Is there anything i can do before i sent my phone to Sony center? I've try reflash my phone using SUS and Flashtool but nothing happen. This phone can still charge, but after i reflash this phone it still stuck at SONY logo. ive try both official ics and gb rom still can solve the problem.
What rom did you use, what has caused the problem, etc? Can you give us more information?

Have you tried another sim card? Maybe sim card is damaged a little bit.
Edit: the phone should boot without sim card, so I don't know...

i've try boot it with/without sim card and with another sim card still doesnt solve.
ive reflash many custom/stock rom in X8,X10 mini pro, Xperia Sola all done except this one xperia ray st18i!!

I am guessing that your friend pulled the sim card while the phone was plugged in, because you have to remove the battery to remove the sim card and that would power the device down. Hopefully you weren't flashing anything at that moment because he might have interrupted the flash. Try to flash again with flashtool including the baseband and make sure everything is coming from the same release of firmware. Make sure to check the flashtool log for errors and report any errors here....if everything is flashing correctly and you still get stuck see this tut for rescuing a hard bricked ray (the title is wrong, because it is for soft bricks like yours): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1492805

this phone bootloader is still locked. i havent unlock this phone yet.. thats is why i still can flash using SUS. anyway thats for replying me :good:

Are you sure you want to unlock before you unbrick? Doesn't sound like the best idea to me.

first download FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick

Follow instructions (if u familiar with updating with sony ericsson pc companion, this u can do)
Simple, start FlashTool_0.2.9.1_FOTAUnbrick, click flash. Choose loader.sin on the right. Then click OK,
Turn of phone, hold in back button while connect phone with usb cable.
See its flashing, wait til its done, unplug phone,. try to boot up phone.
I am also a newbie, but this worked for me

Anyway @lilbunnyf if your phones boot loader is unlocked using s1tool method do not use seus or pc companion.As I read in forum this can brick your phone.Try flashtool.If you got a locked boot loader or patched one with setool2 then you can use pc companion(this thing saved my phone like 5-6 times now after kinda bricking it with roms kudos se for this xD)

i wanted to install se tweak so i use cwm the installation is complete after rebooting my phone is bricked... so please... im begging help me...
i've tried using flashtool to reflash to stock but i cant get my phone connected... it seems i cant go to fastboot mode...
I managed to get stuck in a boot loop today. I have a locked bootloader and SEUS did the job, so I guess that is the best solution for the problem mentioned by OP.

Since you unlock it via s1tool, you should still be able to use SEUS.
Anw, why fastboot mode? Have you tried to connect it in flashmode?
I think i broke my USB port of my phone :O
Im able to charge the phone
But i cannot put the phone in mass storage, i even tried to do so in CWM
Every time i connect it i get error: Malfunctioned USB devices or something
Now i cant flash or copy files or lock my bootloader :O
Any way to fix it ?? :O

What i was thinking was to send the phone to them saying i bricked it, ie failed sftware upgrade

After trying Ubuntu on android I cud not connect my sd card to pc in msc mode but mtp worked ,after reboot msc worked again. so maybe tray to take a look in that before anything else.

I am not sure,but yeah this can be the issue since it was connected to main power line and little electric short can do the trick for the port:/.I guess try sending it to the service center.About the boot loader you can relock only if u used official method right? if official method was used then in logs your imei will be saved means they will detect it.But here most of shop guys even got no idea what is root,boot loader(terms) :/ and since you are from our neighbor country I assume things are not much different and they won't notice unlocking the bl.
Also try with another memory card,just in case.
People at service centre of sony are mad! They wont even figure out if you're rooted or your bootloader is locked! If you give them your phone for some software problem.. They just format the phone n give it back to you everytime! They don't know what's root and bootloader.. And since you have hardware prob.. They probably won't check anything related to your software.

This happened to me in february with my Xperia X8. The weird thing is I totally killed my phone trying to opening the bootloader, but you say your Ray is dead 'cause you installed Pureness and flashed a baseband; I'm not an expert but I think flashing the baseband messed with the bootloader, of course, if I'm wrong please someone correct me.
I tried to revive my X8 with all methods I found around the web, with no results. The only advice I can give is trying to find a person with Medusa Box and see if he can bring your Ray back to life, but this may be quite hard.
Or... Sending to SONY support, maybe they could fix it, as you didn't touch the bootloader, but if it was already unlocked, then they wouldn't do anything for you.
send it to sony support, if you still have warranty but unlocked bootloader, then they will charge some fees, if you still have warranty and didnt unlocked bootloader, maybe they'll fix it for free, but if you dont have warranty chances are they wont fix it for you.

I think if u flash baseband, the phone should be back to factory reset...
I have flashed via flashtool new baseband on stock rom ics, from .72 to .77
After reboot,all of my apps have gone..just like we buy a new phone...
But i dont know in pureness (custom rom)... is that baseband made the phone to factory reset or not...
I think u should inject ur phone with JTAG.. This somekind of stuff that sony nor samsung have at the customer service...

how did you get to this mode?
This mode basically is under qualcomm usb download mode. I'm not sure but you can try to search under htc forum where got lot of powerful dev for this prob. I think you have to install like qualcomm usb driver in order for the phone to be properly detected by the computer. Then you need some kind of qualcomm program in order to use the phone with? probably qms or something? try google for "QHSUSB_DLOAD"
I had the same situation. nothing will help here. flash memory is dead. so in my case I flashed ics then stock rom and it rebooted and same symptoms . so the only way out was to buy broken xperia ray on ebay and change phone's "motherboard"

The led works like green in flash mode, or red when i finish the flash and the device is still connected. I have a locked bootloader, and all this happened when i wanted to restore a backup, i probably made a mistake: do a full wipe after that. I think that's is still in warranty, isnt' it? What can i do? There are some tips on the tutorial but i'm afraid to kill the battery or make other mistakes. Please help me guys.

Yes and flash is ok but when i turn on it's still on sony screen...i waited about 5 minutes. I tried with 6.1.1.B.1.54 and with 6.1.1.B.1.1.0 with same result. I know i have to wait after flash a stock firmware but i see it's too much time. Maybe because when i want to switch off i have to use hard reset (i mean with all 3 button). In any case, if you don't solve the issue by yourself, your phone is still in warranty (just don't say to the reparation service that you played with flashtool )

You tried with the Sony PC Companion/Update Service? It uses flashmode.. When I bricked my U i had relocked my bootloader and flashed via PC Companion... Worked for me :fingers-crossed:

All started when I tried to put a GB ROM. I got 'Status 7' error in recovery. Everything went wrong from there.
IF ONLY it had a removable SD card and I wouldn't have lost any hair.
Please write in steps what I need to do to put GB ROM on it. Which recovery?, because all recoveries I see are for ICS or ICS+ versions.
I am using 'Flashtools' for everything. Recovery, ATM, has no ADB side load. So start from A and end at Z.

You can try and connect your xperia phone to PC Companion..download it its free..or you can also SEUS..when connected it will give you a prompt to fix the phone and it will download the firmware and flash it after..
Are you sure that will help?. The phone in question is in other city and I will be there for a day or two. I dont want to be stuck.
The only thing that is on the phone is CWM 5.5.x.x version.
That should help..i used to own xperia devices in the past..with the last one being the xperia SL LT26ii..got it bricked flashing ROMs to it..plugged it in to PC Companion and got detected..it then asks you to fix the phone's software..root is lost during the process..atleast it gets your phone up and running again..
