I do not believe you will find a link for a pre-rooted copy of 4.0.3r5. Even if you did find one, it would not work for you. You must download the 4.0.3r5 file then pre-root and install it yourself by using Condi's ALLinONE tool. There is a lot more going on in the pre-root and install process than just flashing your tablet with a custom_update_signed.zip file.
Your other option is to do a normal update/install of 4.0.3r5 and then root it after it has been installed by using the method originally posted by WonderEkin.

Not yet for UK, keep an eye on my update thread... Update links are usually in there within a day
You could always use AIO tool to change to US region....

What I mean was that you could ask in another thread.
As already mentioned, the best thing to do is update and then root (you can even change your build.prop and install US update. It's was my case, I'm from Portugal).
The pre-rooted file it's possible, because I've update (from honeycomb) my tablet like that. with condi tool I was not able to create the signed update file.
OP how did you root your UK Sony Tab S? I'm on 1a and have tried everything just no luck. Any ideas?

I wanna root my sony ericsson active (st17i) on version 4.0.4, 4.1.b.0.587, ICS, so I downgraded to GB, 4.0.2.a.0.42 . I used doomlord v4 at first but it gave me an error that the abd server was out of date...killing, so I went to flashtool and tried rooting with that but then for exploit part 1 it said 'waiting for device, after 60 sec force stop' or something, so after a min it gave me an error saying forced stop (or somting like that can't remeber exactly) I tried it several times but always an error, can someone help me? My bootloader is NOT unlocked btw. Thanks, sorry for bad english

Hi,
have you read the tutorial for rooting in this forum?
mihahn made a very good tutorial, I've just rooted my xperia active (ST17i) 2 hrs ago and it worked really well! No errors in any logs!
I've got firmware 4.1.B.0.587, I followed tutorial for .587, it link a thread in sony mobile forum (I can't link it 'cause I'm a noob ).
I didn't downgraded to .42 , just flashed a 4.1.A.0.562 kernel and after rooting (with doomlord's rootkit) re-flashed the stok firmware 4.1.B.0.587.
The entire procedure took me about 15 minutes, but I've installed/checked adb drivers, flashtool, etc, days ago.

Did that , didn't work, I hate my pc
Guys, I want some help.
I just upgrade my Xperia U using Pc Companion and I got this Firmware 6.1.1.B.1.54
I tried to Root via Flashtool, via Byn4ry root files and nothing worked.
Can anyone provide me a link where I can root my sweat Phone?
Thanks in advance
To root that firmware you need to first flash B.10 kernel then Root and then again .54 kernel
Flash only Kernel of 6.1.1.B.1.10
Root with Bin4ry V13 (New version doesn't work)
Once rooted, flash only kernel from the .54
Can i flash kernels with locked bootloader?

You need to flash 6.1.1.B.10 in order to root ur phone
1) flash b1.10 kernel via flashtool (dont wipe anything, exclude everthng except kernel)
2) root via flashtool or bin4ry
3) flash 6.1.1.B.54 kernel back

Whenever you manually flash a stock firmware either 2.3 or 4 u have to root it again. Don't flash the whole rom, just flash the b.10 kernel, root using bin4ry, and again flash just .54 kernel.
bin4ry

Ok......all done!
In case anybody else is having the same problem this is what i did.
I used bin4ry on my up to date unrooted xperia U. Android version 4.0.4 build 6.1.1.B.1.10.
I was getting errors saying "adb server out of date" but i left it to go to the end anyway.
restarted my phone but when it came to enter my password for my sim card the screen was faded. so i re-flashed the up to date android version again making my phone unrooted again!
then tried bin4ry again and this time it worked without any adb errors and restarted the phone to find that i have superuser app and all is good.
Thanks for previous posts offering help..

Good. You should always check the drivers if they are installed correctly or not.
-Connect your device to PC
-Open Flashtool.
-Goto Help, Check drivers.
-List of ADB devices must be present.
when loading the b 10 kernel into the flashtool,do i also have to put loader sin into the firmware on flashtool aswell?
Guys i need help... I cant root my xperia u 6.1.1.c.1.0... i have tried all the ways...

i tried with the last one.
i am in Greece.. if i flash it with the stock ICS 6.1.1.C.1.0 file which i found here and it's from T-mobile Croatia, i think that my sim will not work..
My XU is simlocked with Orange - Poland and works great with any region ROM (sometimes GPS needs fixing). Have you tried ADB restore root method from Flashtool? For some reason bin4ry never works for me, but Flashtool one (isn't it the same script?) always works.
Cheers.

Yes, do the update. It should update to Android OS Version 4.1.1 Release 2.
To gain root access, use Condi's S.onyTablet.S [ALLinONE] Tool.
