Got wet, camera? - HTC EVO 3D

hello, phome got wet yesterday, unplugged battery, let him dry, now evryrhing is working, just camera app dont want to start, no error

More information would help. Are you rooted, what rom, etc. If you are not rooted, do a factory reset. If you are, flash another rom.
However, I can guarantee you the water is the problem, and you probably wont be able to fix it.

Try using another photo app, such as Instagram, just to test that there is no fault with the actual camera.

Happened to me once, my solution was opening the phone completely and putting it on a rice bag for a week

I didnt put it apart, even put in in rice.
And after month and a half (yesterday) camera started working by itself

[Q] Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-i9300T water damaged

Hi everyone, my S3 decided it liked swimming yesterday and fell into a toilet and stopped working. As soon as I got it out, I took the battery out, wrapped it in toilet paper, and left it in the sun for 12 hours. Now, its being detected by my computer, and charges, but the screen stays blank. Is there any way without opening up the phone, as it is still under warranty, that I can fix the screen problem. It was running rooted Samsung 4.3 stock rom and was working fine till it had a swim.
Thanks in advance,

Im afraid leaving it in the sun would of done more harm than that. This keeps the water inside then allows it to evaporate into even smaller gaps then condense back into water when it can't get out. The "correct" i suppose way of doing it is by pulling it apart a much as you can and putting it in rice etc.
Im don't think there is a way to bring the screen back at this point.

So if I clean up the connector inside the phone, it will do nothing? as everything else works, as confirmed through a ADB screenviewer on my PC (litecam Android)

There is defiantly no harm in trying.
Ok, now i'm worried.
I opened my phone up to clean up all the connectors, and now the phone does not even turn on, it just vibrates for a second when plugged in and repeats it every two seconds. Is there any way to fix this? I don't want to have to get a replacement as all my data is on this phone, as before, it was turning on.

[Problem] Camera Not Working

Hi!
I went swimming with my phone with my phone in my pocket and once i realized i took it out and once i got home there was water vapor inside the lens. I just used a hairdryer to get rid of the vapor. Later, when i tried to take a picture, the camera kept fc'ing so i decided to wait overnight to see if it may fix itself and reboot it but none of those worked so i reflashed it on flashtool and it still doesnt work.
Does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
Thanks in Advance,
Harrold

You could try putting the phone into a bag full of rice to allow the rice to absorb any moist in your phone. Remember to open all the flaps to expedite the process.

Water leaked into the Phone

Hey guys, today i think some water leaked inside the phone (i saw 2 water patches inside the camera) and the camera stopped working. (Not accessible as the phone says, + flash isn't working either) any ideas to fix the problem? Or if i'm wrong, what's causing it?
really soryy to hear > should be water resistant. let it dry.
My M4's back is broken, too. I think its glued badly enough. Send your phone to services please, they will fix it. For free of charge if it has warranty.

You should try to put your phone into rice for about 1-2 days, and hope that fixes it (No kidding)
PS:
The phone got fixed by itself (?) camera is working again, i didn't do anything with it, just started working.

I know about rice and thank you for the answer. Just because I didn't want it to happen again, I sent my phone to services.

camera not working

So, here's what happened: I dropped my phone in a bucket of water, but got it out really fast and turned it off immediately. Now, I let it dry completely and it works fine, except that the rear camera doesn't. I can read it's info on AIDA64, but the camera by itself won't work. In the default camera app it gives me a error that it can't connect to the camera.
I did open the phone and let it dry like that and I even wanted to disassemble it completely, but stopped halfway and put it back together. Now, I did unplug the rear camera, but I plugged it back in and there was no water on the camera or that part of the motherboard and ever since I can use it again, the rear camera doesn't work anymore. Tried to unplug and plug it back in again to get it to work, but no luck.
Anyone have any idea how to fix it?

Maybe you should buy another sensor..

Well, sure, I'm just trying to figure out if the camera itself is broken and not working or if it's the board that messed something up.
Easiest way to find out would be swapping working camera sensor from another Redmi with yours. Good look with that, water damage is the worst
I'll look into it, thanks for the help guys.

amazfit stratos shuts down

Hello to everyone, a few days ago my watch started shutting down after a while, sometimes write after boot and sometimes after 5 or 10 minutes or so. I tried reverting to stock settings (factory reset) also sync it with a new account from other phone, I even installed Everest Rom and still it shuts down after a few minutes. Also sometimes it gets very hot, all over the watch not only at the bottom or the front glass.
The watch is in my possession for around 1,5 year and it is the international version.
Same behavior, is the result of water geting in...
How is that possible , it is water resistant!?
Did you open it easily?

It was used a year, never taken off the hand unless charging., so it got into sea swiming, hot showers/baths, everything, and i did not kept it in clean water for 10 min, or what the manual says... . So all that chemicals and salt afected the seals ...
It was opened by the service guys, i sent it for waranty, which they ofcourse void it (apparantely no device is covered by waranty if liquides get inside them ... ?!?)
I will try to test if is fixable by my self.... with no water resistance...
Thank you my friend for your time and answers, I will try to open it and see if this is wrong with my watch too. Last year after every swim I did clean it up but this year I never did so maybe this is what happened to mine also.
My problem was not from getting water in

Can't really tell from the image, but it looks like there is some corosion/oxidation on the capacitors near the sensor ? (seems like some green/blue colored contacts). If so, maybe try to gentaly clean it, it could make electrical contact between components that should not be in contact.
Also look at the battery and see if there is any visible damage to it
... my battery is 0 volts, and a little puffy, i will try to see if it takes charge.
If yours got extremely hot as mine did, pls consider the safty issues of the situation

I think you are wright my friend, I 'll get back home and see it more closely and try to clean it up and see if that helps.
Well you were wright about sensor
I tried to clean as good as I could but with no luck , I also checked the battery and it seemed ok to me.
Then I decided to cut the sensor power by cutting the cable that connects to it and then booted up the watch and everything is working fine ,no shutdowns, no overheating problems and no battery consumption at all. I guess that the sensor is no longer working at all and it isn't anymore waterproof but at least I have a fully functional watch until i decide what to do. Thanks again for pointing out the corrosion-oxidation of the sensor. The only thing I cannot comprehend is how did that happen to the sensor capacitors, since there where no moisture inside the watch!?!?
Thanks again my friend!
