better battery life as compared to stock kernel..
Further, you can more enhance the battery life using No-frills CPU Control (Google Play).. the recommended governor and I/O schedular IMO is SmartassV2 or Interactive and Sio repectively..

I personally will never for ICS again. It is not at least optimized for my LWW. Even custom ROMs could not help.

Is there any ics custom roms that are smooth as GB?

Which ics custom roms that performs almost the same or better than gb currently for mini pro?
I have never been a fan ics roms for my mini pro but I think its time to move on. Since now there are so many cool mods are only for ics.
So please which ics custom ics roms is best for me. I want the roms consumus less ram and good battery life. I dont really do gaming that much.
And of course which ics custom roms that has absolutely bug free like seriously who the f wants to use a roms full of bug?

Well the xperia pureness rom by Sand7 is pretty fast and
battery conserving. Most of the time I get around 170 to 180 MB of free ram.
Also if you are interested you can try the JB PACman rom by AllenHu. Only the youtube bug and accelerometer bug exist. And it is pretty fast and it also conserves the battery. And I mosty have around 190 MB of free ram always.

Serenity and Octane are the fastest ICS Roms at this moment. Both are battery efficient, depending on what kernel you using
They are also more or less bugfree.
This is battery life on Serenity, Octane has around the same. This is with kernelpanic 1.25, governor is ondemand, since I find smartassv2 laggy. Think you can get even a bit more battery life with Rage or Mess, but you lose on performance with those.

In the pureness there are no bugs at all. At least there were no bugs on my mango. As for battery life I can't say much as just 2 hrs after flashing this rom, I returned to JB.

I recommend to the Hasa MIUI Rom. I just flash Unlimited Boost, I got 37fps on Nenamart 2 @ 924mhz.

[TEST] [SMULTRON] CM10 nightly Build 20130101 (Latest)

I tested the latest cm10 build for Xperia mini st15i (smultron) and i want to share my experience with this rom.
1. I don t find any major bugs...everything is working
2.Performance -it is better than GB
Games tested : 9mm and Agent dash-play almost perfect ,very short lag sometimes
3.Camera is very FAST and BETTER <3
-sometimes gallery force close but is only a minor bug
4. I try many Roms ( CM.7.2, CM 9.1 ,stock gb,stock ICS etc. ) but this is THE BEST ROM IN MY OPINION
102 already out
cm-10-20130102-NIGHTLY-smultron. have you tied this?

Which CPU frequency do you use for that games?

He overclocked it up to 1.6ghz. No wonder why he did not experienced lags at all
I have tried every available GB & ICS custom ROM for st15i (Mini). My favorite is Smart Xperia™ROM ICS. It needs baseband 77 but is "miles ahead competition" from my point of view (UI, stability and free RAM). I use it every day for almost 10 days and my phone's battery lasts easily for 48 hours with minimal use (30 min calls + 60 min WiFi daily, OC 1.4 GHz).
I need google apps
where I can download google apps that suitable for this rom?
