Why are these files here? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note II

This is a screen shot from my gallery. The 2 folders are non deletable folders . obviously that's the picasa symbol and the pics inside are from my Google + page. I found em and deleted um thru root explorer but they come back. What is bringing them back in. I deleted the Google plus app also.

I believe if you go into settings, click on your Google account, and click on the email address, uncheck the sync picasa at the bottom. I had that album too, but ever since I unchecked that, it hasn't been there.

Under your Google account sync settings, do you have Picasa web albums checked? It's the bottom-most entry for me.

That was it. I just killed it all in one shot. BTW I know you all are super jealous of my s-pen artistic abilities. Its okay I would be jealous too....lol

Not sure what causes this but it's happened to me a couple of times. I removed the account and added it back in.. Took care of it for me.

I also have had this happen. I go back 1 more screen and select priority inbox. It seems that's where they were.

May need to clear data in gmail and resync.
Just log in through the Web interface and delete them there. It is a syncing issue.

I believe it's a lagging issue.
Just wait for few minutes then re-sync.

apps installing in non-standard location...movable?

I've noticed a few user apps that do not install into the standard /data/apps location... ESPN Sportscenter is one, ING Retirement app is another. These apps create their own directory under sdcard instead.
Wondering if there is any way to move the apps into the proper /data/apps location?
You sure its not just storing data there?
The APK itself should be in /data/app/
hmm... That does sound more likely lol. It's not installed at the moment so I can't confirm. Will reinstall and check.
Sent from my SGH-I777 using xda premium
Apps do that so if you reinstall you keep your settings.
I just wish they all stuck it in the same place and not make there own folder in /sdcard/* and keep it in /sdcard/android/data/*
Yep, looks like some image cache...and it's empty even, grr.
I know there is no need for an image here but I've been wanting to test xda app image handling since the update ;-)

file:///android_asset/WebKit/ error

Hey guys,
I've been having an issue with this error in the browser too often lately. I'm not sure why the hell I keep getting it. I've googled, but it seems there are others that have the issue with no fix.
I could switch browsers, but that shouldn't be the fix. I quite enjoy using the stock browser.
Attached is a screenshot of the message I receive.

I remember getting it when trying to view the play store in the browser. Doesn't do it in chrome though.

I think Chrome is pretty slow, and definitely not as smooth as the stock browser. I also don't like how the bar at the top doesn't disappear once you start scrolling.
I wish I could find a fix for this ;(
Turning plug-ins off in the browser settings stop that nonsense.

Try this. Go to Settings > Google then click your email address and then uncheck Picasa album.

If you go onto your Google dashboard on the web then find the Picasa section you can play around with your album and delete/rectify the ones that have a corrupted icon.
