AOKP - lockscreen - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-I777

I just installed AOKP. No problems, enjoying it so far. I have a question about the lockscreen.
I see in the AOKP ROM Settings options for the lockscreen, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to change the lockscreen to something that requires user input (whether it be a pin or a specific swipe gesture). Where can I find this??

No.....notification dropdown in lockscreen is a special features for ICS Rom....its an quickest way to go to notification with having to unlock it....
if you don't like that feature then flash Custom Rom.....
If you realy don't like this you can use an other (custom) rom or lock screen but a lot of them keep this feature!
Maybe a good developper can solve your "problem" with changes in the lines of rom ...
anyone has any solution?
Use pattern or password lock, or change to miui.

I know, using pin or other security lock will disable it, but i don't want to use them
Actually, It somehow worked the way I wanted before but after a fresh install, it's back to old behaviour and I have no clue how it worked before

ICS has always had that feature. You would have to edit the framework, not sure whether framework-res.apk or one of the .jar files, to change it.
I am ready to do those edits if someone can tell me what and how to edit

[Q] Unable to set slider shortcuts in CM10.1 - 20130114

Hi there, I have just upgraded from CM10 into CM10.1. All the while, I was able to use the slider shortcuts in CM10. After I updated into CM10.1, I couldn't seems to be able to find where can I enable the slider shortcuts on my lockscreen before I unlock the phone.
I am able to edit the shortcuts and able to use them if I set my phone to no need pattern/password/pin to unlock. Can someone please help me out? Thanks!
you do understand that cm 10.1 is based on android 4.2 and cm10 on android 4.1 right ?
the lock screen has changed and don't have lockscreen shortcuts but supports widgets.

Hey hey hey
Yea I understand that the CM10.1 is using 4.2.1. If lockscreen shortcuts are not supported anymore..then why can I still access to it and make modification?
i'm out here, i guess you should wait for someone with CM10.1 to answer cause i don't recall having this option at cm10.1 though it was installed on my device only for a couple of hours.

[Q] Lockscreen Jellyblast

[PORT][ROM][ICS/Jelly Bean mod]JellyBlast V3.0.5 [OTA5]
I really wanted to post this to the forum above, but dont have enough forum posts, is there anyway to disable lockscreens altogether?????? I would like to use the Holo lockscreen or WP7 but they seem to have issues overiding the lockscreens already on the Jellybean ROM.
Thanks for updating the message colours, ROM much appreciated
Tennis party
"The forum above" would be the wrong place to post this (how is it related to development? => It's not). This is the correct place.
AFAIK, there's no way to do what you want to do (disable the stock lockscreen and it only). Might want to make sure your alternate lockscreens always have enough memory, or else they'll be killed and won't be able to override the default lockscreen.
Yes there is a way to do it
Open your notification panel and go to extreme right
There you will see a toggle showing lock icon
Disabled it by clicking on it and voila
Well, next time
Ask your questions on Q&A section.

[MOD][XPOSED] LWInRecents - See Your Live Wallpaper in Recent Apps!

Important: for this module to work you need the Xposed Framework.
I didn't see a module to allow the live wallpaper to show up just like a static one in the recent apps panel, so I made one myself. Should work on 4.0.3 - 4.4.2, but I tested it on 4.4. Let me know if you have issues.
Changelog
----------------
Just see the repo.
Source code.
Please download it from the Xposed repo.
thanks. working great on 4.2.2

Cool, not sure why it wasn't working on Vanir. I checked their sources and I don't see any reason it wouldn't work.

While I'm sure these are possible, at the moment I'd prefer to keep this a simple module. If there's a lot of demand, or I'm in a feature-packing mood one day, perhaps I'll add these. Thanks for the feedback!

Thank you, I've always wanted this
I don't see any change. It's not working on my S3. I am on Omega Rom - android v4.1.2.
working flawlessly on xperia z 4.2.2
i got a small request if this is doable... can you make the xperia lockscreen the same as well? cause on the xperias lockscreen we need to choose a separate wallpaper for it.
swipe lockscreen requires a separate wallpaper cause it has the animation.. maybe it is still doable
pin/pattern/ lockscreen requires a separate wallpaper as well, but there are no animations so im wondering if this is doable..
thanks in advance!

Darn, that sucks. Doesn't surprise me that it's incompatible with TouchWiz though. While I would love to provide support for TW ROMs, I don't have a TW device so it's kinda hard. Will try to remember to take a look soon. Does the Xposed log file show an error?
Edit: Just decompiled SystemUI.apk and from what I can tell from the smali (though I'm terrible at reading smali) it should work on your ROM. Perhaps it is conflicting with another module. Again, if there is any error in the log, posting it would be really helpful.

Works
Thanks, works on s4 running carbon rom 4.3, but for some reason "3d live wallpaper" won't respond to sensor movements either in the recents window or on the homescreen. Really nice mod though
I've seen 2 problems with this mod.
First, when entring the recents screen on launcher, there is no animation.
Second, it there is no stat&navbar transparancy on recent screen while launched from launcher.
Edit: There IS bar transparancy

+1 for the transparency slider. The lwp I use (Nexus 4 Dot) is already pretty dark, with this mod active it's just *barely* visible.
But thanks for your work! Been wanting this for a while!

[Q] Lockscreen toggle KitKat

Do you guys know of any (notification) toggle to quickly disable/enable lockscreen? In the notification panel Android unfortunately doesn't seem to have such a toggle build in. With the previous build, Jelly Bean, some widgets from the Play Store seemed to work, but not anymore.
And perhaps someone knows a good app/mod to put back shortcuts on the lockscreen itself as well?
Thanks in advance!
Dennis
Anyone?
Really no one else is having the same needs for a lockscreen toggle in KitKat?

Thanks. But it seems a bit of a hassle for a lockscreen toggle widget. It comes bundled with a lot of mods... So it seems...
I really appreciate your help, but I'm hoping to find something more simple/less invasive...

Hi. It's not that I'm bothered by the icons. It's just seems to come with a whole lot of other mods, as far as I can see. Or am I missing something?
Nothing personal, but I wonder why I seem to be one of the few who is looking for such a toggle . It seems such an obvious need? Haha.
Try xposed and gravitybox module.

Thanks very much, but what does it exactly do? Regarding the lockscreen, the developer says a few things:
- Lockscreen targets
- Lockscreen tweaks, regarding theming.
- Lockscreen rotation
It does not say anything about a "toggle" to switch it easily on or off. It also needs a framework to be installed, and a lot of other tweaks/mods come with the module, that I'm not sure I would like...Plus, I read in that forum, that the lockscreen features are not working.
Anyway, it's 2014, there's not any solution anymore to just have a widget or something for it? Like with previous android versions?

Gravitybox will allow you to add/organize/customize the quicksettings tiles (like the lidroid from the other post), including a lockscreen toggle. There's lots of other tweaks too, but you don't need to use them if don't want. And yes, you'll need to install xposed framework, but it's easy, there's and app for it (xposed installer). If you're interested, search for xposed or gravitybox threads.
But you just want a homescreen widget/toggle, right? Google "no lock widget".

Thanks. I just generally just don't like installing all kinds of extras, even if I don't use them. A policy that kept my hardware running very smooth, where others suffer from sluggishness.
I am more looking for a widget then, yes. The one you mentioned unfortunately doesn't seem to work... I'll keep looking .
