Code was completely removed from jb. Not happening soon, may not happen at all.

It wasn't removed, it just wasn't there. This is jelly bean 4.1 not 4.2. What does piss me off is that HTC took off the extended notification two finger slide down.

This is what I've been using. I like it more than HTC's quick settings - much more customizable.

That link for power toggles? I hated the one everyone baked into their ROM. Ruined the cool preview pane in the notification bar and just looked bad. Power toggles looks like the cm10 quick settings. Much better.

Ummm according to others that looked into the code, it was said that HTC removed more of the quicksettings code from many more files than last time when we didn't have it... That's what they are referring to. Nothing to do with 4.2 and the quick settings addition that brings in itself as that acts differently than what was removed... Though could be the reason HTC started removing it to prep for how they handle the 4.2 quick settings...

I like this one myself.

Yeah likely bc they are getting ready for how they handle it in 4.2 as quick settings is different completely in AOSP then so it likely borked what they had and they need to think of some other way to fix it ... Only thing I can guess so far...

Gotta remove the old first... Doubt ud see any traces of 4.2 stuff in there... Prolly more just them prepping for the changes in stages... That's the only logical thing I can come up with as to why they'd remove it. ...

The thing I noticed was a change in the dropdown menu:
In the center of the top of the pulldown menu, there's a little arrow. When you press it, ALL your basic quicksetting toggles pop up. I thought that was pretty cool.

really? its a super minor update with almost no changes, HTC has much better things to be spending its time and money on than giving you a tiny update that 99% of people would never see any changes from. and btw everything I've ever heard points to HTC being the best with updating Android

Any chance you could link to a sourcecode on that menu?
2.3.5 was more of Nexus S 4G update than an actual android update. I'm sure there's minor bugfixes that justify them claiming it to be the latest Android OS version, but any changes that took effect since I updated haven't been noticed by me yet.

I downloaded a Sensation full app dump and found a htchubsyncprovider.odex and .apk. I am guessing they will do no good unless we have s-off and root. I can post them if someone wants.
I tried popping some of the APKs in and installing them, but no dice.. noob fail... Will just have to wait for root and a stock rom, I'd like to get sense.com back on it!
If the skins work reguardless of resolution, I can load up a sense 3.5 rom on my desire right before I get the rezound and download all the skins and such and then just dump them off my phone. That is assuming I get get the GSM Desire Sense 3.5 rom booting with a cdma patch.
No promises
Not that would really use this much. But, it really annoys the hell out of me. Not as much as the lack of landscape homescreens though.

Curious. Is the hub something that will come in time with or without Verizon block? Via update or something? Or is it only possible with s-off? Do other carriers do this? I'm so frustrated at this point with Verizon. I like this phone but I feel a bit ripped off. I also wonder if I don't know what the hell I'm talking about and just need to relax.

I believe that the RZD is the only 720p HTC phone atm and because VZW told HTC to keep the Hub to themselves, HTC hasn't had any reason to make extra skins for the RZD. Here's hoping that we can use the skins from unreleased 720p HTC phones that don't get ****-blocked by VZW.

Yes, I have a thread of a handful of them on here, and bunch on the market. The reason most skins from other sense 3.6 builds don't work on the rezound is the Android version in the manifest. Once changed they will work as long as resolution is correct

Yea I have seen one I like, but it didn't show up, guess I will have to hack it and make the version correct.
Also, HTC stopped talking to me when I told them, I am running a custom Rom, not the bloated, spyware infested Rom from verizon and they are not subject to the terms verizon forced upon them.

From what I've gathered, it's in the works. But, the devs are having problems with the coding? I remember one discussion of the code being present in Gingerbread but not in ICS.

It was a built in feature of gingerbread, was even one of the things they demonstrated during the gingerbread presentation. The reason you may think it was special for custom roms is that most carrier stock roms disabled it for whatever reason.

As soon as CM10 (or CMX) is fully functional, I'll be all over it. I've tried a couple of the builds, and it's progressing very nicely. Deck & toast are doing an amazing job with it. For me, it's pretty much a camcorder away from being a daily.
There is no on/off button for LTE like there was for WiMAX. It's always on unless you go into wireless settings and turn it off.

Am I the only one who's not a big fan of google now? It bothers me how scrolling through search results is slower than on the standard google search app (i.e. the screen doesn't continue scrolling for a bit after you take your finger off). I also find that sometimes tapping on links for sub results doesn't work...the link is highlighted briefly but the page never loads. Is anyone else having problems with that? I'm using Clean Rom at the moment but I've noticed the same things on Mean.
Is it possible to revert back to the stock google search? Is there an apk I can replace or is google now embedded in the ROM?
