[Q] Stuck at log in screen, entering gmail isn't unlocking it? - HTC Rezound

Hello,
So I guess I logged myself out of my rezound? it gives me the option to put in my password but I don't know the password, and it says "forgot password" when i click that it says enter username(gmail) and password. but when i DO it says it's invalid.
I obviously know my password/email and just checked them on gmail on my computer, so that's not it either. My device is not rooted, and runs ICS.
Is there anything I can do to avoid doing a factory reset at this point? Because I don't have a sim card and that would wipe all the data.

I would go to Verizon, they should be able to help you.
Anyone helping you on here might be helping you to hack into someone else's phone, so I'm not sure anyone will tell you how to do it if it is even possible.

recovery password after multiple failed attempts on pattern unlock

Hey Guys.
A friend of mine tried to unlock my phone and made multiple failed attempts and choose some option which now have resulted in the phone being BLOCKED. it is not showing the "normally available option" of logging in via the gmail account. It is asking for a recovery password. I have no idea what that password is as i never set such a password. I have tried all my accounts on the phone. i tried 0000 and 00000000 aswell for the default passwords but of no avail. The screen shows "Recovery password required to unblock phone".
When i give a wrong password it says "Incorrect recovery password. All data will be wiped in line with security policy". As i dont want to do this i turn off my phone and upon restarting it this happens again. I tried removing the battery for sometime.Keeping the phone turned off etc but nothing positive.
Any suggestions on a workaround or what might the password be?

This is the exact same setup as a stolen phone will show . So best advice is return the phone to the network/phone supplier who should be able to reset on evidence of purchase .
Incorrect recovery password. All data will be wiped in line with security policy
Means a security policy has been set up by the owner of the phone .
In case of a stolen phone or such symptoms XDA cannot get involved in workarounds that may be illegal .

Guys its my own phone no stolen thing. it is not on a network. The guy was trying to unlock it and made too many tries with it.
Regarding the policy, i did have my exchange account setuped on the phone which required the pattern lock in the first place. May it had such a policy but i am not aware of that. So any wild ideas?
Regarding unlocking i didnt say "unlock". i said "unblock". this unblock thing has nothing to do with the network unlocks.

the last person who asked me about this was actually with a stolen phone where also offered money for help.
wanna know why it looks like it indeed is stolen as the one i said up here?
1º: Because anyone MUST choose pin or pattern as a safety care if knock code doesnt work, if you didnt, its because that phone isnt yours.
2º: a interesting point, very dumb one actually, if the main gmail account isnt yours, put your own email and password wont help, as it isnt the one used in the device.
SO: only solution is factory reset.
please also wipe internal memory and sdcard.

HELP Locked out of device

I was flashing the new small eui rom. It flashed perfectly however I cannot get past the leeco sign up or register screen. It says my phone number is assosiated with this phone and asks me to enter my password. The problem is I never created a password for it. When I press forgot my password I get an error that tells me I cannot reset my password from this screen.
When I go on my computer to the website to reset my password it tells me they will send a verification code to my phone to reset. The problem is, I cannot get to my text messages due to having no way to bypass the screen.
Is there anyway I can reset my password somehow to bypass the screen?
I still have access to twrp.
Thank you
If you don't need access to the data on the phone, wipe all besides storage and re install small eui.
But before you do anything, create a backup with TWRP!
I tried that and that didnt work. I read that it is based on your IMEI.
I did figure it out though. I put my sim card into my wifes phone. Reset the password via SMS verification using her phone, then I was able to reset the device.

Can you provide more details on how you solved it if someone else run into such issue? Is your wifes phone same model? How can you request to reset password?
You don't need another device if you have this problem. You can just install one of the non-eui custom roms like Lineage, or one of the older eui roms that allow you to skip the leeco account log in step, and get the text that way.

By me putting my sim card in my wife's phone I am able to receive SMS from my number on her phone.
Once I put the card in, I went on the computer and reset my password via SMS, so the sms went to my wife's phone. I got that code and was able to reset my password through my computer.

I was able to request the password reset through the leeco website. Below is the link.

[CLOSED] Can anyone help unlocking the phone of my father who just passed away?

Like the title says, my father just passed and we're locked out of his phone.
Don't want to factory reset the phone because all of his accounts are on there in apps and we're not able to figure out if we missed anything. Worried about upcoming bills and then any stocks or trades he did only in apps.
Currently the phone is requiring a pattern unlock and I've unsuccessfully been able to guess it so it kind of locked us out of doing anything. Can't even power off or reset it.
It's also saying "unlock the phone to use fingerprints." Does that mean even if we were to somehow guess the pattern would we still need the fingerprint to open the phone?
Is there a way we can bypass any of this? I looked into some programs and downloaded them but they all said they would erase the data if we removed the pattern unlock.
I have access to his Gmail via a tablet that we knew the pin code for but haven't been able to reset the password just yet. Not sure if having the google account password available will help us unlock the phone or not?
Any help or links to tutorials would greatly be appreciated.
By sheer luck I was able to guess the swipe unlock pattern so the phone is now unlocked for me. Mods can delete this thread if they want.

Is it possible to bypass the pin code on a phone without fastboot unlock or developer mode enabled?

I am working on a phone for someone that had a heart attack and as a result has forgotten his pin code on his phone. I know I can factory reset but I'm trying to find a way to get back into the phone to recover all his data. I can get into download mode so I was wondering if there is any kind of firmware hack that can be installed in order to just ignore pin altogether. I don't think the data is encrypted. We have been able to recover his gmail account but the lock screen never shows a "forgot your pin?" I tried using find my phone but it says it can locate the phone but that find my phone isn't running. Any help would be really appreciated.

As far as I know, even with those enabled you can't bypass login pin code. If that was the case, you could take anyone's phone, factory reset it, and use it.
? I thought that was kinda the whole point of the existence of XDA. I've already found that Dr. Fone can factory reset and take over a phone. There must be something that can be done in download mode.
