Hello!
I have a problem with my phone after the ICS update.I updated my phone with Sony PC companion and after my phone system applications are get crashed (com.android.phone.,Xperia starter screen, etc.)I downgrade my phone with flashtool to the original 2.3.7 but the problem is still there.
Any solutions?
Thanks for the helping.
Do a hard reset/erase factory data .
Good Luck !!
I tried many times so far.
Did you tried to install a custom ROM ?
No I didn't.Can you link me a custom ROM?
No problem : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001948
That custom ROM is for locked bootloader and it requires ROOT access and CWM on your phone.
Good Luck!
(And don't forget to press the THANKS button if i helped )

Hey guys,
i have a very very big problem.
The X10i of my girlfriend restarts randomly the last weeks, so i decided to flash the new firmware using "Sony Ericsson PC Companion" (Germany).
So far no problems, i connected and updated the firmware, SEUS said "done, please disconnect and restart" and now the touchscreen is functionally only for about 5 - 10 seconds.
After this i can't press anything except the hard keys.
If I do nothing, the phone restarts.
I've already done the firmware update twice but no difference.
Can anybode help me?!
Thanks

edit2:
Problem still there.
Sometimes I can use the touchscreen for a short period of time, but after a while there ist still the problem from the beginning.

edit:
I've just used the Flash Tool to downgrade and upgrade the kernel.
Now it seems that there are no problems anymore.
I hope so.
goto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=920746 and flah a 2.1 ftf file into the x10 and it should fix it.
If still not working send it to Sony Ericsson for a repair and make stutter you unroot your phone beforehand.

Flashing/Installing Miui 1.9.16 language pack
Thank you guys,
after rebooting the phone several times there isn't any problem with the touchscreen anymore.
I don't know what the problem was and if it will get back.
Maybe I will try your suggestion x10 2.2 user.
Now I have another question:
I've flashed a miui 1.9.16 rom and it's working like a charm.
But I can't using the language pack by saandur to change the rom language to german (my girlfriend isn't very familiar to the english language), I've tried all possible combinations of wiping the cache partition and dalvik cache before and after flashing.
My process was:
Stock 2.3.3. Android rom
-> used Flashtool to get root access
-> used Flashtool to install xRecovery
-> installed miui 1.9.16 rom using xRecovery
-> rebooted
-> wiped dalvik cache
-> flashed language pack
-> reboot
But in the settings I can only choose between english and chinese.
Any suggestions?
Hello,
I have a weird problem, I sold my X10 mini pro, but the customer has a weird force close of the phone app...
the rom version is 2.1.1.A.0.6 as it is the latest available with an italian KIT number.
Anyone knows how to solve this?
He already tried to reflash via Pc Companion, and hard reset via settings...
he is allready done hard reset and memory reset and what the phone doing now?
he says that sometimes the phone hangs, and it shows the phone FC, the only way to reboot is to take the battery out. But the rom is the original one
if the phone is stock... 3 things
1. the phone has problem in it electronic cirquits not firmware
2. he maybe try to unlock it or root it or other kernel /rom
3. dont put the battery out just press the menu button and on/off button together to reboot it
tell him to make a reset and let the phone as stock without programms to see... if the phone has stock apps with the latest stock firmware maybe is the (1.) if the phone is stable in stock mode tell him that is some programm make that hang... because i see that on my phone where i had it stock... install apps only from android market and see if it stable.... then continue easily and stable ... not 5 to 5 programms every time....

I don't think he rooted or installed anything, and the phone was working fine when I had it. It's so weird...
if the phone work fine when u had it and is stock and it did not fall down and brake any electronic parts tell him to reset it all everythings programms and start from begginng maybe is a programm... or else he is unlucky guy recycle or fix it to Sony Ericsson... after all i believe that is a programm problem and i say again ... if the truth is that the phone is stock...
IMHO full memory (on-board).
Remove some apps...
Cheers,
M.
First I want to thank all members that have invested precious time and effort to help everyone! You are doing an amazing job!
Second thing I want to say is that I've searched the hell out of the Xperia X10 forum to find solution for my problem. But everything I found and tried was so far unsuccessful. After 1 week of unsuccessful trials, today I decided to join and open this thread as a final effort to seek for answers and a possible solution.
Problem: Every time I open camera application I receive message: "Camera not available"
Tested solutions:
1. I tried SEUS and upgraded to latest firmware: - Phone wont start, gets stuck on camera icon.
2. I tried Sony PC companion, update mode: Same as number 1. Then I tried repair mode: Same as 1.
3. I tried Re-installing a dozen of stock firmwares, 1.6 , 2.1 , 2.3. From branded to Global: - Phone works perfectly, but "Camera not available".
4. I rooted, installed xrecovery, tried several solutions, changed files. no progress.
5. Installed custom rom: Donut HD2.2.6 - Phone works amazingly, but "Camera not available"
Phone info:
Sony Ericsson Xperia X10i
Baseband: 2.1.71
Kernel version: 2.6.29-00054-g5f01537 [email protected] #1
Build number: DonutHD2.2
ETS is ******-8
Currently rooted and installed CWM and Xrecovery.
Cant unlock bootloader since it doesn't recognize certificate
I had a SD card problem before. Solved it by formating sd card with HP disk format software.
I hope someone could help me with this. I don't want to believe that the camera is dead because the phone is in perfect condition. But this would eventually be the final answer.
Thank you!
Have you try this:

I don't know if that is solution for your problem, but you may try.

Unfortunately I'm not able to try and test this solution because I requires a rooted stock android 2.1 (eclair).
My phone doesn't start up on any of the 2.1 stock versions. So far I flashed around 7-8 different 2.1 versions from global to branded etc. but no luck.
Camera with arrow on screen icon appears after which "Sony Ericsson" screen appears and phone gets stuck here and phone temperature rises.
This happens with all 2.1 versions and also when I update with SEUS latest X10 android version.
Only 2.3.3 functions properly on my phone and amazingly battery lasts for 2-3 days even with constant usage of wifi, calls, music and gaming.
But when I tried your suggested solution with the rooted 2.3.3 it gave me some errors in the CMD. Which I tried resolving by running "runme" file as administrator. But another error appears. This is I suppose because of the different android version. The guy says that it works only on a rooted stock 2.1 firmware.
Is there any other way I could test his solution on 2.3.3 rooted stock firmware ?
Thanks again for the reply!
I appreciate it!

Good evening!
My significant other is the one who owns an Xperia Z2 and I just want to help her about what's happening to her phone.
The situation is that updating to Android 6.0 is not a good idea because ever since she updated her Z2, a persistent problem goes to show. Few days after updating to Android M, the phone lags every now and then and eventually ends up on a bootloop. Now on my part, I did a recovery through Sony Companion using a PC and then restored it to it's factory state. I thought we fixed the problem until few weeks passed and it happened again (lags-freeze-bootloop). I did the same process of restoring it every time it enters boot loop but the problem still arise.
I have little knowledge about how Sony Xperia phones work since it mainly relies on Sony Companion because usually Xperia phones have their bootloader locked unlike ASUS' and Samsung's phones.
I can't identify if this is a hardware or software issue because as for my observation, the problem just arise on Android 6.0
What could be the problem of her Z2 and what is the best possible solution to do?
Thanks in advance and God bless.

Use flashtool by androxyde to reflash the whole MM FW of your region and carrier. If it doesnt work, flash an older version of FW ( KK or LP ) to see if the problem still there.
Btw, is your phone rooted?

Her Z2 isn't rooted, also there is no access to recovery mode since I can't enter recovery when I pressed the button combination.
Should I restore it with Sony Companion and then enable usb debugging so that I can enter recovery mode? If not, can you give me a heads up on what should I do? Thanks

Head over to flashtool and download an older android FW through it. And then flash it using flashtool.

Got the same problem with the latest stock version of my carrier, which I believe is 6.0. This problem also appears with Existenz ROM v5.1.0 which runs Android 6.0.1. Will try an older version of Android and test if the problem keeps appearing.
Thank you all,
