I seriously doubt that you'll be able to find a motherboard by itself brand new. Your best bet is to try to find someone on eBay that's selling one with a shattered screen or something and scavenge the board. Hopefully you can find someone that's willing to ship overseas.

I agree there. You can find any other parts for phones but no one sells motherboards, as its the main part that makes it a phone. Only speakers/mics, sometimes camera's depending if it is even a separate part, some random flex cables n such, and the most common part is digi's and lcds.

Does Sprint have the white 3VO housing yet? I know Best Buy had the white OG EVO before Sprint but Sprint eventually got it. The reason I am asking is that I have been meaning to bring my 3VO in for repair because I ****ed it up when I dropped it on fresh concrete 2 days after launch. I have insurance and Sprint, over time, replaced EVERYTHING on my OG except the motherboard and battery...screen, mid-board, camera lens, battery door, kickstand, etc! I was wondering if I could request the white housing get put on instead of the black (even at an extra fee). To repair it, it will need a new battery door and screen surround...which (almost) exactly makes up the white housing swap. I mean, if I had bought the white 3VO from Radio Shack and it needed the same repair as my black one, Sprint would have to have white housings on hand, right? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. I know theres a few Sprint reps on XDA so your input would be MOST appreciated! Thanks!

I know RS has the white 3VO but I'm looking for the white housing specifically. Are they selling the white housing or offer in-house repairs on the white 3VO's? I was hoping Sprint had the white housings on hand to repair the white 3VO's that RS is selling. That way, I might be able to persuade a rep to hook me up with the white housing in order to repair my black 3VO...thanks for the input

Oh, I'm totally a nerd when it comes to XDA! HAHAHA! I just don't think I'd be cooler than somebody that doesn't keep up with the hip internet lingo...I thought this was a community...not a popularity contest...I'm just trying to find out some info if somebody has it...

so heres the deal, as far as i know, sprint isn't supposed to repair phones in store any for cracked screens or things of that nature, but some stores still do those repairs. at the store that i work at we arent supposed to those repairs in store and are supposed to send the customer through Asurion. however, we still do those repairs in store but we make customers buy a certain amount in accessories. some reps wont even bother fixing your phone and will just order you a new one. the white evo's are available to order so just become friends with ur local rep and get him to order you a new phone. hope this helps you out a bit. if you need a white housing pm me and i can see what i can do for you.

I have my 3d in a billion pieces in a zip lok right now. I purchase da month and a half ago a screen off Ebay, but it never showed up. I need to get a screen ASAP for my phone. Ive been without a functional phone now for almost 2 months and ive had to revert to my Captivate.
I need to know the best place to get a screen assembly, i don't really care what it costs anymore, (around 60 shipped would be nice) but i need my damn phone back.
Anyone have some suggestions where to go outside of Ebay, that's based out of either USA or Canada (canada prefered to avoid customs fees)

Have you asked the repair tech at a Sprint store to do it? They're in to make money as well. From me traveling across the country, I've had mine repaired anywhere between 20-60 dollars. Might get lucky.

We don't have a sprint carrier here in canada. Otherwise that would be the first place to do it. From what i can see, the LCD and the digitizer is about 60$ on its own, so i can see the whole unit replaced in stores for about 120-200$. Its an easy enough task i thought i would just do it myself. but after not receiving the parts in the mail after a month, im really getting impatient.
Did you ever get this fixed? Amazon.com has digitizers - is that what you need?

I had bought a digitizer (the glass) for about $15 off Amazon...
Has anyone noticed if you search for evo 3d front housing lcd digitizer or somewhere along those lines on ebay...the price for them are around 243?!?! I remember about two weeks ago they weren't this pricey!! Might as well get another phone...

I bought my digitizer at durapowerglobal.com. Got my order fast.
i just replaced digitizer got it from amazon with tools to do it. recieved in two days after order the lcd is seperate item if u need it. if not the digitizer for me was $16 2 hr job.

Where in Canada are you?
Anyone have a source I can order a replacement screen from? I had Sprint replace the screen on my Evo 4G a couple of years ago and the cost was $35 total for a new screen & bezel. I went in to the same Sprint store and they said they no longer do it. Likewise I'm having a hard time finding replacement parts so that I can do it myself. In a previous life I was a Nokia repair tech so I'm pretty good with these things but I need parts. I'm seeing that some places sell a digitizer but I need the front glass. I may also need the next layers too as I've got some colorful spots near the bottom corners where it landed and cracked from. I saw someone selling something but it said specifically not for the Sprint version of the phone. Anyone know where I could get these parts preferably with a new bezel?
We were supposed to have 1yr contracts on our business account and since they took those away we're having to wait longer for upgrades and this is the result. If our account was the way it was for years prior we'd just go in and pay to upgrade our phones. I'm going to seriously reconsider staying with Sprint once our contracts are up this time around since this is no longer a selling point compared to their competition.

Also, I just found this site which seems to sell the same part for about $10ish less. They also sell the housing for about $30 which I also need to replace since mine is fairly beat up. I noticed that they sell this one without a light guide for about $60 and then they sell this one which has a light guide for about the same price but it's B-stock. My question is what the heck is a light guide and do I need one? Is it something I need to remove from the old one that could potentially get destroyed when removing it to re-use or something? Please get back to me quickly so that I can get my order on the way so I can fix my phone before it breaks worser.

Yeah, I've seen that thread but it doesn't really address the questions that I have here,
Long story short: I have a nice EVO LTE that is missing the back-top cover. I would just slap a case on it and be jolly, but this cover apparently has antennas in it.
When searching for a replacement on eBay, I found that the prices were either ~$20 OR they were ~$100!! What gives?

U can try aliexpress.com and ask the seller for antenna behind the top cover...

You could always keep your eye on eBay for one that has a heavily damaged screen.
Also, did you try calling HTC to see if they sell it as a replacement part?

yeah, i checked, no broken ones on amazon, and broken ones on ebay are $200+....
