So....I just noticed that 'Hide It Pro" doesn't work on ICS, meaning it only hides the apps.....oh boy and does it hide them.....but you can't unhide/run them anymore.
Any resolution to this problem?!
How do I get those apps back, because I made one fatal mistake, and that was hiding my Super SU app and now if an apps needs root, it can't get it because the Super SU app is nowhere to be found....
I've tried :
- uninstalling hide it pro
- intalling launcher pro and look for the apps in the hidden option
EDIT: Unhide the apps without reflashing of course....
I have no problem with unhiding them, but maybe it doesn't work because you need root access and since you've hidden SU that feature is gone Did you try to delete the apps from Play Store and install them again?

SuperSU is on play store but it says "disabled".

And if you first delete the data of the app before uninstalling Hide It Pro..? (Just an idea, but maybe the apps will be deleted to then... On your own risk)
Otherwise I wouldn't know. Maybe email the developer.

I had to go into CWM and wipe data/factory reset and that brought back the root
I thought I had to re-flash....phew.

Have a unlocked and rooted Nexus 7. Everything was working perfectly till I made the stupid move to clear Data on the superuser app. Now I do not seems to have root access. The apps that require root access does not work now. The Superuser prompt does not appear either..
What have I done and what do I need to do now?...
Go to the superuser app, swipe right and tap 'update su binary'. Then open root apps and see if they ask for permission. Clearing data of superuser app normally doesn't cause anything other than losing the list of permitted apps.

Hello world
So how do i remove Nova Launcher from SlimBean ROM? I tried removing it through SlimCenter but after i exit and come back to slim center Nova is still there. I installed Apex launcher and it is now set to default launcher. Through slim file manager i got to system\app and tried to remove nova from there but it just says Delete Failed.
Any ideas? Thanks!

Ensure that root access is enabled on your Slimbean rom.
This is quoted from slimroms.net:
Root access works in another way in 4.3 then it was before. It is disabled by default. If you want to have root access go into your Superuser application or in Settings->Developer options and enable it. Please note as well that currently some third party kernels are around which may break root.

Once superuser is enabled, try via the Slimsizer again.
If it still fails:
Use a root explorer app from the play store. Any of them will do. Ensure superuser permission is granted, and remove from system\app.

Thanks a million man. Also, in case anyone else needs this, use a cleaning app after erasing Nova(or anything else), and reboot your phone. Remember to have a second launcher installed prior removing Nova.
I prefer disabling (aka freezing) default keyboards and launchers versus uninstalling. If you ever get in a situation with your alternate app you have a fallback you may potentially be able to reenable

You misunderstand. Anything you see from the home screen is the launcher. Without one installed it is just a black screen that you can't do anything with.
If you want that then find the JB launcher somewhere around.
HI. I need help. When I install any aplication from Es Explorer I can open it immediately intallation finish, after that, the apps don't appear on the apps menu or into the carrousel. I can't open the apps again. Please help. Thanks
In the apps menu, did you choose the apps that are on your device to be shown,or just the apps on the cloud?

I had to do a factory reset
the problem continues
I had to unroot, and the problem disappeared, i root the hdx again and now i can´t see the installed apps

You have to remove any duplicate apps from the cloud. Remove anything while on stock rom from the "Cloud" tab in the stock apps drawer or this can happen.
Sometimes I get the pop up that the launcher3 does not work properly and the terminal asks me if I want to close the launcher, I close and everything works fine again, but the other day it came out and the problem was not corrected. Now it's slow, I've tried to erase the data and the launcher cache but it's going slow, some applications do not even open. How can I have the launcher again as before?

It's not root with android 5.1. Even now seems its saying its not space in internal storage but i think its not true. I cant open play store neither. Maybe easy option is restore factory?
Indeed, this is a simple solution... You can try it... If the internal storage is runing out of space and you have not installed anything, there's a high probability that a trojan is involved.
install the virustotal onlinescanner immediately after the factory reset and have the system partition scanned on which the the lauchner is.
Remember: After a Factory-Reset all data and apps are gone...

Yes: 1.) Hope you have a backup before this happend, otherwise perform a backup now 2.) factory reset 3.)Install virustotal (https://www.virustotal.com/de/documentation/mobile-applications/) (i will try to attach the app as zip, unpack on sd and install it, go online an scann).
Sorry, run out of time (my business-job)..

Does the apps where only recongnized by one scanner (the first), the probability is high that FotaProvider and UpgradeSys are false/positive.
Critical can be the Cache Cleaner Super... Launcher3 was not recognized by any scanner?
If you don't need the CacheCleaner, delete it.. and install the rest of you apps...
Also install kaspersky and run a full scan, it works for 30 Days with all options ...

Only with root you can go further and delete this apps... if these apps are really dangerous and belong to the system, then you have a contaminated rom. In this case, you should consider importing a suitable custom rom and then re-installing the smartphone... Or root the phone, kill the processes (if the apps are already runs) and delete the apps with for example root explorer...

im gonna try kaspersky and if not works im gonna restore
Kaspersky couldnt find nothing. There isnt a way without root to close and restart for a moment launcher3, i think the launcher restarted kinda bad and its just that. When appears the pop up if i want to close or wait its the same, i cant force this message again?
You can dowload an other (free) launcher, put it on the sd card and install it (without having the phone online). You can use a pc to download the nova-launcher (https://nova-launcher.en.uptodown.com/android/download) (english version). Then start the nova launcher and switch to "always use nova launcher"...
And when nova launcher is working i can force restart of launcher3 then?
you can try this but this is not recommend... if the launcher3 is infected with malware, the worst scenario will happen again...
Hey mates
I recently rooted my pocophone and before I did that I did a "adb backup –all –f c:\backup.ab"
That worked fine, but now i have some Apps not working which I really need. Mainly a banking app.
So im considering going back to unroot the device.
What would be the correct way to do that? Use Xiaomi Flash Tool and then do the restore or can I do the restore just now?
Also is there a way to backup some apps like google authenticator?
Thanks for the help!

Yes It Will But If It's Still Doesn't Work Then Hide Magisk Manager (By Hiding It Will Repackage The App With An Random Name So Banking And Other Apps Doesn't Detects Root Access) And Re-Install The App Or Clear The App Data (You Doesn't Need To Clear Data/Uninstall And Install The App This Is Just To Make Sure That The App Doesn't Detect Root Access Even When Root Access Hided Apps Like Fortnite Detects Root Access After Hided So You'll Need To Uninstall/Clear App Data)

No. What you are talking about is Magisk Hide in Settings. What I was talking about was Hide Magisk Manager, the fourth option in Settings. This hides Magisk Manager itself by renaming it. You simply click it and you will get a popup saying that the Magisk Manager was renamed as xxxx. Try it.
