To flash alliance kernel unlocked boot loader is required.....as you're on stock 4.0.4,just root your neo install cwm and flash pureness rom followed by the fix for your phone( step by step instruction is already given by thilinac in his post)

You stuck at boot logo(with locked bl) when you don't follow these instruction precisely. This method is already tested on all 2011 xperia hdpi locked bl devices and all works fine.
4.Format /system (in mounts and storage)
5.Format /cache
6.Format /Data
8.Install patch for your phone model

Ok thank.I think i will stay with Pureness rom which so far is great:laugh:
I have been using Jelly Sandwich 6.2 on my Neo V, with CWM based recovery 5.0.2.7 (locked bootloader)
but now I want to re-install another rom, is there a need to re-flash the kernel ?
Can I change another recovery, such as Clockworkmod Recovery Touch or any other one?
ON THE OTHER HAND, I TRIED SOME ROMS BUT WITHOUT CHINESE, (A) PURENESS (B) ICS REVOLUTORY HD
WHICH ROMS SHOULD YOU SUGGEST FOR ME?
You just need to flash the new rom with full wipes..format etc..
no need to re-flash kernel..
and bout recovery use CWM 5.5.0.4..use xParts to install..CWM touch has some bugs last time i checked dont know if they've been solved now..

I don't think there's a CWM touch for this device.
If you want to flash another ROM, flash the recommended kernel ( for unlocked BL) or use stock kernel itself (for locked BL).

Ok. Flashed the version 1.
No Bootloops or Anything.
Booted in to recovery by pressing vol down button on sony screen as directed by thebrainkafka. Touch works the same way as in munjeni's kernel.
But the system update notification still persists, says a new firmware 6.1.1.B.1.54 available.
I was running on Stock Indian 6.1.1.B.1.54 with munjeni's kernel v5 prior flashing this.
