Dear developers and romporters.
Is it possible to port/build an Samsung rom in anyway S3 preffered ofcourse. i love the animation/framework and ui is nice and smooth. Just like the teamdirt remics version orsomething. Maybe there is a JB version now and i and i gues many more would love too see such JB rom for our beloved X10i soon by one off you great devs here.
If its even possible.
And if someone can explain exactly how too port such JB roms that would be great. I like to push my x10i to the edge and try new stuff.
Like i got 1080p HD , 720p HD and 480p SD mode in video camera but without record bar/sound and cant view my videos but they are in DCIM camera folder. Maybe missing backdropper files Media/Video/ Android in space etc. , or maybe the .fw files which are present in some roms in etc/firmware folder i dont know for sure but i remember something like that. And i dont have any of those files located in the roms i used JB based ofcourse.
Any heads up about possible port/build would be nice.

I'm just looking for the most stable ics rom for my ray. One where at least the camera, music player and wifi work as I use it more like a media player/web browser since I got my mm#6 error. Ps I prefer something of the more vanilla variety.

I already have CM7 on there but not into the random reboots and awful battery. Also have clockworkmod recovery so links with a .zip would be great

Does anyone know of any roms specifically for the Galaxy Player 5.0 US Version (YP-G70) that are Jelly bean based? I can't seem to find any on here that say they are for my device, but maybe im missing something, which I tend to do a lot. If anyone knows any, thanks. (by roms, i mean non-glitchy roms) Of course, all roms are glitchy, but i mean stable roms, not development versions...
Stable + Jelly Bean = non existent. You can get CM10 here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1868607 but rotation, sound bluuetooth, gps and camera aren't working.

That's the thing, I use my player MAINLY for music, so no sound is unacceptable.
You could always use CM9. Most of the functionality is there and music works fine

For non GB roms use supermaster rom or paranoid..but u can make GB rom smoth with some effort.

Oh, yeah. I'm using that now. I love it, to be honest. Google Talk doesn't work, but I never used it, and the camera doesn't work, but I don't take pictures with this anyway...

There is no official motorola released ics for the atrix. There is an unofficial motorola released ics for the atrix. The unofficial release has been modified by various developers and is usable, with some small bugs (battery drain, hot temp, camera issues). All bugs are known, but not always present.

In addition, i recommend that you look at the atrix android development page before asking a question like this.

didnt worked with the GB atrix, AOSP or Blur, it work on none.
but now that we have ICS, leak or Aosp, the blur launcher from the new Razr family works on them and is a lot cooler than the stock and others around, and definetly worth the check.
( and still a stock moto launcher, as you want. lol)
Only on the origenal 4.0.4 released version
Hi!
The Problem at first, the hymn later
I've flashed Zelly Cream 5.0 on my Mini Pro (sk17i / mango) and now I have wrong permissions displayed in Play Store and in Settings -> Apps.
For Example:
Apex has permissions of "Allows application to retrieve internal state of the system...", "Allows an application to turn on debugging...", "Allows application to receive an process wap messages...", "Allow an application to forcibly stop other application...", "allows an application to turn on debugging for another application...", "allows an application to enable the car mode...", "allows an application to forcibly stop other applications...".
No word about "can call numbers like it want" like seen in stock rom.
When I look at the permissions with android assistant I can see "Call Phone" with seems to be right.
Anyone else with this problem? It's really bad if searching for new apps with less rights.
I run Zelly Cream 5.0 Reincarnation with both vengeance and mesa kernel and the framework fix applied. Problem appears on both kernels. (ok, i don't think it has anything to do with the kernel...)
So far my (I think) last probelm with Zelly Cream. Tell me if you have a fix or need more information or local tests. I'm no android developer, but linux developer so some shell tests are no prob
Now the very good points!
Zelly Cream is REALLY GREAT WORK!
The MiniPro runs smooth (nearly as fxp) and the camera is actually working great with good quality again.
The power consumption is a little bit better than on normal stock.
I had a problem with the german layout on my device but could fix ist with the help of the forum by _not_ using the Stock keyboard (doesn't work for me at all, quits immediatly after popping up) editing the keychars and keylaout. Works really great now!
All other probs I've seen are only eye candy and already discussed in the developer forum so I hope it'll be fixed in the next release.
I don't like the launcher because I want to have static desktop images. So I installed apex and all is fine (my very own problem).
If now only the permissions would be displayed right this would be my next all-day-rom.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
greetings,
Tobias
It is normal. There is nothing to worry about. I think it's framework related. I am using the ROMS of the developer of Zelly Cream for MDPI before and I did experience that. Nothing will happen to your phone. If you feel unsecure with that then try another ROM

I'm relly feel insecure if I dont know about the nedded permissions before installing an app.
Any suggestions for a good mod? Your are using xNXT, are you happy with it?
I've tried FXP and some other CM Variants so far but because of the camera-lib-topic they are all bad for me. The stock cam is ok for daily use, the cm-Cam isn't.
So I looked around for stock-based mods and came to ZC.
The Zelly Cream is the first Rom I found with good a good cam and video quality and also nice performance...
greetings,
Tobias
XNXT is a good one. It uses the stock camera app of Sony. You can try installing Cybershot MOD of Rizal Lovins for good camera.

Download the Cybershot MOD in that post. It was resigned by me to make it run on xNXT.

I think Zelly Cream uses the Cybershot MOD for Camera. But really, there is nothing to worry about that permissions

You can also try the Original Z1 Honami ROM. It is also a good ROM. Right now I am using SJB.

Hi!
It seems that the author of ZC doesn't care about permissions at all. He has tried to reproduce my problem but couldn't on his phone, so there's perhaps no way to debug and so solve this issue...
xnxt seems indeed great and thank you for the pointers to the cybershot mod. Looks great now an I'll fiddle around a bit with the tons of options...
Also I'll have a look for Honami, thank you for the hint.
btw... Have a nice xmas
greetings,

I wouldn't refer to it as an overload, but yeah, ICS is quite the laggy OS. However, I'd suggest you try the different ICS-based ROMs in the development section. Many have proven to be smooth.
I don't think it is as much laggy as u say. But yes it lags more than GB so I now have kitkat beanstalk that's an awesome very much customizable cyanogen 11 based rom. I really advice u to get beanstalk 4.4
