Has anyone else experienced home button lag? Disabling Google Search slightly helped, but I'm still noticing significant lag. Running the stock ROM.

My home key is also very snappy, with no discernible lag. I'm running completely stock (unrooted) as well.
there's definitely a lag.. not as bad as the gs3, but it takes a second or so to register back to home.
how many things do you guys have on your screen?? my theory is that the more on the screen, the more lag going home. there's never launcher redraw, so maybe that's senses way of doing it. Instead of redrawing everyone you go home, it just takes a little longer. all of my screens are filled with icons or widgets lol

Yeah, definitely not as bad as the gs3. I wanted to throw mine before I figured it out was because of S-Voice. I only have three home screen with a total of five widgets. I would figure that with 2gb of ram and a quad that it wouldn't be necessary to lag like that. Going to try a different launcher and see.
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
anyone else still noticing this? i mean, it's kind of annoying me lately lol so i want to know if everyone's is like this, which i would assume it is. it's not as instant as the S3 with S-voice turned off..it's about as laggy as the S3 with s-voice turned on.
It's instant for me, I'm running Clean Rom, 1728 oc, with Launcher Pro.

hmm, perhaps it's the sense launcher itself.
I've been using LauncherPro all these years and never noticed it hasn't been updated since 2011 so I just switched to Nova and it's just as snappy.
Maybe it's Sense that seems not as fast.
yeah its most likely the sense launcher. no biggie. lol

I use Swype beta downloaded from their website. I can't ever get used to stock keyboard.

Back when i was on my Inspire I flipped back and forth between the stock keyboard and SwiftKeyX
On the Amaze it's been stock all the way, partially because I'm too lazy to reinstall SwiftKeyX, and partly because it annoyed me when SKX would randomly choose when to place spaces and periods in.
It was kinda fun typing 1 letter and tapping space and watching what sentences SwiftKeyX would come up with lol
smart keyboard pro
I used to use go keyboard hardcore, then went though this phase of having 8 keyboards at once. Always found myself reverting back to stock though sometimes I let the others out to play.
Opinion: Stock

+1 for stock.

The sense 4 keyboard from Eclipze's roms completely owns. He didn't seem too interested in sharing it outside of his roms though (no disrespect man, just a fact, all is well though because I ended up loving super sayan). It should be noted that I've altered my font, so picture this with normal font and that's what it looks like lol

Not at all lol. Tried absolutely everything possible to no avail before I finally gave up and made the switch to super sayan. Only reason I was hesitant to do so was because the (very nice looking) orange and green theme clashed with my preferred blue elements that I use religeously all around... But the combo didn't end up being that bad and was made even cleaner when I flashed a theme that's working with it just fine. This Rom is actually extremely solid and I'm pretty happy with it =)

Ok so I was testing out Google Chrome with the html test by Microsoft and every time that I attempt to test the speed reading my phone freezes up. I'm not sure why it does this and was curious if anyone else was having this issue. The html test works fine on Google chrome on both my laptop and ipod touch. Also I'm running ARHD 3.0 ROM.
From my experience Chrome on the amaze has been laggy at best. I have a transparent notif bar, and that creates issues. As well as not being faster or as smooth as the ROM browser app

...have you ever run spb. It has its own display setting called tablet. Not dependent on dpi. I don't think he was inquiring about dpi based tablet switch.
Also I'm much too lazy to download it and report even though I own it. So lazy.

Thanks for all the input everyone. I have apex running at the moment. I own spb and it looked great on the s2 but I didn't know if it would be worth leaving apex for on the note.
If you do a search on SPB Shell or messages I posted and you'll find some messages and screen shots I left of SPB shell after the latest update. Seem the latest update reduced the resolution in tablet mode and I finally wound up going back to a previous version I DL'ed off the net. It runs good on the note though, it's one of the 1st apps I DL'ed when I got my phone.
