that's really hard to believe when they are all hi res, but its fine. If there were SUPER HD then the app would be 4 times bigger too.

If I wanted to submit wallpapers (I just found a great collection of ~1,200 wallpapers, a lot of fantasy and nature stuff, some abstract) what resolution should they be in?
I would be willing to crop some.
Though, looking in the package, it doesn't look like there is a default size, is there a preferred size?

The Optimus G has a resolution of 768*1280. But I personally favor any high 4:3 resolution so I can use it as a scrolling wallpaper.

The app sizes them to fit any screen. Never make them the actual screen size.

[REQ] Resized LWP Asus Day Scene

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1638541
APK located in those threads that work with the Note Tab.
I think this might just be a resolution issue, I looked at how to get this LWP to work for Nexus 7/you just change the DPI of the system. I tried playing around with different DPI's on my N2 and it would load without FC, but it was super zoomed in. Since we got auroa working, any chance of someone resizing this to work with the note 2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=37318299&postcount=4
someone had modded this to work on the note 2, but the resolution is a bit small. i have pm'd him and he seems to be working on making one with the corrected resolution/updated apk.
Has anyone heard if this cool LWP has ever been sized to the Note 2 screen. I love the aurora LWP and I have the tried resized day scene. Indeed, it is a little short to cover the entire screen, which just makes it seem ...odd. I can see that if this LWP came to the Note 2 - it would be a really cool set up!
Thanks!!

FYI that wallpaper is the wrong dimension.. you set it to scroll, but you are supposed to be able to see the whole tree. js version ftw
Not working properly on JBv10
Doesn't display correctly on 4x5 TouchWiz scrollable launcher running on JBv10. The wallpaper image needs to be fixed to the Note 2's resolution size: 720 x 1280.
1024x600 - Install was a success. However, missing left and top portion.
1280x800 - Install error/fail.
AsusDayScene.apk + signedAsusDayScene - Install error/fail.
I currently have the 'Blue Skies Live Wallpaper' by Kittehface Software but it's draining too much battery. Hopefully, this LWP will give better battery life. :fingers-crossed:

I did not know that. Resizing the background means the tree and landscape will get dramatically smaller. As the wallpaper was made to be viewed in landscape mode.

In /system/app is LGHome3.apk. You have to extract the apk, open it with winRAR or 7zip, then go to /res/drawable-land-xhdpi-1280x768/, extract all the large wallpapers an that's it. Adding wallpapers to an apk is a lot more complicated though.
Most of the time stock wallpapers are included in the launcher that comes with the phone. This is mostly true for all ROMS and devices. Some ROMS such as CM come with another apk that includes their wallpapers.

[Modded App]Device Frame Generator w/ HTC One Template![7/8/13] Black added!

Hey everyone, I've modded the app Device Frame Generator by f2prateek to include an HTC One template to place screenshots on. All credit goes to f2prateek for the app, I have just slightly modified it. Thanks to ATMOSF3AR for the phone template. Props to Damage_Them and Jonah1234 for testing...

The screenshots save to gallery automatically after the preview is generated, so need to take a screenshot of the screenshot
In the future I may be able to add more devices, if I am provided with a large enough phone template (height around 1700 px)

i dont doubt anything on android heck on the evo 4g i believe some guys made a driver for the rear camera from scratch because the manufacture wouldnt release the driver. and because of that you used to have no camera on 4.2.2 ROM's but now every rom has camera ability for the evo 4g.

Nexus 5 camera question re: G2

So, I just watched the new Nexus 5 ad showing off the camera.
Being pretty serious about photography, my experience with the G2 has been very mixed. In bright light, it's quite good. In anything else (including moving subjects, low light, and dynamic range) it is pretty much garbage. Seems mostly due to image processing and metering as the bright light pics are really good.
I don't think Google would pump up the camera so much if it wasn't excellent, so is this something we might be able to port over once the N5 is released? Or is it going to be hardware specific to the camera module in the N5?
I think it is a hardware specific

Photosphere works on aosp Roms for me if you add the libs

N5 and G2 images look very similar high contrast in light and some over exposed in dark. Looks like they cherry picked code of the G2 as expected. Don't know why you'd use a phone if you're serious about photography.

Photosphere is also in the stock camera app. It's called vr panorama.
Or is there a difference?
Sent from my LG-D802 using xda app-developers app
The way you block each image is different (match square rather than pointing at dot).
I read that aligning the square is supposed to get even better results but I've never had photosphere and have only tried vr pan once so can't say. My first attempt turned out mostly nice though. With some real issues that I attribute to taking some shots out of sequence. Like a whole section then rotating around to start shooting elsewhere before coming back....

Awesome works on the stock rom with these libs in place, just wish there was a way to fix the on screen buttons but I can live with that
Ah and you can't set the camera higher than 8 megapixels.

Yeah but it works on 10 and 13 Mpix just set it in stock camera and that's it. But nothing special for me

Don't we have it in LG stock camera also? What's the big deal?

N5 and G2 images look very similar high contrast in light and some over exposed in dark. Looks like they cherry picked code of the G2 as expected. Don't know why you'd use a phone if you're serious about photography.

Because the best camera is the one you have on you. If you always have your phone on you it's by far the best camera you have.
