I own both i9100 and i9100T. And I have been flashing every top 10 update from sammobile. My i9100T was running the xxls8 for nordic countries (unbranded) until I just found the jb update for I9100T just released. Which is what im on right now. Just change csc to your country and you will be sweet with local kies/ota updates

Let's start here.
Your profile says "T-Mobile", with a US flag. So are you sure you are an I9100 user? Or do you actually have an SGH-T989, which is the T-Mobile USA variant of Galaxy SII?
FYI, this is the I9100 forum, which is a completely different model of phone than the T-Mobile USA variant.
I'm form poland and i'm in t-mobile. And i'm sure i have SGH-I9100 -.- And i want to make phone stock to kies compatibile with it.

Ah, good, you changed your flag.
Unfortunately, a lot of the links in Intratech's thread are for multiupload, which has been shut down.
However, you should be able to download a stock firmware for Poland from samfirmware.com. Flash that, and you should be good to go.
ok ill try
By the way - I hope you meant "GT-I9100"... as there is no such model as "SGH-I9100".
I downloaded from that site the newest rom for my country and kies says my device isn't operating kies update.

So you flashed an ICS firmware (4.0.3) already. Flash to a 2.3.6 firmware if your want Kies to update it to ICS for you.
ok ill try
So if i have current version (ICS) this is the same as i would update it by kies ?

*sigh*
My point here, was you have to be precise on model numbers.
GT-I9100 is not the same as GT-I9100G, is not the same as GT-I9100P, is not the same as GT-I9100T.
I9100G cannot use the same firmwares as any of the other three.
I9100P can use I9100 firmwares, but will lose NFC if you do (unless you re-enable it via a mod)
I9100T can use I9100 firmwares, but will probably have to flash a modem optimized for Tesltra to get good signal afterwards.
If you start telling people you have an "SGH-I9100", no one will know what you have, or be able to help you.

Can't you use the CheckFUS downloader to get the latest "stock" firmware for your region and model?

Yes to this, most likely
If you have Galaxy S2 I9100 (International Version) you can flash it via ODIN.

Kies showing different firmware

I have rooted my S2 but now unrooted but problem is that before rooting my firmware was PDA:KJ2 / PHONE:KI4: / CSC KJ1 (KSA) showing on KIES... now it is showing PDA:KJ2 / PHONE:KI4: / CSC KJ1 (XSG)although i have downloaded official stock firmware from sammobile firmwares which is SAUDI ARABIA but why the hell iit is showing (XSG) instead of (KSA) on KIES.
It doesn't makes any big difference, so as long as it shows updates in kies you have no problem
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
but still wanna know why it is showing XSG firmware instead of KSA?
anyway what about updates i'm still on GB 2.3.5, is my phone will be updating according to UAE from now on?
can i flash official ICS from any other region after rooting?

ya sure, but you can upgrade to other region ics even without rooting. download the ics firmware you want to flash and use odin to flash it. do read the odin tutorial on how to do it.
you can flash any i9100 ICS ROM if you have i9100 Model.
try dialing wipe code, it might fix your csc issue.
or try changing csc manually.
search is your friend. there also an app for S2 csc in market

[Q] latest firmware?

where to look for latest firmware? Into release date or Samsung letter code?
XXLQB 4.0.4 released in July or
XWLPX 4.0.4 released in September?
XXLQB seems to be newer but is older than XWLPX

Yes, you can install the official 4.1.2 JB firmware released in Spain and other international markets.
Search the forums on how to flash the firmware to your phone.
To point you in the right directions, here are some points:
You will need to use Odin.
Download the official firmware from the links on this forum or sammobile .com
do i have to flash simple PDA file or i have to to give PIT file too with PDA???

For the record, throw the 'M' out. You have an i9100. All the 'M' says is you got your phone in Canada. Nothing special about the phone at all.

I actually flashed and rooted but i can't get out of it now. I think its due to the m dissappearing. the error i get when i try flashing is in an error in the file and the scripts last step while running is looking for i9100m i9100t i9100. apparently from the looks of it, it wasn't reading the model. this may be due to the fact that this is a new rom but its a bit odd. on speed mod kernel.

§What the officiel Rom I should use :

im From Tunisia ....im using now the latest cm10.1 ..im alawys having problems with gps ( also cm9) so i decided to install the officiel rom of my contry " tunisia ' .. because i thing it have the best gps.conf file !!
please telll me what is the best officle rom

This is new.. A 'best official rom'
Just flash a stock JB-rom from www.sammobile.com with Odin, or try a custom rom that's based on stock one's.
Sent from the Matrix
Well im not quite sure but i dont think JB is out in tunisia, so you should go back to the previous stock ROM you had.
Or you can check out your latest firmware by going to SamMobile.com > Firmware > Check Your Firmware
Good luck!
Or go with Donnie, he's more experienced than me
