[Q] Samsung YP-G1-CW8ARB Info/Help - Samsung Galaxy Player 4.0, 5.0

Greeting's folks!
So you know what you are dealing with:
OS: Win 7 x64 or Win XP SP3
Device: Samsung YP-G1-CW8ARB ( US )
Firmware: 2.3.5
Kernal: 2.6.35.7-G1UEK18-CL562400
Build: GB-UEKI8
Experience : Flashed/Rooted Samsung SCH-R720 ( MetroPCS )
Background:
Using these forums I rooted/flashed a SCH-R720 that was given to me. so, with that under my belt I thought I'd pick up a YP-G1 and root/flash again, using these forums and well.... didn't turn out as well as the R720.
Bootloop from hell.
Tried all the method's listed here and no dice (Cept the one using Linux but not having it installed made it a tad hard ). But I still had the receipt so, brought it back and now have a new one in box.
Needed:
What I'm looking for is ( I know this is most likely outta order so bare with me )
1: as complete of a back up as one can get while UnRooted. files,partitions & such. with a way to restore said back up.
2: Root Kernel with CWM ( To replace the e3 recovery menu )
3: As complete of a back up I can get after all this is done ( want a before/after )
4: Any tips/tricks for this model.
5: Any info I may have missed.
Again... that list is likely out of order but I think you get the idea.
Step by step would be great!

I would recommend that you check out this thread here for your needs. [REF][03.12.2012]The Samsung Galaxy Player/S Wifi (All Variants) All-In-One Thread It pretty much has everything you could possibly need for modifying and restoring (for the most part) your device.

Thanks but, that was one of the links i had used.
I had used that one when the 1st one bootlooped on me.
[HOW-TO] (YP-G1) Create FULL personal backups for complete restore from a brick ( Requires Linux )
[ROM] {CWM package} [USA / INTL 4.0] Stock rooted + deodexed ROM (base)
This ROM is for the Galaxy Player 4.0. It is almost stock

STeVEs Custom Kernel and ROM for YP-G1 (Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 EU + USA version)
Used STeVE's Kernel 3.0 and superoneclick. ( thats what got me bootlooped the 1st time )

Im looking for a way to do a full stock back up of the device ( And I do mean everything.. at least as much as possible ) with-in a windows based machine, Root/flash a stable Kernel with CWS ( Looking at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736591 )
Anyone with suggestions for a stable Kernel with CWS?
As you can guess, I'm a bit "Gun Shy" atm because of the last bootloop and am trying to avoid it again

First of all let's see what is your device variant. Does it have a capacitive button or a physical one?

I was under the impression that the US variant only had the capacitive button and had no idea that both were available in the US.

But to answer the question: It has the capacitive button.
And nice to have one of the sites Recognized Contributor's lending a hand.
