I updated my GS3 I9300 OTA to JB 4.1.1 but forgot to hard-reset the device before updating !!
I came to know that the device updated OTA without hard-reseting it prior to update doesn't work smoothly as it should & that's what exactly happened in my case !!
If i hard-reset it now will it make any difference ??? Help me guys !!!!

It sems you post is rather confusing .
You have an OTA update that does not work well .
Then try a factory reset that fails flash a stock rom via Odin or contact Samsung .

I know that some of the random non brand name devices I've used, I could just use an adb shell and get root. But this isn't true for everything. As for rom cooking and recovery, that's a whole nother beast.

hi. the current os version is 2.3.4 . you can update by turn on wifi and wait for 1 hour . about 220mb .

please can some one try help me i have spent last month nearly going mad looking for Xperia S (LT26)
1257-4528 .
I was stupid i flashed with out knowing it had to be same SI 1257-4528 ,
now flashed abt 6 other FTF
files and still camera does not work even locked boot loader unrooted and
tried the ota repair and no idea where i can find this file
most common fault is Camera is not available
or
com. sonyericsson.android.camera not available .

Likely a hardware thing. Apply for RMA. Flashing other region firmwares is perfectly safe.
Hi i'm new here and i doesn't know if it's the right place for my problem but i installed the aokp 4.1.1 rom and now i doesn't have any contacts i doesn' have any app i doesn't have something on my phone google ay is also gone.. I know that it's because i made this factory wipe but thats not the only problem.. I can not enanle the w-lan and i when i wanted to flash back to 4.0.4 odin doesn't reconize that there is my device. My device also says that my sd card isn't working. I think i did something really wrong rhere and i hope someone can help me... Thank you and sorry for my english i'm from germany :/

I have read other threads on my current issue, but i didnt find a sloution.
I updated my s3 to XXEMG6 4.1.2 and my phone got stuck in bootloops frequently and recently the 4.3 update came out and i updated it and the phone ran smoothly till today and my phone cant get off bootloop. can someone explain to me what must i do? must i get it for a repair or must i flash it with some rom?

What would help other people to post answers for you is if you could list what you have done to solve the problem..There are lost of things you can do but it would be helpful to list what you have done to solve the problem, so that people are not posting answers that you have already tried.. Also don't forget to read the stickies on the subject..:good:
As you have already read and tried all the fixes then you need a service centre repair .
