"Speed rom" incoming calls issue. - HTC Amaze 4G

I flashed speeed rom on my pbone, I set up a lock screen. When I receive calls it doesn't show who's calling unless I unlock phone first. Anyway to fix that. Usually call will come up and the caller I'd will show and I can answer instead of having to put in lockscreen code first.

So how exactly did you fix this issue?

That's exactly what I want to know. Just about everything else about the from is perfect. Minor bugs.

it's the lock screen issue.. if you want to answer calls over your lock screen you'll have to use a different lock screen.. i think fourth bar had that issue if you didnt use the holo lock screen and you used the stock one...

Lock screen issue?

I'm using lockbot pro to change the mytouch standard lock screen to the froyo style lock screen. The problem is that I still have to unlock the standard screen and then it gives me the froyo to unlock. How do I disable the standard screen so I only get the one I want?

Use WidgetLocker Lockscreen. It is the best 2 bucks I have spent in a long time!! I am rooted but you dont have to be to use it. It does help though. My avatar pic is my lockscreen. I run it with no slider and a time delay on a button unlock it. It has lots of options for several types of lockscreens and other stuff also.
If u want the stock froyo lockscreen just go into system/ apply then delete the htclocksreen.apk and it will restore the froyo lockscreen you don't need nolock or anything else

You need to be rooted and s=off to edit/delete/add anything to the system file. If you are temp rooted and/or s=on you cannot use just the AOSP lockscreen.
I use the app: lock suppresor with the lockbot pro app.
works for me

[Q] Sense 3.0 Lockscreen: What about pattern unlock / pin unlock?

How does the pattern unlock or pin unlock work with Sense 3.0's lockscreen? I wasn't able to find any video on it or anything. Thanks for the help ahead of time!

EDIT: Although xda forums search gave no results, google eventually spit something up. I guess if anyone wants to know:

Yes. They did incorporate it and it works fine. Although I don't like the fact that if you have one set and get a text or something, it still shows on the actual lockscreen :/

Do you mean the indicator for number of messages? Or a popup? Have you tried turning off the "received notification" under settings?

Is there a fix to this if you use the stock message app?
Potential Workaround
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1747794
I have posted a potential workaround for those that dont mind installing SMS Popup from the play store. It works in conjunction with the stock messaging app.
This is the 10th one of these threads. Where are the mods?
There's no fix for this. We all hate it...
My phone must be broken as a text does not "wake-up" the screen. However I would like to know if its possible to wake up the phone with S-voice even if the screen is off ? I can't seem to make it work -

Can't see incoming calls with Hatka... Help?

I have installed the Hatka 2.2 release and the cubed kernel 2.4.2 on top of that, and it seems to run well but when its on the lock screen and a call comes in it rings, but the lock screen appears to be above the caller id screen. So cannot tell who is calling until I slide to unlock the screen.
Anyone else having this issue?

I've found two work-arounds for this issue.
If you use Tasker, just set up a profile with Keyguard Off while state=phone ringing.
The other option is to install Holo Locker from the Play Store. It's basically the stock lockscreen. You get a little lag occasionally, but it works well.

Small gripes so far

So this is my first HTC phone and for the most part I am loving it. However, there are two things that I hate. For starters, on a Phone such as the Galaxy s4 or the iPhone, I am able to view who sent me a text on the lockscreen or who sent me a text even when the phone is secured. Now on the HTC m8, I dont get to see any of that. All I see is the number of notifications above the phone app or the messaging app. Also, I hate the fact that if I go into the texting app to view a few messages but not all of them, it will then clear the icon in the notification panel as well as the indicator above the app icon itself. It really makes it super easy to forget if I had any extra text or not.
Check settings lock screen, the m7 had a lockscreen view that showed texts. Haven't got my m8 yet to see if it's still there.

Try using google handouts instead of the standard texting app
You can view text messages on the lock screen. You have to enable it in the settings.

Go to Settings, then Security and click notification settings under lockscreen. I am using Sense 6.0 on the M7 but it should be the same. I actually liked the way this was handled on Sense 5.5 better than 6.
my g/f got the m8 for vzw.. my only problem which is stupid .. i would like to view screen on time.. with out the use of an app .. nit picking? yes
