Download the file related to boot.img (from the OP). It will be an OTA update, which includes firmware. Inside the firmaware file you can extract the recovery.img

No one seems to know how to extract HBoot Dump from HTC Desire X?
Use dd command. If i'm right, hboot is in mmcblk0p18 partition.
So use this: dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p18 of=/sdcard/hboot.img
But I "stole" the official boot, radio, recovery and hboot image from an official update, you can use it if you want: http://d-h.st/9MR

Since you are already using the same ROM
Its not required to flash boot.IMG again
But u can flash the stock recovery again and relock the bootloader if you feel that HTC gonna update again

Yes, but if he doesn't install the custom recovery he has already taken the OTA update. To reinstall that OTA update, just reset the phone to factory. No need for all this hassle.

Just fastboot the image.
Tried flashbooting the radio and it failed everytime. Anyone care to make a p98img.zip or whatever it is called and specific name for the max. Those are flashed through hboot.
Or even a flashable zip.

I was just about to post the exact same issue. I'm S-Off, bootloader unlocked, and SuperCID, and running ViperMax 1.0.1, but I get the error: "writing 'radio'... FAILED (remote: not allowed)".
I'd love to get this working.
Was informed this needs to be made a flashable zip through recovery or through hboot.
Fastboot flash won't work with radios.

You do know that is a rom and not the radio alone. If you are using the Verizon max flashing that will kill your imei and you won't be able to register a sim.

You need the radio by itself in a flashable zip after flashing a rooted rom.

Yes, I'm aware, thanks. I just prefer to have the complete packaged RUU on hand for future reference. What I tried flashing via fastboot was just the radio.
