not sure...but if you are properly rooted, perhaps just reflashing whatever current kernel you are on will cure that (and the proper modules). Not 100% sure that is the cure, but from flshing various Mods, kernels and rooted applications which "killed" my phone, whenever I used my nandroid to get back to a normal place I have had to reflash the kernel to make WiFi work
I'm having the same problem. I'm running a stock kernel, please reply if that works for you.
I've searched the problem the only thing I could come up with was to re flash the kernel but since Im running the stock kernel and haven't flash another in the first place that doesn't help me much.

Ok, i got a LOT figured out with this phone last night. It seems that if you flash a custom kernel WITHOUT flashing the modules that go with that kernel in recovery, then you'll lose wifi and possibly some other stuff.
I had flashed a custom kernel and not correctly flashed the modules with it so therefore i lost wifi.
To fix this, simply reflash the kernel in fastboot and then go DIRECTLY into recovery from teh bootloader and flash the modules, then simply reboot. There's no need to wipe and cache or dalvik cache.
If you HAVEN'T flashed any custom kernel then just look for the stock kernel modules on this forum (a simple search will yeild results) and ket the unsecured stock kernel too and flash them and you'll be set to go.
Hope this helps you guys out

So I have installed CWM, flashed the kernel to the DooMKernel, updated the wifi modules and attempted to install all of the custom ROMs out there. Every tine I get past istalling the ROM, I go into a reboot loop at the splash screen, almost like a kernel panic or something. Any thoughts or assistance? It could just be a dumb n00b move, as this is the fist time I have attempted to play aroubd with an Android device.
Thank you!
have you tried a factory reset before flashing the rom?

The first boot after flashing a custom ROM takes a while as the dalvik cache was cleared. Give it time. But you should have:
unlock bootloader
root using doomlord's method
flash(install) doomlord kernel
flash wifi module from doomlord
make nandroid backup of current rom(optional but always a good idea to practice backing up data)
wipe cache and dalvik cache
wipe data
install zip from sd card
reboot
(I think I listed everything lol, I'm at work proctoring an exam)
Those are the basic steps. Check out the forums for the exact steps in flashing the kernel and wifi module. If you need more help after running through this list, PM me.

First of all, the ONLY "custom" ROM for the Jetstream is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422413. So please clarify your statement about installing all of the custom ROM's out there?

so far only one rom out there.
disconnect the USB cable and try to boot. sometimes that keeps it in the infinite loop.
Jetstream
Hi guys, I'm very new to my Jetstream and all the android world, I managed to root it and everything but when doing calls on the GSM network there is no sound, I tried using wireless headsets, wired ones and even speakerphone but no luck, any ideas about it?? I'm guessing that on the build.prop file where I enable the gsm calls must be something else that I need to activate in order to get sound. regards and sorry for the long post
its not working yet. your not the only one...
There is more than one ROM for the jetstream at the moment- four to be exact. Check the development forum.
I am trying to go back to stock and I am able to flash the stock rom however wifi does not work, I have tried relocking the bootloader and running the RUU exe that was provided in another thread however that fails even if i am on another rom such as Beasmod. Is there anything i can do to get wifi working again? I have searched the forum for a day or two now and I cannot find a good answer.
Thanks everyone

kernel issue, each provider seems to have a little tweak in their own kernel, or something to that effect.
common problem that still hasn't been adressed in the forums, I have found a solution, go to development http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1308078. and download your corresponding rom zip file...in the rom zip file, there should be a boot.img file, extract ONLY that file and use it in xboarders kernel flasher to reflash your kernel and reboot...get back to me...this should solve your problem..
Yes I did
Sent from my HTC Amaze 4G using XDA App
This worked perfectly, i didnt use the easy kernel flasher as i seem to have issues running .bat files on my work computer, so i just entered the commands manually. Thank you very much
deleted repeat mistake
Keep getting install failed /system and /data. No os found
what ROM are you trying to install? how did you install TWRP?
by the way, the way it works on this phone is that the recovery is packaged with a kernel. whatever the kernel has, you're stuck with. unless you flash a kernel that has an alternative recovery (example: one of hhp's Devil TWRP kernels) you can't just flash a recovery. so maybe you have a bad flash if you tried doing that.
Also you need to quit spamming every spot in the fascinate fourms.
there are only maybe a dozen of us real active, we can read your posts.
I've explained over and over the process,
Keep on reading, reading and then read some more.
Very thankful for all the help

there are a few radios for the fascinate. the gingerbread radios are EH03 (the one you have right now from the official VZW OTA, i use this one and am ok with it), EC09 (from an old gingerbread leak, some people prefer this radio over the others). i know there's other radios but the only older one you should probably use is ED05 from an old Froyo OTA.
thanks. this upgrade help alot though. have to test yuoube app.also was having issue with that too.
Hello, all. I just tried to update my S5 to Lollipop without making a nandroid first (my lazy noobness is showing) and it didn't work. I tried to use TWRP to get back to stock, but the new kernel is preventing that change from occurring. All the sources for the stock S5 kernel I've tried are dead links. Can anyone help me out? I don't think it will matter which stock kernel I use, as long as it's a Samsung kernel, right? If I can flash a stock kernel, I'm hoping I can do a data reset on the phone and start over. Thanks.

I'm fairly new to rooting and flashing kernels so sorry if I'm ignorant about all this. I have the latest version of TWRP (3.0.2-0). I would install the latest BluSpark zip (r128), wipe the data and cache and then format them into F2S2 and the phone would reboot fine. However, if I try and reboot the phone or turn it off and turn it back on again I just get stuck at the bootloading animation. Is there any advice or anything I do to prevent this? Did I install something wrong or using the wrong version of something? Thanks in advance for any and all help!

Your title seems like bluspark have some kind of problem, but that's not the case. You should change that; the kernel works flawless and the problem is clearly you that doesn't know what you're doing. Read and learn from guides, videos and everything else before going flashing around.
And, of course, search. There are threads out there pointing out how to unbrick your phone and solve this kind of mistake.
(and you may have flashed the kernel for CM13, not the OOS kernel...)

My apologizes if it seemed like I was implying or insinuating that something was wrong with the kernel, I was only stating it so that it would provide the necessary information for those at were interested in troubleshooting and saving them the hassle of asking. This is my first Android device, and first time rooting and I don't think it would be inappropriate to ask for a slight bit of patience. Again, I did not mean to imply something was wrong with the kernel, I am fairly certain it is something of my doing that I can (hopefully) repair.
Is there any guide that you would recommend specifically for the BluSpark kernel? I know for certain I donwloaded and installed the OOS version so I know that's not an issue.
I think you have to use an older version of twrp to flash this kernel. The recommended version of twrp is 2.8 I believe maybe this is your problem but I'm not sure since I am using cm13 based rom with this kernel.
Go dig through the Blu_Spark thread, I'm pretty positive he said he will never support using F2FS as no one's shown that it's either better or worse than EXT4 which has been trusted for years.

You did a couple of things wrong. When you flash the kernel there is no need to wipe data. You basically reset your phone. Also, formating to f2fs after you flash the kernel will also wipe data and therefore reset the phone.
Your best bet is to start over from factory rom and kernel to get the phone to boot right and then do some research and reading before you start changing kernel and partition formats.
Search the question and answer forums for restoring to factory settings.
Good luck.
I have the same issue. after flashing latest build of blu_spark, phone stuck on boot screen .. i tried latest TWRP and Blu_Spark TWRP in his download section, neither worked for me. I did not format f2fs as I would like to keep it the same EXT4 .. any ideas how to solve this issue?
