my rooted galaxy s3 with some rom modification is getting software update
i am on the stock rom last week when i got update i cancelled it but now its not even getting cancelled
if my phone updates it will get bricked
what can i do reply fast it's updating right now

this is going to be a soft brick or hard brick ?
Soft brick, and I don't think you can just stop it without doing a soft brick, just see if this rom modification is removed, and if it does not work boot into download mode and flash a stock rom, if download mode does not work you can use a usb jib to get into it, you should be fine, I highly doubt a hard brick.

Ok I'm considered a noob so please be patient with me. I regret to say that I was trying to root my android phone which was very stupid for me to do. Now I think I bricked my phone. It gives me this error: "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Keis & try again. I tried to flash using odin. Im kind of panicking, so fast response would be great.

First hello guys..its just my 2nd post here anyways . i have a huge problem that i fully bricked my galaxy s3
My problem is that am stucked at samsung logo black screen and i can't do anything more ( can't enter downlload mode ...can recognize my phone on pc so i can use odin or fully reset it or something)
My bigger problem is that i lose my warrenty because my phone is rooted and flashed
Note: this problem happens while i was trying to flash cm10 and i did something wrong on rom manager thats why that all happens

perhaps a USB Jig may be of use to you in this situation to get you to download mode (Check my sig if you need a USB jig)
once you go to download mode, you can get to flash a stock firmware from odin

By bricked doesn't that mean it's better off at a repair shop?
Since you can flash through odin. Tried flashing stock fitmwares? there's a site where you can download them.. Google.

just try to go to samsung center and they will give their warranty. because they can get into download mode too so they can check your binary count dude
I Dont Know What To Do I just Got Hard Brick after i have in restoring my Rom VIA CWM and got hang ON RESTORING SYSTEM... Hello, I've hard bricked my Samsung S6 EDGE and I have no idea how to recover it. I have been all over the web for 2 days straight and Im kind of starting to lose hope on it. What hurts me the most is the effort it took me to get it. If anyone would like or knows how to help please don't hesitate to come forward.
Search for s6 stock recovery.img and flash it via odin or jodin, then reconnect it via smartswitch to reinstall stock rom.
Are you sure it's a hard brick? Are you able to turn on your device? If so, your device is recoverable via Odin otherwise it's not. . .
Hard-Brick ------ Bootloader is corrupted, your device is permanently dead and unusable.
Soft-Brick ------ Freezes to "Samsung . . . powered by Android" or Bootloops to samsung logo. .
