Has anyone been able to get the Google Play Movies & TV app to work on a Sense Rom? I really like the choice of movies they have but it always gives me a "device not supported" message. I remember it working a few months ago when I first flashed an early jellybean PA build but since I switched back to Sense, nothing.
I'm on the latest stock OTA rooted but I've tried it on Meanrom as well with the same result.

And now Hulu Plus isn't working either, but that seems to be pretty widespread. Any ideas guys?
Netflix is sucking huge Nonkey Duts lately in the selection department and there are really no good alternatives besides Google and Hulu.... Crackle is awful.

I've noticed that the YouTube app on this device has some pretty bad lag so far. Like slightly worse even than my POS Samsung Moment. Scrolling while videos are playing cause really bad stutters and slowdowns. YouTube works fantastically in the browser but the standalone app seems lacking.

If you don't have an Evo3d well you don't have an Evo3d
It's only ever bad for me when scrolling between comments and such during the video, and it's really not too bad, but it is the one instance where I feel the phone is a bit slower than it should be.

I probably am over analyzing it, and the slowdown I see is probably just a compatibility issue that I'm sure will get resolved. Regardless, here's a video showing the slowdown I'm referring to.

This thing always stops playing video. This version and the latest version from the market. I will just stop with "An error has occurred touch he to restart" or something like that. Pisses me off to no avail!
I used to have that same problem, mostly just over 3g though. I know some people can't get it to play over wifi or 4g. Yoboii23's post about retrieving msl to speed up internet fixed the problem I had.

Used to not have a problem with it and would run smoothly with my airwave..last few days its been lagging during playback and buffering..I have to update my prl for it to run smooth again..I feel like I'm updating my prl everyday..I'm trying to get another phone bit I've exchanged my 3d twice already and don't know if they will do it again..I swear my store.got a bad bunch..I love the phone besides some of the network issues I've been having
My problems for the app would be that it only works sometimes & only on 4G & not on 3G or WiFi . Which is weird because it used to work before like a week ago .

Down load jetvd it works playing YouTube videos. It will even play 3d videos too.

It doesn't say anything it just never loads. It will show. Loading..... And it will stay like that forever. The longest I waited was 15 mins & even after it wasn't fully loaded (same on wifi regardless of speed).

I'm having issues with it while on 3G. I keep getting,

Last update to youtube fixed the issue. I then rooted and the problem is back. Doesn't matter which rom I use I can't get it to work, even after updating the app. Dammit!!
I looked for it in the market and it showed up yesterday. And today i realise the game doesn't play it gets stuck at loading.
Went to the market and it say its not supported... But photon is and rezound and a couple others too.
This happen to anyone else?

What ROM are you on? I tried it on both MIUI with less than stellar results (choppy framerate) and on VirusROM which is performing great ATM.

I installed it yesterday, It's running nicely. Stock ROM rooted GSM. It's one of the games I'm actually enjoying and have a problem putting down.
Mine works on CM7 alpha. But no sound.

Yeah they took it off the market for some devices. But dont know why. You can look for it using google for the market link and says its not supported...

Works great on fresh rim
Tonight I Experienced a small glitch where I couldn't exit the game through the menus. I had to press the home button, open to task manager and kill it. Luckily I had saved just prior.
Ok, so I dl'ed from the game "other means" cause I wanted to play it lol. I can't wait for this to officially be supported for us so i can buy and have support and updates.
And please don't pm me to send you the apk, ill ignore it. Just posting another confirmation this game works great.

Has anyone gotten Google Play Movies to work? They play fine on my rooted GNex with AOKP or Jelly Bean. Not working at all on AOKP on my Tf300 (with or without hiding root).

Thanks. Weird. It has been working on my phone no problem. Both JB and AOKP without any extra steps. Figures that it works fine on the smallest screen I have. Oh Well. I may try and go back to stock on the tf300 and see what happens before giving up on it. Not a huge deal but it bugs me.

Play movies now works on rooted devices. Google has not officially announced it, but I read this somewhere and downloaded wrath of the titans a couple of days ago and watched with no problems. I was on rooted stock at the time.

I've seen that as well and my GNex works no problem with no workarounds. Got it working on the tf300t by going back to stock and then running Seanz's Hydro ROM (which is an optimized stock ROM). I still get the "not available with rooted devices" message, but temp unroot works. Hydro ROM is awesome (almost as fast and smooth as butter!) and I am very happy I was pushed to give it a try. Now I only wish I picked a better movie than 21 Jump Street as my first movie on the TPad. It really kinda sucked.

So I still can't get Google Nav to work without crashing, and it doesn't appear that Google is going to fix it any time soon. What is a good reliable free replacement?
I've also heard that it works fine on a rooted phone, but I haven't decided if I want to mess with that yet.

TeleNav & Waze are good

Yeah, switched to TeleNav a while back. Works for me until Google decides to fix the current nav app.
Its not google, htc has screwed up jellybean on our phones. The new sense 5 rom has fixed my nav issue. Also ics works perfectly

Being rooted doesn't help. You either have the problem or you don't, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme our reason. I've been using Waze and like it.

I like Scout, which has telenav as its back end
Wave fan here. Been using it for almost a year. Can't beat the crowd source traffic. Works better if you live in a big city with a lot of others using it.
Also saved me from speed traps a few times.
