The default theme that came with your clone would not have been a theme compatible with the S3. Themes are often not compatible between different rom versions on the same phone, let alone on different phones.
All you can do is try to find a forum for your phone (which is not an S3)

Hey
Thanks for the quick reply.
Ive already found a sIII fake forum, and have rooted, flashed and got a new rom on my phone.
The only thing was that the default Rom which comes with the galaxy sIII is different to the andriod rom I have currently. I was looking for a way to get the default theme, then work out how to mod it, to make it compatible with my device
thanks

Theme elements are contained within /system/frameworks/twframework-res.apk and /system/app/systemui.apk
Download any s3 ROM from sammobile.com or here

Might be easier to download one of the CWM stock zips and extract what you want .

look at the other thread of cyanogenmod 7 development for Samsung Galaxy 5 device)
Since I'm a developer of the Cyanogen port for this phone, let me answer:
Until the major bugs are fixed, we recommend you use Froyo. However, you will probably enjoy testing Cyanogen 7 for a day or so, if you can forgive the bugs.

In my current ROM - Indic font rendering is not working properly. I replaced DroidSansFallback.ttf in font folder. It is having right font now, however Conjuncts are not working. Any idea about that..
Also is it taken care in Cyanogen 7
CyanogenMod
I'm using the subpsyke's CyanogenMod and it's really good. A little slow but whatever
I recommend CyanogenMod 7.1 hotfix 1.4 .. is f***ing stable and works fast....I like this very much....ADW Launcher is incredible.I like that the menu was changed from that page format to grid...I got a lot of apps and games and they works fine.
Cyangen mod
i use Cyanogen Mod 7,1, and has overclocked my phone to 768mhz.
Its a new phone, me like it now.
I would definitly choose Cyanogen over original rom.

Help with Flashed ROM [Wanamlite v10.6]

Hi to all,
Recently rooted my stock SGS2 i9000, and flashed it with the above rom.
Couple of noob questions though.
How to access the rom's settings?
ie, i dont want the battery percentage icon showing?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thxs.
Hi, that rom is based on the stock samsung firmware, it doesn't really have many tweakable options like that, go with a AOKP rom if you want a load of options to tweak and play with.

Thxs for the quick reply.
Do you have any favourite roms that would suit my needs (tweakable).
thxs.
If you have the i9000 instead of the i9100, best to check out their section on xda. Not a good idea to flash i9100 roms on the i9000.

Huh... you want a rom built by samsung but that has absolutly nothing samsung made in it? Not sure how's that even possible
There's only 2 ways to go, from what i understand:
- for absolutly nothing related with samsung your best bet is any rom compiled (and modded) from google sources like CM10, aokp, slimbean, etc
or
- any samsung based rom with those aroma setups that allow for the removal of just about anything before installing. In this sense you'll be good with just about any rom you pick since all seem to have it But you'll still have samsung stuff in it since they built it, not sure if there's how to go round that

[Q] Stock theme on custom ROM

Hi i have just bought a galaxy s3 and i would like to put it a custom rom but i like the original samsung theme. I have seen a lot of customs rom on the forum but i feel kind of lost and i dont know which one should i choose, any reccomendation, suggestion or something else?
Thanks

It's funny, because everyone wants to change the stock theme to AOSP.
To keep the original theme, flash one of the Samsung based ROMS (Android development subforum), they'll have the version letters in the title (the current version is LL5)
Many roms have a stock theme .
Read the roms description first .

A clue a rom beginning with o has a stock theme and so do many others .

[Q] 4.2 keyboard for Omega Rom (4.1.2) 43.1

I am sorry if there is already a thread like this , but I couldn't find it.Actually I found some similar posts (4.2 keyboard) but after I flashed their "zips" nothing heppened.I installed Vegeta's mod , maybe that is why it is not working , cus I changed System UI.I am not sure if that means anything cus I am new in "rooting" but I will appreciate somebody's help.
So , I am asking for stock JB 4.2 keyboard (like Nexus 4 has) to install on Galaxy S3 with Omega Rom 43.1 . Thanks in advance.
