High pitched buzzing noise coming from Nexus 10 - Nexus 10 General

I picked up my third nexus 10 from Walmart today; the first two had pretty bad light bleeding. When I got this one home I started playing with it. The light bleed is barely noticeable on this one but there is a horrible high pitched buzzing coming from the back of the tablet. It seems to be around the power button in the upper left corner. Has anyone else noticed this noise? I have another one ordered from Staples to be delivered on Thursday of next week. Hopefully that one will have a good screen and no buzzing.

Same issue
It's only noticeable with headphones plugged in for me. The culprit is charging while listening, the power supply brings noise into the DAC audio out.

Two quick hardware questions about Aria for other owners

Received my Aria from Amazon this week. $339 for this thing is pretty sweet for a no-contract phone. This is my first Android phone and I really like it. Two items are bugging me. If everyone else has the same issues then I'm not going to worry about it.
1. Headphone jack seems a little hissy/staticy on podcasts and music with decent quality earbuds. More noticable on podcasts though. Probably just spoiled by my Zune and my Nokia 5800 as these devices make headphone output a top priority. Is this par for the course?
2. Flipping the phone over in a dark room there is a light leak around the right rear bottom screw hole showing through the cover. There is a little gap that is not there around the other holes. There is no light showing anywhere else. Almost looks like the hole for the cover was just cut slightly too large so it left a little gap. Nothing major, but just wanted to see if it was just my unit. I could definitely photograph it.
1. Audio quality for me seems decent. Then again I'm not an audiophile and have never had a Zine.
2. I have it too. Dann! Cannot unsee!

I have also noticed the hiss problem. It is readily apparent to me in listening to podcasts, but not music (except in parts containing silence).
The second part I am unsure of as I never bothered to look at the back of my phone in darkness. I'll do so later tonight and edit this post if I remember.
Edit: I just went into the bathroom with the lights off and the bottom right corner does show light through the screw hole. Maybe it allows you to orient the phone when looking at the back in complete darkness?

Hiss
after reading the posts on the Hiss on the HTC Aria. I searched Google-HTC aria hiss and came up with several major phone reviewers writing about hearing the hiss sounds on calls. they didnt mention if the hiss was coming from the earbud but this will change my mind about purchasing the ARia.
with music you wont hear it but my ears cant stand hiss on phone calls as they are many slient spots in conversation.
With decent headphones there is most definitely hiss coming from the headphone out. I've tried it with several different compression formats. It's not horrible, but there is more than exists on a DAP. It's unfortunate if you care about quality at all, but the phone will still work as a backup player I guess.

Anyone feels that the volume from speakers are not balance

At first couple days I did not notice this issue, yesterday I found the the sound from the right speaker is louder than the left one. Anyone has the same feeling? I'm not sure if it is a problem with the hardware or the software.
I did notice something like that yesterday. Don't know if it was what I was watching, or if it was the Tablet, but it does warrant some more investigation.

I can say I don't have this issue. I had originally thought mine was the other way around but then realized it was my audio source, sounds balanced now.
Have you checked with earbuds to make sure that it's really a problem? I've found that not only where I hold the tablet in relation to the side speakers will effect the perceived balance, but also how I hold my hands which changes how sound reflects off them thus changing the perceived sound balance.
Earbuds worked with no problems. I'm thinking it should be the speakers' issue.

My sound is off, but that was after I opened up my device. The speaker wire is close to the edge and are a bit flimsy - just moving them slightly seems to affect the volume. Could be a hardware defect that affects some devices more than others, that's my guess.
At one point, I had actually put some electrical tape over one speaker as my "DIY" volume reduction fix.
I've had my gtablet for about five days. The left speaker would sometimes work, but mostly would not. I tried different ROMs, different media players. Earphones worked perfectly. Sending it back for a replacement... I'll just end up breaking something else if I open the thing up, lol.

[Q] in call sound drops off sometimes....

Well. im fairly happy with the S3 apart from a few 'build quality' issues.
I find myself at a fork in the road... especially with this issue!
During a call thats longer than about 5 minutes the volume suddenly drops right off and it sounds like the person on the other end is standing with a pillow between them and the phone.. very muffled and quiet.
this has happened about 7 times since i have recieved the phone and it is starting to bug me somewhat..
Has anyone else experianced this ?
oh BTW my 'build quality' issues are:
Front speaker does not sit flat, the right side is visible protruding past the glass screen and the left side is just under flush.. i would say the right side is sitting a few thou high but its very noticable.
there are a few 'dinks' in the chrome plastic surround ( came out the box like this ).
yes im picky, but i did just buy this phone sim free!

T Mobile HTC One Mini Review

Okay I got in 2 T-Mobile HTC one's and I'll be getting the Dev edition as well on tuesday.
Here's my Initial mini review.
First.
Serial and Batch Info
Both are FA345.
Phone 1. FA345W
Phone 2 .FA345W
April 5 2013 build date.
Issues.
They both have Gaps at the top, but no overhang issues. 1 is worse than the other. There are also small knicks on the top speaker grill near the gaps on 1 of them, Also there is a place where the plastic isn't filling in the gap at all on 1. Both will be sent back to replacement.
Sound.
1.Without beats turned on it's loud it's louder than the galaxy note 2, I can hear it upstairs from the other side of the house., However I did notice some static on 1 of the speakers. The sound is muffled with beats on so I'm using it without it.
Temperature
2. The phone is WARM very very warm, most of the warmth is concentrated in the middle>towards bottom near the usb charging port.
Branding.
3. There is no T-Mobile Branding on the back it's just like the international version.
Capacitive Button bleed.
4.The unit I'm using does not have any capacitive bleed onto the screen from the buttons. The droid DNA had this and many other htc phones but this doesnt I tested this in a dark room viewing all angles settings.
LCD Corner Light bleed.
5.The only bleed i detect is on the top left corner in a tiny section, the rest of the screen does not have any light bleed anywhere it's a huge improvement over the DNA which had alot of bleeding on all sides.
Stereo Sound Observations.
Watching a movie, If someone makes a noise on 1 side of the screen say the right side, and travels to the other side (left) the sound will move with them and come out of the left speaker. So it will start from the right and move to the left.
**Upcoming** Will Post video showing the sound/etc soon and more info.
Can't wait to get my Tmo HTC One
Hopefully my store has them in stock

Is it only warm near the USB port while it's charging, or is it always like that?

If your using the phone ( I was on youtube playing video's it's warm like very warm.) It's not only near the USB Port it extends all the way to where the camera area is and it's warmest near the port to middle of the phone and starts to taper off as it reaches the top.
I'll have to test the other devices to see if it's an isolated issue with this one or all of them have the same behavior.

[Q] Speakrphone issues [SOLVED]

Everyone says it is very difficult to hear me on the speakerphone and that I sound distant or garbled. Anyone else experiencing issues with using the speakerphone? I have a silver One from launch day on AT&T.
I'm not sure if it is my phone or a common problem. A friend of mine has a black HTC one and his speakerphone sounds fine.
I have no issue when not using the speakerphone.
Thanks
I got the same complaint when new with the phone. I researched and it seems the noise cancelling mic on the back can make this occur when lying on a flat surface (face up, back on surface). I make sure I don't have it lying flat and speak into the mic on the bottom. Usually I hold it. Haven't had any complaints since. YMMV.

Other Possibility
Then there is this thread in the Sprint HTC One forum. Hmmmm.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2262648
For some reason, I feel like my old Galaxy Note had better call quality than my One. I never had to repeat and raise my voice as much as I do now. I don't like the microphone placement because my left pinky tends to cover it when I take calls. It would've made more sense if the Mic was in the center since the charging port is more to the side.
Sent from the Hottest Phone of 2013 (HTC One)
My issue was the ZAG Invisible shield on the back of the phone was covering the Noise cancellation mic. Even though it looked like the the little square cut out and removed it was not. Apparently this can caused the problem as well. Hope this helps. You can test this by covering the noise cancellation mic while on speaker phone.
