[Q] Boot Animations - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I am running SlimBean and my kernel is Dorimanx.
I would like to remove both of their boot logos to add the stock one created by GaboWinter.
How can I do this safely?
Quick question: Is supposed that my S2 looks like a tablet running SlimBean?!
Thanks in advance.

Dude. Why you can't search ? It's many times created thread before you...
With Paranandroid you can do you Sgs2 like tablet.
I didn't use slim bean so I can't say.
Send form Galaxy S2. But I don't have it :-\

1. Just go to the path /system/media and replace the bootanimation.zip with the one that you choose.
1.1 I didn't create any bootanimation by the way
2. Only if you activate the tablet mode on Settings - Interface - General UI - Force tablet mode.

[Q] Samsung Clock Application

Tablet Mode on Stock Firmware?

Hi there,
sorry if this is a newbie question.
Is it possible to activate "Tablet Mode" on the stock firmware? Or run an application that is only available for tablets?
My problem is: There is a magazine I've subscribed to (this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=br.com.abril.revsupernoandroid3&hl=en) and I'd love to read it on my SGSIII, the screen is bigger enough. However, I can't, since the app is only available for tablets. I read it on my Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus but I'd like do sell it and use only my Galaxy SIII to read it.
If it's not possible on the stock firmware, would it be possible to somehow hack the application to run on phone mode if I could find it's apk? Or, if this is only possible with custom firmware, which one do you recomend? I used to run CM9 on my oldie Galaxy 5 but only because the stock firmware sucked hard, which I believe is not the case with the S3.
Thanks a lot.
Download Rom toolbox and change to 160 dpi, go to performance- >bild.prop tweaks and change from there lcd density to 160 from the app
You will need root permission for it
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Download allwinner apps to tweak build.prop file and then u can enjoy
If not,you have to change build.prop files manually.

[Q] Replace JB Animations with ICS ones

Hey all.
I just switched my S3 from ICS to a JB Custom Rom and I don't like the new animations. Is there a way to get back the ICS animations?
Maybe search for icon packs, or Ask in the Custom Rom thread you downloaded from, or if all else fails, then you could revert back to ICS if you really wanted lol.
I'm sure I just have to change a few files but I need to know which ones.
Hi,
With Nova launcher you can back to ICS animations but if you don't (want) use another launcher than Touchwiz... I don't really know.
Animations are in framework, but what is need to edited...
EDIT: ok it's not for Jelly Bean ROM based but maybe an idea here (about the method and the path?): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1342117

[Q] Is there a way to make a zip that would convert a tablet UI Rom to standard UI?

I was just wondering if there was a way to install a zip that would convert a tablet UI made ROM into a standard/phone UI rom?
I'm only asking as most of the JB roms are tablet ui, and I understand they are all the rage these days, but I prefer the larger text and having to scroll the menu's?
Or is the only real way to make my own ROM?
thanks!

Nevermind, I did find an answer in the Galaxy S3 forums:
Just go into Paranoid Android Settings, and Disable Hybrid Mode (Needs to be done from Root Explorer though)
You can change it manually by editing the /system/etc/paranoid/preferences.conf file with a root browser.

The default theme that came with your clone would not have been a theme compatible with the S3. Themes are often not compatible between different rom versions on the same phone, let alone on different phones.
All you can do is try to find a forum for your phone (which is not an S3)

Hey
Thanks for the quick reply.
Ive already found a sIII fake forum, and have rooted, flashed and got a new rom on my phone.
The only thing was that the default Rom which comes with the galaxy sIII is different to the andriod rom I have currently. I was looking for a way to get the default theme, then work out how to mod it, to make it compatible with my device
thanks

Theme elements are contained within /system/frameworks/twframework-res.apk and /system/app/systemui.apk
Download any s3 ROM from sammobile.com or here
Might be easier to download one of the CWM stock zips and extract what you want .
