Why wont the device update to .18? I downloaded the firmware from their site and get error 22 every time I try to update my device. This is bullcrap, first I couldn't OTA now I can't even manually update.
Says this exactly:
The system update failed. (22)
The application is not compatible with the device ROM.
The system is restored to previous configuration.

And before some jackass says I have the wrong ROM(US,WW,etc). I have US the correct one I have used for every single update.
Anyone?
Did you modify /system with anything? Edited build.prop, deleted crapware, etc?
Did you unzip it? There is a zip inside of a zip. You need to unzip it once.

Same problem here.
Can't unlock bootloader, Lost root several updates ago, can't restore root. Never even seen an OTA, always had to apply updates manually in the past (after a wipe) but fails with latest update (system update failed. 22).
My motherboard was swapped out after a previous RMA but my serial number is correct in system settings.

Can you guys all check your logs and see if we all fail with the same problem (in my case it says SKU size error, though I don't understand how come). Look in \cache\recovery\last_log
Code:
I:dec_rule: 10 4 2 18 0
I:dec_version: 10 4 2 17 0
I:check SKU & version pass
Installing update...
Check : blob size = 818942949
[COLOR="Red"]512MB ROM device but update 768MB images[/COLOR]
Installation SKU size error.
I:result_code: 80000016
Check and format /storage to vfat if needed...
Done.
I:timed out waiting for key input; rebooting.
Success!!!
OK guys, I got it sorted - at least for the US version. The b$£@%ds still haven't got the correct downloads on all of the ftp sites!!! Only the smaller one (319,948KB extracted) from the Global site (that's the one you don't use the akmai downloader) will work.
Looks like they realised this yesterday, pulled the wrong files but some drongo uploaded the wrong ones again!
Hope this helps at least some of you to get updated.
Thanks Asus for wasting all my time.
EDIT: Be careful guys. In all the excitement I didn't realise I have lost root. Voodoo Rootkeeper backup folders seem to have been wiped . Pretty sure I did everything right but it's all been wiped :crying:.

Hi folks,
Im new to this forum and i might have solved the random reboot problem. Mine is working fine for the last two hours and normally it would reboot at least twice every hour. Still have to keep monitoring though.
Like most of you, i have updated the prime to ICS OTA and suffered from random reboot ever since. Due to the quality of primes wifi, i though perhaps some system files got corrupted while downloading.
I downloaded the same firmware from asus' website on my pc and performed the update manually using a SD card. Prime allows you to install a firmware version that is already installed. Problems seems to be solved now......
Go to: Service.asus.com/TF201_fwupdate. You will find the instructions there.. No OTA updates for me anymore!
FYI, for rooted users, this will not only unroot, but also break Voodoo OTA rootkeeper. Although there are ways to root even the newest Asus firmwares, this may not hold true in the future.

Just unzip to the upmost level of the SD card. No need to even look at what files it includes. But yes, just download to your desktop (PC), then right-click and choose extract files, then select your SD card.

Yes, I have factory reseted and still no luck. It is rooted through the toolkit with ota off.

I tried turning on the OTA with the .94 toolkit and then launching an episode. Still same error "We're experiencing a problem playing this video. No no this is fairly simple , you never told me which system you're on so just go grab the bin file that matches up with your system I believe you said you roll back to the 13.3.1.0 ? Simply grab that Bin file again put it on your device open file explorer and rename it .zip boot into safestrap boot into stock system wipe cache and a basic factory reset . Flash your renamed Bin file /a flashable version of superuser ie root. Boot , skip set up install xposed framework the HDXposed module initialize module reboot . Set your tablet up .Bam hope that helps.

I am currently on software version 3.09.605.2. Verizon just forced downloaded a new firmware update to me. The question I have is: is it safe for me to apply it. I have the TWRP custom recovery installed and used Sunshine to unlock and S Off my max. Will applying this update hose me over in any way?
Update to my post.
I decided to try the update after talking to the folks in the Sunshine support forum (I installed Sunshine last year to unlock and S off ).
I have TWRP installed as a custom recovery and when the OTA tried to apply, I received the following error:
Updating partition details...
...done
Full SELinux support is present
Processing AOSP recovery commands...
Unable to locate zip file '[email protected]}@yBugwGuAtA'.
Installing '[email protected]}@yBugwGuAtA'...
Checking for MD5 file..
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file douns
E:Failed to sysMapFile '[email protected]}@yBugwGuAtA'
E:Error installing zip file '[email protected]}@yBugwGuAtA'
Done processing script file
MTP Enabled
I rebooted the phone and everything seems to be working normally, but the OTA obviously did not install. Anyone have a tip as to what I can to to get it to install?

My sprint one is annoying me to flash the update. I'm debating on not as I don't have an issue with my one max except a hardware / software bug that plagues all the HTC One Max's on sprint... ( using bluetooth for streaming sounds works fine but if I use it for calls it will freeze my wifi internet connection but using a dinosaur wired headset for calls doesn't kill the wifi on the phone)
I can't remember what to freeze in titanium either to get around the nag screen to update..
Has there been a flashable zip created Yet? I have the update prompt for about two weeks now on Sprint One max

I erased the otapkg.zip in the cache/fumo and renamed otacerts.zip to otacerts.zip.bak in the etc/security
Worked for 3-4 days.
Every few days ill get the pop ups and go back into fumo and erase the otapkg to make the pop up go away.
I don't care so much about apply it, but would like to figure out a way to block the ota pop up

Besides I tried A4 when A1 failed with the same result.

That happened to me the 1st time I sideloaded the mid-nov update, it read the img but failed installing it.
Turned out that simply switching from the front left USB 2.0 to the front right USB 2.0 of my PC solved it and I was able to sideload properly. No idea how or why that would make a difference though but I guess that's technologie for you

Rumor has it that if you sideloaded the mid-november update (037) you won't get an OTA at all.
No idea if that applies to you but if it does you should consider using the flash tool to see whichever update it shows you as Default, then sideload that one. That way future updates should be OTA again (as long as you're not rooted).

Yea V0latyle was faster lol - you need to use Chrome for that link though (or maybe Edge too), Firefox etc aren't supported.

Any threads relating to the no OTA rumours?

Check this sub forum, there are 1 or 2 that are about the December update and I'm pretty sure users in both mentioned it somewhere.
If you flash 037 update you won't get ota for December update.
But it's better to stay on November patch level.
I'm on December and have bad connection.
