Ok, i flashed in my xperia sola ics 4.0.4, but it is so laggy. So, i want to go back to gingerbread. I have already found the rom i want to flash, but, it is in .img format. I googled for it first, found something but i cannot understand the precedure. So, can someone explain to me how to flash it?
U found a whole rom in jz. Img??
Hehehe thats nt possible
.img files contains kernels I guess
Along wid recovery
Still I will tell u how to flash. Img
Use flashtool
Swtich of ur sola
Connect ur switched off sola to usb by holding the volume up Button ( fastboot mode)
Now go to flashtool
Click on thunder icon
Select fastboot
Now u will have a optiob of select kernel to flash
Just select ur img file
And its done
Bt .img is never a rom by itself
If u could let me knw what u found
I could help u btr

I used the ka02 rom for Xperia sola(gingerbread), which you can find in sola rom index in xda forum.
Also, flashtool says that I have to install drivers while I have them all installed via its app

doing it myself but I can't seem to do it. Please help........
U r not flashing properly
Keep ur phone off
Go to flashtool
Press thunder

Nw click on flash
Flashtool will ask u to connect ur phone

those are .ftf files, on those files i also found 'kernel.sin'(opening with winrar). so to go back in stock kernel would i hav to flash .ftf (in flashmode) or hav to flash kernel.sin(in fastboot mode)??
Since it is kernel.sin and not boot.img so u'll have to flash it using flashmode and you can see how it's done in the tutorial(link which I provided)....

yes u can go back to stock kernel....but ur cwm will be lost...
u can find the stock rooted kernels here....

I flashed the generic ftf file via flashtool n i got stock rom+ stock kernel is it the right way? And what if i extract "kernel.sin" from generic and flash it with fastboot mode(as fastboot support flash .img & .sin),is this way possible?( In this way i can go back to stock kernel without loosing custom rom)

You can just flash the kernel.sin in flashmode and u'll not lose ur rom....(I think so)

Thnx for the suggestion but no ROM can be flashed at this situation as usb debugging is not enabled by default in any of the ROM. Flashtool says Flash Aborted.
Try changing kernel which support otg for example Mesa ICS? Then connect the phone with a mouse and see if it work and flash stock rom again ?
