My wife took my Xoom and now I am tabletless. I wanna wait for N10, but without any news of prospect of getting one, I keep having dumb thoughts of buying an Asus Inifinity..

I am trying! Tonight, I even called Walmarts in upstate NY to see if they had one, so I could drive down and buy it!

I went to a couple of Walmarts in my area today (Mississauga/Toronto). It didn't look like they had any in the store. I even asked a couple of people who worked there and they kept on telling me I was confused with the nexus 7.
They don't sell them at Walmart in Canada, but they do in the US!

Just got Nexus 10 in Canada
I live in Vancouver and I just got my Nexus 10 last week. Here are the things I did:
1. Register an account at a pick-up location at the US border. There are many pick-up locations servicing Canadians at the border. You just need to pay $3 to $5 for each item shipped there.
2. Change the credit card billing address to that US pick-up location, for just one day.
3. Search on google for a "high anonymity" proxy server in the US. Enter its IP address and port number into your browser settings. This is to trick the google play store that you are located in USA instead of Canada.
4. Now go to google play store. What you will see is the US store instead of the Canada store.
5. Both 16GB and 32GB models are available. It says "ship in 1 to 2 weeks" for the 32GB model. I ordered it using the credit card with the US billing address. It shipped within 2 days.
6. When the item arrives the pick-up location, you will normally receive an e-mail from that location. Drive across the border to there and pay a few dollars to pick it up.
7. Just unbox it, take the tablet and all the accessories. If you want the original box, just mail it back to Canada and don't bring it together with yourself. This is to prevent custom duty when crossing the border back to Canada.
8. If you want to save the State tax (8.7% in Washington State), you can register an account at reship.com. They are located in Oregon so that you don't need to pay any state tax. Have google store ship to them, and they will re-ship your tablet to the US border. You just need to pay a fee to reship.com and it's cheaper than the state tax.
16gb now available on the Canadian play store.

So what? True or not, its not like the Nexus 10 is not powerful enough. And that would still be in a couple months.
I'd rather have a Nexus 10 tomorrow than have a revised Nexus 10 in 3 months. Its not wasted money, you still have your Nexus 10.
I ordered one today. Funny thing is it was "Estimate Delivery : 25th January" then "Estimated Shipping : 25th January" and now "Delivered" lol.

That's the Nexus 4. The Nexus 10, regardless of the price is the first tablet to compete with the iPad (through pure android, hires, build). So yeah the price is a perk but not the whole point of it like at 100$ less, vs the Nexus 4 which is half price at similar quality/feature.
But no, I wouldn't buy any tablet for 700$.

So why are you still posting here? Just to tell us that we made the wrong decision? well based on the reviews I read, and the videos I watched MY decision was to buy one. Therefore I am participating in this community and hoping to get more information that contributes to my purchase and at the same time offering what positive points I can to help others.

I'm just not seeing those as negative reviews. They hit on all the same "it's not an iPad" talking points, but as an Android tablet user since the original Galaxy Tab through the Tab 8.9 LTE and Nexus 7, I pretty much discount most of those points.
And the performance issues don't worry me based on what I've seen, it seems capable and at least as fast as a 1280x800 Tegra 3 tablet, and far faster than a 1280x800 Tegra 2 tablet. I really don't like Android gaming, so if it browses cleanly and handles video playback well, that's all I need.
Frankly, I bought it for the display and AOSP. Wish it had removable storage, but so far that's it for my list of negatives.

I just ordered mine as well. Strange these still are in stock considering how fast the Nexus 4 sold out
I just placed an order for a 32GB one.
About half an hour to an hour earlier there were none for sale.
So I think they're currently sorting through all the multi-order shennanigans from earlier.
Order status though is 'pending'
Snagged up a 16GB one, I was planing on getting the N4 first then this but guess I will reverse the order, who knows when the N4 will be available again. Play Store in Canada showing the 32GB sold out now.
Any canucks get shipping info at all tonight? Nothing here yet.

I'm not holding my breath on getting it this week, since it looks like it's coming out of Toronto. And why do they ship stuff to Toronto that probably came off the boat in Vancouver from Korea/China to start with? I mean, seriously, my Nexus 10 already passed through town, now it's got to come back?. Seems like it would make more sense to warehouse it at the port of entry.

It will change the location to Texas, states at the time of shipment. Happened to me twice when I ordered my nexus 7's back in July and September. Took 4 freaking days to ship as well

Dont believe anything Currys/PC World is telling anyone. I suspect they are saying those things in the hope people will wait and buy from them.
Heres an idea. Ring the Customer Sales line 5 times, you will get 5 different answers.
They havent got a clue.
When I went in to my Local Curry's, the Manager told me he didnt even know when the Nexus 7 was coming in untill his stock arrived by courier.
Gamestop has it listed in their system but no release yet as of a few days ago when I inquired in-store while pre-ordering a Neo-Geo X Gold bundle & an additional arcade stick (woohoo!!!). FWIW, I inquired at a local wally world & they had no clue what I was talking about as they thought I was referring to the N7 also although I did see the shelf sticker listing for it. He scanned the barcode & it wasn't in-stock yet.
There was a spare place on the display rack at local Walmart here in Salt Lake City. Label on shelf had Samsung GT-whatever, which after checking the internet, corresponded to the N10. $499. Asked but no one had a clue. Maybe it'll be in stock by the weekend?

I've had the MOST DIFFICULT time locating this phone. No one has them except Corporate Sprint (and Verizon) stores, at least in my area. It seems that Best Buy decided this is a phone they will NOT stock in stores...ever. I have called and visited over 5 Best Buy or Best Buy Mobile stores. None of them have it, and none were able to order it. I ordered it from BestBuy.com on release day, with a promised delivery by Monday, November 18. Well, I got an e-mail basically saying it was out of stock, and they expect to receive and ship orders within 30 days. I called Best Buy Mobile and spoke with a representative, who transferred me to a manger to find out more. The manager then called HTC for availability information, but HTC said "You need to call Best Buy." So then I called HTC and spoke with a representative, who transferred me to a manger. They called Best Buy to find out more information, and Best Buy said "You need to call HTC." PATHETIC. Between the two companies, SOMEBODY has to know when these phones will be in stock. And if they knew they didn't have any to begin with, they should have listed "backordered" on the website, and not "Add to cart."
Then today I called Wirefly.com and placed an order with them, and after giving all my information and going through all the steps with the representative, it turns out they, too are out of stock!! I opted for expedited shipping, in hopes to get it before Thanksgiving. But Wirefly.com says they "expect" to have more info on availability within 72 hours, but I don't trust them at all.
What is going on!? Is it just me, or is this the worst HTC product lunch ever!? I've heard (rumor) that they are trying to pull a card from Apple's deck, and create a false sense of demand. I'm a fan, and I've upgraded to a new HTC phone every year for the past 7 years, but I'm no idiot. I know HTC has neither the popularity nor the market share of Apple or Samsung. Not even close. So why is this phone so hard to acquire? For now, I'm going to leave both my BestBuy.com and Wirefly.com orders pending until one of them ships and they confirm it by sending a tracking number, then I'll cancel the other.
Side Note: For those wondering "Why don't you just buy it from the Sprint store?" I want to buy it from Best Buy because they have it for $250, plus they will give me a $50 gift card for upgrading through them, so that results in $200. Also, I like the advantages of the My BestBuy program. Wirefly had them for $200, which I would have been okay with getting it there. Sprint is asking $250, and they seem unwilling to match any of the others' offers. I'm going to try a different Sprint store tomorrow, where I know one of the managers. Maybe he will be willing to match Wirefly.com's offer. I'm tempted to order from Amazon.com, but I fear I will get the same "backorder" nightmare.

It's a Global Phone meaning it has the radios to do it. But knowing verizon it will be locked.

How? I asked to be notified by email of when it was coming by way of the HTC One Max coming soon landing page for Sprint. They did, and the page asked if I wanted to check my upgrade eligibility, so I did, and qualified for the One Up promotion, but it involved setting up an appointment to go into a authorized store. This was on a Friday. I made the appointment for Saturday, and waited all of about 7 minutes and they started the ball rolling.

209E = $290 USA is similar to what I paid 5 months ago, it is a common price you can find within a week-ish of trawling.
I think that is a fair price for the performance and screen.

I don't compare with US prices, as in europe most technology cost way more (Nexus 5 = €350, iPhone 5s €730)
that's why this Nexus 10 price seems acceptable.

That's really nice. May I know how did you go through it and which forwarding service did you use? I would like to do the same as well but personally have no experience of using such.

This time Band 3 is supported on both the US and International models so not an issue.
Ordered from the US store, 128gb, black, to be shipped to Oman via aramex.
Also, Have a friend who works in huwawi here who is high in the chain of command, ordered 2 pcs of 128gb, he said he will bring them with him next week once he is back from his trip to HQ in China.
Fingers crossed so I might get mine next week.

Ordered from the US store, 128gb, black, to be shipped to Oman via aramex.
Also, Have a friend who works in huwawi here who is high in the chain of command, ordered 2 pcs of 128gb, he said he will bring them with him next week once he is back from his trip to HQ in China.
Fingers crossed so I might get mine next week.
