No. The app tries to enable blue tooth and it hangs. It also freezes my bluetooth and wifi so i have to restart the phone.

Same thing happens to me I contacted support they sent me the newest version still nothing its something HTC did with the bluetooth setting. Best thing we can do is wait for cm10 which should fix the problem according to support

I believe the reason is because we do not use the Bluez Bluetooth stack that the program was originally written for, instead we use broadcom bt.le. I may be wrong.
We also do not have android 4.2 which the dev rewrote the drivers for.
We are stuck in the void till we get an update, cm, or a rewritten driver. 2 of 3 options seem likely.
I destroyed my rom using trial and error to try to get this working last night and had to reflash.

BTW, Q & A means questions and answers. If an original post provides no beneficial information about the phone, including development, or general discussion about apps, accesories, or upcoming features, and the thread ends with a question mark, 9.8999 times out of 10, it belongs in the Q & A section.
This is a pretty big habit in the HOX+ sub

Can you have more than one rom boot option?
As far as I know, not in the way you're probably thinking. There is an app called Boot Manager that allows you to install ROMs in different 'slots' on your SD card. You use the app to choose which one to boot into.
I don't know if it supports this phone as of now though, but you might want to look into it.

HTC One X/S/EVO support?
Sorry to necrobump this thread. I was wondering if there's been any update about this from the dev.
I tried searching on their forums and found every thread about the topic had been deleted (about two pages worth of search results). Then I tried posting a thread asking about it and it was automatically deleted. I have to say, if they're actually ignoring and keyword deleting threads about it, especially from people who paid for the pro version (back in my EVO OG days when I could use it), I'm pretty disgusted with the company.
any update on this??? i really need dual boot :fingers-crossed:
Hi guys,
I recently downloaded Ubuntu to begin app development for the Galaxy Player 4.0 but encountered a major problem: No Internet.
HOW do I get my WiFi to work on Ubuntu 12.10 wubi? Can someone PLEASE give me a step by step instruction guide to get my WiFi running?
All I know is that you have to do some complicated stuff.
Thanks. Any help would be appreciated!

ERM...you MIGHT just get better results in a forum actually dedicated to Ubuntu. Usually, those issues occur with older broadcomm WiFi chips, which may be what you have, you should check (Google is your friend). It shouldn't be too hard to fix it, but I silent a week a few years ago trying tofix it just bbecause I wasn't patient enough for it to scan for networks.

You should post your wi-fi card model if you want us to be able to help. Without this info we can't do much except recommand you to check in computer setting > software source > additional driver. I know sometime there is a firmware wich need to be installed from there for some broadcom card. Hope this help you.

Me too, I wonder if there will be a way to get this on the Rezound
I'm sure it will be able at some point. I don't know if there will be issues with moving drivers to it, but i don't think it will be too long after the release till we see at least a bit of progress on it.

It's endorsed by Canonical, so yes. They don't release or distrubute anything closed source. That's the reason you can't get stuff like Oracle Java or Google Chrome as part of Ubuntu without doing the legwork to install it yourself.
The good thing is that by the time we are all bored of jellybean and development has slowed, it will probably be ready to flash on our rezzie. Good reason to keep the phone another year or so. Who else registered their email for info.

Well they did recently add proprietary Nvidia drivers to their official repositories. Not to mention that the mainline kernel does have some blobs in it (of course that's why GNU maintains a version that is open source only).

Hopefully eventually we can get something like Replicant (100% free and open source version of Android).
I'm probably dreaming, though, since we have way too much proprietary hardware.

Ubuntu would be so fun on a Rezound! But would it still be able to do all the messaging/calling features from android? Would it even be significantly different in that respect?
Either way it would be fun!!!

From what I've seen while looking at videos and whatnot, the experience is totally different. It reminds me of a really fancy Meego. Which is a good thing, imo.
I don't pay much attention to Engadget anymore, but they've a very good video up on Ubuntu for Phones. The founder of Cantonical says that it will be available to download and that "we have a large community, we expect folks will help make images for a variety of different devices." I think that pretty much confirms our open source questions.

Hey guys, I got an HTC One GE also. Since there is no separate forum for the GE, does anyone know if it is possible to gain S-OFF? I'm not planning on flashing ROMs because stock android is awesome. Thanks!

Me too, the quality of pictures is unchanged.
So, it turns out we're out of luck. After a ton of research, the only exploit that works to S-OFF works with hboot 1.44, but the GE ships with Android 4.2.2 which has hboot 1.54, which patched the exploit.
We have to wait it out for S-OFF.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've never seen the Tampered flag returned to normal. I've seen counter resets for plenty of devices, but in the few phones I've rooted and modded for friends, I haven't seen a boot loader reset tool that could fix it. Am I living in the past?

You don't get around much do you?
We've had a system dump for a couple of weeks now.
I have the GE as well. It would be nice if we had a separate forum. I have a few things I would like to see if others are seeing as well:
Home and back button light work "inconsistently"
Wifi seems to be inconsistent too (I may have solved this with turning off the "wifi optimization" in the advanced settings
IR definitely does not work. I tried the MacRemote app, which works on the standard HTC One.
Loving the phone so far. It is so nice to finally have AT&T LTE on a stock android(ish) device. For those that will scream that this is not "stock android" I shall call it SKINLESS android.

Not sure about the WiFi or the light inconsistencies, but I know that HTC didn't include the API for the infrared remote because the GE is supposed to be as 'stock' as possible.

Yeah, once you have S-Off, you can change the flags, remove them, add ones, etc etc. You can even change and reset it back to 100% completely stock and locked / S-on if desired. I used it on my DNA (same s-off method) then returned it to factory locked before I sold it.

I was about to post this plea for help and then I decided to try a factory reset and before I could finish signing into google I had an LTE signal.
If you're having connection issues try a factory reset. Mine was cycling between 3 bands along with having no signal at all and never managed a 4G LTE signal, I even went and got another sim card. Incredibly relieved at the moment, the phone is great, no junk, just Android.
